சீரியார் பயில் சேறையுட் செந்நெறி நாரி பாகன் தன் நாமம் நவிலவே
if one utters the names of Civaṉ who has a lady as a half in the temple Cenneṟi in Cēṟai where noble people are crowded.
புண்ணியம் பூரியாவரும்
all virtuous acts will come to him in full.
பொய்கெடும்
all false-hood will vanish.
கூரிதாய அறிவு கைகூடிடும்
his sharp intellect will prosper

my mind!
மின்னுவார் சடை வேத விழுப்பொருள்; செந்நெல் ஆர் வயல் சேறையுள் செந்நெறி மன்னுசோதி நம் பால் வந்து வைகவே
the light divine which is permanent in cenneṟi in cēṟai which has fields producing red variety of superior paddy, and the highest object of the vētams who has a long caṭai which glitters like lightning, to come to us and stay with us.
என்ன மாதவம் செய்தனை
what great penance you performed in the previous births!

சிறப்பர் சேறையுள் செந்நெறியான் கழல் மறுப்பது இன்றி மனத்தினுள் வைக்க
if one places in his mind without forgetting the feet of the god in cenneṟi in cēṟai, when eminent people live

there is no benefit when you get tired having run for the acquisition of wealth.
சேடர் வாழ் சேறைச் செந்நெறி மேவிய ஆடலான் தன் அடி அடைந்து உய்ம்மின்
save yourselves by approaching the feet of the dancing god who dwells with desire in cenneṟi in cēṟai, where noble people live.

செப்பம் ஆம் சேறைச் செந்நெறி மேவிய அப்பனார் உளர் அஞ்சுவது என்னுக்கே?
the father who dwells in cenneṟi in cēṟai and who is impartial is there to protect us; why should we be afraid of anything?

ஒத்து ஒவ்வாத உற்றார்களும்
and relations who are united with us if we are in affluent circumstances for all outward appearance and leave us when we are in straits, without real love at heart.
எண் செய்வார்
what help will they render when death overtakes us?

Civaṉ who has the form of a mystic who has acquired eight mysterious powers.

the beautiful Civaṉ who dwells with desire in cenneṟi in cēṟai which excells other shrines, is there to protect us.

fixing the feet to make Irāvaṇaṉ who seized and held in his hands the mountain eminent by its fame in which Civaṉ was seated.
மலர் அடி வாங்கினான்
he gently took away the lotus feet.
திருந்து 1. சேறையில் செந்நெறி மேவி அங்கு இருந்த சோதி என்பார்க்கு இடர் இல்லையே
there will be no affliction to those who praise Civaṉ as the light divine that dwelt always with desire in cenneṟi in cēṟai which is perfect in every respect.
