மட்டுவார் குழலாளொடு மால் விடை இட்டமா உகந்து ஏறும் இறைவனார்: the Lord who rides on a big a bull joyfully desiring it along with his consort maṭṭuvār Kuḻalāḷ; [[மட்டுவார் குழலாள் is the name of the Tēvi in Cirāppaḷḷi temple.]]
கட்டு நீத்தவர்க்கு இன்னருளே செய்யும் சிட்டர் (போலும்) சிராப்பள்ளிச் செல்வரே: the Lord in Cirāppaḷḷi is the god of established line of good conduct by the virtuous, who grants his sweet grace only to those who have renounced all bondage.

அரி அயன் தலை வெட்டி வட்டு ஆடினார்: Civaṉ played as a game-piece cutting the heads of ari (Māl) and Ayaṉ (Piramaṉ)
அரி அயன் தொழுது ஏத்தும் அரும் பொருள்: the rare object which is worshipped with joined hands and praised by ari and Ayaṉ
பெரியவன் சிராப்பள்ளியைப் பேணுவார், அரி அயன் தொழ அங்கு இருப்பார்களே: those who cherish with love cirāppaḷḷi of the great god, will remain in the world of Civaṉ to be worshipped by ari and Ayaṉ

அரிச்சு இராப்பகல் ஐவரால் ஆட்டுண்டு: Being harassed and eaten away night and day by the five senses; [[ஐவர்: ஐந்து is spoken as ஐவர் out of anger]]
சுரிச்சு இராது நெர்சே ஒன்று சொல்லக்கேள்: (My mind!) Listen to what I say as a good thing, so that you may not be undergoing suffering
திரிச்சிராப்பள்ளி என்றலும்: as soon as you say `tiriccirāppaḷḷi
தீ வினை நரிச்சிராது நடக்கும் நடக்குமே: all our sins will take leave of us definitely without tormenting us, diminished in its severity;; [[நரித்து has become நரிச்சு; being low;]]; [[PP: நரிப்பாய் நாயேன் இருப்பேனோ

பேயனேனையும் ஆண்ட பெருந்தகை: the noble-minded god who admitted a mad man like me also into his grace
தேயநாதன்: the chief of many countries
