நோதங்கம் இல்லாதார்
has no body which is the product of māyā and therefore undergoes suffering

காடு அலால் கருதாதார்
will not think of any other place as fit for dancing except cremation ground
கடல் நஞ்சு உண்டார்
consumed the poison that rose in the ocean
களிற்றுரிவை மெய் போர்த்தார்
covered his body with the skin of an elephant.
கலன் (அது) ஆகு ஓடு அலால் கருதாதார்
will not consider any other vessel to receive alms except the skull
உறு பிணியும் செறுபகையும் ஒற்றைக்கண்ணால் பீடு உலாம் தனை செய்வார்
will destroy the strength of the many diseases and angry enemies by his frontal eye

is attached to the shrine Kāṉappēr (Kāṉappēr is now known as Kaḷaiyār Kōyil)
காதல் செய்து மடம் மன்னும் அடியார் தம் மனத்தின் உள்ளார்
is in the minds of his devotees who bestow love on him and do not know anything by themselves except through his grace
மான் உரி தோல் தோள் மிசையார்
wears on his shoulder a skin of a deer which has been flayed

மூவுலகும் ஏத்தும் முதுல்வர் ஆனார்
in addition to the fact that the three function are of right his, who is praised by the three worlds is the origin of these
கற்றார் பரவும் கழலார்
his feet are praised by learned people.
திங்கள், கங்கையாள் காதலார்
loves the crescent and the lady who is Kaṅkai.
காம்பு ஏய் தோளி பற்று ஆகும் பாகத்தார்
has a half to which the lady with shoulders resembling bamboo is very much attached.
பால் வெண்ணீற்றார்

பான்மையால் ஊழி உலகம் ஆனார்
by his nature, he is the end of the worlds when everything is destroyed, and the worlds.

has a lady who stays in the caṭai which is coiled into a crown, on his head

is praised by the people of the seven world and he rides on a bull
இமையவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் இறைஞ்ச நின்றார்
tevar who do not wink do obeisance to him always.
நீறு ஏறு மேனியார்
has a body thickly coated with holy ash.
நீலம் உண்டார்
drank the poison which is blue in colour (நீலம் ākupeyar)
நெருப்பு உண்டார்
ate the oblations offered in the sacrificial fire

அங்கை அனலும் உண்டார்
