நெஞ்சே
my mind!
கெடுவாய்
you will perish
நீ வானம் சேர் மதி சூடிய மைந்தனை நினைகிற்கிலை
you are not able to think of the youth who adorns the crescent that is in the sky.
கூறிடகிற்றியே
you become capable of uttering the names of Civaṉ,
ஆன் அஞ்சு ஆடியை
who bathes in the fire products of the cow.
அன்பில் ஆலந்துறைக்கோன் எம் செல்வனை
and our god who is the King in aṉpil ālantuṟai.

ஆரணப் பொருள் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை நாரணற்கு அரியான் ஒரு நம்பி
the unequalled supreme soul in aṉpil ālantūṟai who is the meaning of the vētam and who is difficult to be find out by nāraṇaṉ (tirumāl)
காரணத்தர்
is the cause of all things.
கருத்தர்
is in the minds of all.
கபாலியார்
and holds a skull in his hand.
வாரணத்து உரிபோர்த்த மணாளனார்
and is the permanent bridegroom who covers himself with the skin of an elephant.

அன்பின் ஆன் அஞ்சு 1. அமர்ந்து உடன் ஆடிய, என்பின் ஆனை உரித்துக் களைந்தவன்
Civaṉ who removed the skin of an elephant by flaying it and converted into a skeleton and who bathed with desire, in the five products of the cow offered with love.
அன்பிலானை
who dwells in aṉpil.
அம்மானை
and the god who is the father.
அள் ஊறிய அன்பினால் நினைந்தார் அறிந்தார்களே
Those who realised him bestowed their thoughts on him with love which springs from the heart

உமை பங்கனார் அடிபாவியேன் நான் உய்ய
I who did not think of the feet of the god who has Umai on one half, to be saved, all these years.

அன்பில் ஆலந்துறைச் செங்கணாரடிச் சேரவும் வல்லனே
am I now capable of reaching the feet of Civaṉ with red eyes who dwells in aṉpil ālantuṟai?

Civaṉ who wears a flower that resembles the feather of a crane.
குளிர் மதிச் சென்னியர்
has on his head a cool crescent
மிக்க அரக்கர் புரம் எரி செய்தவன்
burnt the cities of the proud arakkar.

அக்கு அரையினர்
wears chank-beads on his waist
அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை நக்க உருவரும் நம்மை அறிலறே
the god with a naked form in aṉpil ālanturai will know us.

வழிபடுவோரை வல்லறி தீயே (puṟam, 10-1);

கள்ளம் உள்ள மனத்தவர் காண்கிலார்
those who have deceptive minds are not capable of seeing.
வெள்ளம் உள்ள விரிசடை நந்தியை
Civaṉ, who has the appellation of Nanti also, and who has on his spreading caṭai the floods of Kaṅkai.

some dumb-mutes.
அள்ளல் ஆர் வயல் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை உள்ளவாறு அறியார்
do not know his existence in Aṉpil Ālantuṟai which has fields which have mire.

பிறவி மாயப் பிணக்கில் அழுந்தினும்
even if you have sunk low in the false births which are at variance with one another.
உறவு எலாம் சிந்தித்து உன்னி உகவாதே
without feeling elated by thinking very often about all the relations.
அறவன் எம்பிரான் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை மறவாதே தொழுது ஏத்தி வணங்கும்
make obeisance, praising and worshipping with joined hands without forgetting aṉpil, ālantuṟai, the abode of our master; who is the embodiment of all virtues.

நுணங்கு நூல் அயன் மாலும் இருவரும் பிணங்கி எங்கும் திரிந்து எய்த்தும் காண்கிலா அணங்கன்
Civaṉ, the god who could not be seen though both Ayaṉ who studies subtle works like vētam, and Māl, were at variance with each other and wandered everywhere and got tired.

அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை வணங்கும், நும் வினை மாய்ந்து அறும் வண்ணம்
(People of this world!) adore aṉpil ālantūṟai so that your Karmams may vanish and be completely destroyed.

பொய் எலாம் உரைக்கும் சமண் சாக்கியக் கையன்மார் உரை கேளாது எழுமினோ
start without listening to the words of the deceivers, cakkiyar and camaṇar who talk all kinds of lies (People of this world?)
ஐயன் எம்பிரான் அன்பில் ஆலந்துறை மெய்யன் சேவடி ஏத்துவார் மெய்யரே
honest persons will praise the red feet of Civaṉ the embodiment of truth, our father, and our master in aṉpil ālantuṟai.

இலங்கை வேந்தன் இருபது தோள் இற்று மலங்க மாமலை மேல் விரல் வைத்தவன்
Civaṉ who fixed his toe on the big mountain to make the twenty shoulders of the King of ilankai to be broken, and himself to get confused.
