{$} வெள் எருக்கு அரவம் விரவும் புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் அரன் பொற்கழல் உள் இருக்கும் உணர்ச்சி இல்லாதவர்
Those who have no perception of the golden feet of Araṉ in Puḷḷirukku Vēḷūr on whose matted hairs cobra and white yarcum flowers are mingled, staying in their minds.
நரகக் குழியில் நள் இருப்பர்
will be in the centre of the hollow of the hell.
{5:79}__2+
{$} மாற்றம் ஒன்று அறியீர்
people of this world who do not know any word by way of reply (to the god of death)!
மனைவாழ்க்கை போய்க் கூற்றம் வந்து உமைக் கொள்வதன் முன்னமே
when your house-holder's life comes to an end and before the god of death comes to you to snatch away your life.
புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் போற்றவல்லீரேல்
if you are capable of worshipping Puḷḷirukkuvēḷūr
சீற்றம் ஆயின தேய்ந்து அறும்
the wrath of the god of death will gradually descrease and completely disappear.

{$} அருமறையனை
God who is in the form of the abstruse maṟai (Vētam)
ஆணொடுபெண்ணனை
who is both male and female
கருவிடம் மிக உண்ட எம் கண்டனை
who is our hero who drank much the black poison.
புரிவெண் ணூலனை
who wears the white sacred thread of three strands;
[[மார்பினஃதே மையில் நுண்ஞாண் (Akam, invocatory, verse, l.3.)]]
புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் உருகிநைபவர் உள்ளம் குளிருமே
those whose hearts melt and forgot themselves in Puḷḷirukkuvēlūr will be conforted in mind.
{5:79}__4+
{$} தன் உருவை ஒருவர்க்கு அறிவு ஒணாமின் உருவனை
the god who has a brilliant form like the lighting which could not be known by anybody.
பேணி வெண்ணீற்றனை
god who has besmeared his form with the holy ash.
பொன் உருவனை
one who has the form as bright as gold;
[[பொன்பணைத்தன்ன இறை (Kōvaiyār, 219)]]
புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் என்ன வல்லவர்க்கு இடர்கள் இல்லை
for those who can say that Puḷḷirukkuvēlūr is the residence of that god there will be no sufferings.

{$} செங்கண் மால் பிரமற்கும் அறிவு ஒணா அங்கியின் உரு ஆகி
having assumed the form of fire which could not be known by Māl of red eyes, and Piramaṉ.
அழல்வது ஓர் பொங்கு அரவணை
one who has angry cobra that is naturally wrathful.
புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் மங்கைபாகனை வாழ்த்த இன்புவரும்
happiness will come to those who praise the Lord who has a lady on his half and who is in Puḷḷirukku vēlūr.

{$} குற்றம் இல்லியை
one who has no blemish
கோலச் சிலையினால் செற்றவர்புரம் செந்தழல் ஆக்கியை
one who made the cities of the enemies to be consumed by red fire, with the help of a beautiful bow.
புற்று அரவனை
one who wear cobras living in any-hills.
புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் பற்ற வல்லவர் பாவம் பறையுமே
the sins of those who are capable of holding as their support Puḷḷirukkuvēlūr of that god, will vanish.
{5:79}__7+
{$} கையினோடு கால் கட்டி உமர் எலாம் ஐயன் வீடினன் என்பதன் முன்னம்
before time when your relations will say, our master has expired by tying your hands and feet with a piece of cloth.
[[It is the custom to tie the thumbs and big toes of a corpse with a small piece of cloth]]

thinking in your mind
உகந்து
and feeling happy
சிவன் என்று மெள்ள உள்கி
meditating without bustle on Civaṉ
வினைகெடும்; மெய்ம்மையே
all the karmams will be destroyed; That is true
புள்ளினார் பணி புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் வள்ளல் பாதம் வணங்கித் தொழுமின்
worship joining your hands and prostrating at the feet of the munificent Lord in Puḷḷirukkuvēḷūr where the two birds, Caṭāyu and Campāti, worshipped God

Having pressed down to destroy all the ten heads of Arakkaṉ (Irāvaṇaṉ)

மாமலர்ப் பாதம் நிறுவிய பொருப்பனார் உறை புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூர் விருப்பினால் தொழுவார் வினை வீடும்
the karmams of people who worship with desire Puḷḷirukku Vēḷūr where the god who is seated in Kayilai and fixed firmly his feet resembling big lotus, will perish.
