மட்டு இட்ட குழலார் சுழலில் வலைப்பட்டு மயங்கிப் பரியாது
without repenting being confused and caught in the net of the whirlpool of love of women who have tresses of hair into which is tucked fragrant flowers.

join the feet of Civaṉ who dwells in Karuvilikoṭṭiṭṭai so that the Karmams that bound you may leave you.

before the god of death comes to take away your lives.
நீர் கருவிலிக் கோலவார் பொழில் கொட்டிட்டை சேர் மின்
you reach Karuvilikkoṭṭiṭṭai which has beautiful and tall gardens.

without thinking of yourself being ruined.

reach Karuvilikkoṭṭiṭṭai which has gardens which have long branches and where Civaṉ of Veṇkāṭu who granted a weapon to Vicayaṉ assuming the form of a hunter, dwells

Civaṉ wears a hooded cobra in the waist.
படை ஆர் மழுக்கையினான் உறை கின்ற கருவிலிக் கொய் கொள் பூம்பொழில் கொட்டிட்டை சேர்மின்
reach Karuvilikoṭṭiṭṭai which has flower-gardens where flowers can be plucked and where Civaṉ who holds in his hand a weapon of a battle-axe, dwells.

without being too much sunk in sufferings.
தோற்றும் தீயொடு நீர் நிலம் தூவெளி காற்றும் ஆகி நின்றான் தன் கருவிலிக் கூற்றம் காய்ந்தவன் கொட்டிட்டை சேர்மின்
reach Karuvilikkoṭṭiṭṭai of Civaṉ who is rising fire, water, earth and pure space and who destroyed the god of death.

thinking that the transient life could be made permanent.

without committing acts in bad ways

கல் ஆரும் மதில் சூழ் தண் கருவிலிக் கொல் ஏறு ஊர்பவன் கொட்டிட்டை சேர்மின்
reach cool Karuvilikoṭṭiṭṭai surrounded by fortified walls constructed with stones, belonging to Civaṉ who rides on a bull which can gore enemies to death.

please listen to the advice which can relieve you from the birth of sufferings which bind you.
உருத்திர கணத்தினார் தொழுது ஏத்தும் கருவிலிக் குணத்தினான் உறை கொட்டிட்டை சேர்மின்
reach Karuvilikoṭṭiṭṭai which the groups of uruttirar worship with joined hands and praise and where Civaṉ of eight attributs dwells.

நாள் தொறும் எம்பிரான் என்று இமையவர் ஏந்தும் ஏகம்பனார் உறை கருவிலிக் கொம்பனார் பயில் கொட்டிட்டை சேர்மின்
reach Karuvilikkoṭṭiṭṭai where ladies who are slender and supple like the twig of a plant are crowded, and where ēkampaṉar who is praised by the celestials who do not wink as `our chief' dwells.
