வெண்ணெய் நல்லூர்

ஆர்த்து அருவிவீழ் சுனை நீர் அண்ணாமலை
annāmalai where water is found in mountain springs into which streams fall with a roaring noise.
அறையணிநல்லூர்
āṟaiyaṇi nallūr; (this is now know as aṟai Kaṇṭa nallūr on the north bank of the river south peṇṇai).
அரநெறியும்
araneṟi (this is inside the big temple of tiruvārūr).
நீர் ஏத்த நின்ற ஈசன் இடைமருது, இன்னம்பர், ஏகம்பமும்
ēkampam, iṉṉampar and iṭaimarutu where Civaṉ remained to be praised by you.
(1) கார்த்தயங்குசோலைக் கயிலாயமும்
and Kayilāyam which has gardens which are shining by clouds.
கண்ணுதலான் தன்னுடைய காப்புக்களே
are places of special protection belonging to Civaṉ who has a frontal eye.
ஏத்துமின்கள்
(People of the world!) go there and praise them.

துறை ஆர் வனமுனிகள் ஏத்த நின்ற சோற்றுத்துறை
cōṟṟuttuṟai which remains to be praised by the sages in the forests who follow the paths laid down by their preceptors.
துருத்தி நெய்த்தானமும்

பழனம்
paḻaṉam.
நல்ல கறைஆர் பொழில் புடைசூழ் கானப்பேரும், (1) கழுக்குன்றும்
Kaḻukkuṉṟu, and Kāṉappēr surrounded on all sides by dark gardens.
அறை ஆர் புனல் ஒழுகு காவிரி சூழ் ஐயாற்று அமுதர் தம்முடைய காப்புக்களே
are places of special protection belonging to Civaṉ who is the nectar in aiyāṟu surrounded by the Kaviri where water with a roar blows.

உரையார் தொழ நின்ற ஒற்றியூரும்
oṟṟiyūr which remains to be worshipped by devotees who praise god.
ஓத்தூரும், மாற்பேறும், மாந்துறையும்
ōttūr, māṟpēṟu, māntuṟai.
வரை ஆர் அருவிசூழ் (1) மா நந்தியும்
Mananti which is surrounded by streams which have their source in mountains. (மாநந்தி is āndhra pradesh)

குடமூக்கும், கோகரணம், கோலக்காவும்
Kuṭamūkku, Kōkaraṇam, Kōlakkā (Kokaraṇam is the Karnātaka state) (குடமூக்கு is Kumpakōnam. Kōlakkā is popularly known as tiruttaḷamutaiyār koil near cikāḻi)
பழி நீர்மை இல்லாப் பனங்காட்டூரும்
paṉankāttūr which has no reproachful nature.

பவ்வம் சென்று நின்று திரியும் பருப்பத(ம்) மும்
the mountain to which the ocean goes and fills it and returns; (It refers to Kayilai; The river Krishna's flood is flowing new Sriceylam)
பறியலூர் வீரட்டம், பாவநாசம்
paṟiyalūr vīraṭṭam, pāvanācam.
மவ்வந்து இரையும் மணிமுத்தமும்
beautiful maṇimuttam where the letter ma which is one of the seven notes of diatonic scale, the fourth note of the gamut; called mattimam makes a sound.
மறைக்காடும் வாய்மூர் வலஞ்சுழி(ய்)யும்
maṟaikkāṭu, vāymūr and valañcuḻi.
கவ்வை வரிவண்டு பண்ணேபாடும் கழிப்பாலை தம்முடைய காப்புக்களே
and Kaḻippālai where the bees which have lines on them and make a roaring noise only hum like melody types, are the places of special protection.

vīraṭṭam on the bank of the Keṭilam of clear water.
(1) தீக்காலி வல்லம் திருவேட்டியும்
tīkkāli vallam, tiruveṭṭi (vallam in north ārkot Dt. got its name as the acuraṉ by name tīkkāli received the grace of Civaṉ in that shrine)

iṭaittāṉam of Civaṉ who has an army of pūtams, which is the object of ridicule.

ēiccaram, good ēmam, Kutal (maturai)
கொள்ளும் இலயத்தார் கோடிகாவும்
Kōṭikā of the Lord who dances.
குரங்கணில் (1) முட்டமும் குறும்பலாவும்

கள் அருந்தத் தெள்ளியார் உள்கி ஏத்தும் காரோணம் தம்முடைய காப்புக்களே
and Kāroṇam of the Lord whom people of dear knowledge and fit to enjoy the pleasure of his feet meditate on them and praise them, are places of special protection

and Karumari where peacocks are found in large numbers which are found in forests which have great gardens, in addition to paruppatam which is eminent, are the places of special protection of Civaṉ who has a black-neck.

piramapuram which is very much wished by Civaṉ of growing caṭai on which there is flood, always praise.
