ஒருத்தனை
Civaṉ who has no equal.
மூவுலகொடு தேவர்க்கும் அருத்தனை
who is the wealth to the inhabitants of the three worlds and the celestials.
அடியேன் மனத்துள் அமர் கருத்தனை
who is the author of the ideas that rise in my mind, who am his slave.
கடுவாய்க்கரைப் புனல் ஆடிய திருத்தனைப் 1. புத்தூர்ச் சென்று கண்டு உய்ந்தென்(ஏ)
I saved myself by going to puttūr and obtaining a vision of the perfect god who bathed in the water of the river, Kaṭuvāy.

யாவரும் அறிதற்கு அரியான் தன்னை
Civaṉ who could not be comprehended by all.
மூவரில் முதலாகிய மூர்த்தியை
the god who has a form and who is the chief of the three deities, Ayaṉ, ari and uruttiraṉ.
நாவில் நல்லுரை ஆகிய நாதனை
the master who is the good words that rise in the tongue.
தேவனைப் 1. புத்தூர்ச் சென்று கண்டு உய்ந்தென்(ஏ)
I saved myself by going to puttūr and obtaining a vision of the deity there

Civaṉ who is the embodiment of love.
அடியார் இடர் நீக்கியை
who removes the sufferings of his devotees.
செம்பொனை
who is the superior gold.
திகழும் திருக்கச்சி ஏகம்பனை
who is ēkampaṉ in eminent tirukkacci.
கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென்புத்தூர் 1. நம்பனைக் கண்டு நான் உய்யப் பெற்றென்(ஏ)
I had myself saved obtaining a vision of Civaṉ in the beautiful puttūr on the bank of the river Kaṭuvāy

மாதனத் தை
Civaṉ who is the greatest wealth.
மாதேவனை
who has the name of makātēvaṉ.
மாறு இலாக் கோதனத்தில் ஐந்து 1. ஆடியை
who bathes in the five products of the cow which is considered as wealth and whiuch has no comparison.
வெண் குழைக் காதனை
who wears in his (right) ear a mens` ear-ring made of conch.
கடுவாய்க்கரைப் புத்தூர் நாதனைக் கண்டு நான் உய்யப் பெற்றென்(ஏ)
I saved myself by obtaining a vision of the master in puttūr on the bank of the river, Kaṭuvāy.

குண்டு பட்ட குற்றம் தவிர்த்து என்னை ஆட் கொண்டு
admitting me into his grace, separating me from the fault of having been in the company of low amaṇar.
நல் திறம் காட்டிய கூத்தனை
who is the dancer who showed me the good path.
கண்டனை
who is conspicuous by his neck.
கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென் புத்தூர் அண்டனைக் கண்டு அருவினை அற்றென்(ஏ)
I removed myself from the Karmams from which I cannot release myself by my own efforts, by obtaining vision of the god in beautiful puttūr on the bank of the river, Kaṭuvāy.

பந்த பாசம் அறுத்து எனை ஆட் கொண்ட மைந்தனை
the strong youth who admitted me into his grace by cutting the desires which bind me.
மணவாளனை
who has the form of a bridegroom.
மாமலர்க் கந்த நீர்க் கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென் புத்தூர் எந்தை ஈசனைக் கண்டு இனிது ஆயிற்று
my life became happy on obtaining vision of the Lord of the universe, my father, who is in beautiful puttūr on the bank of Kaṭuvāy which has water fragrant with the big flowers which it brings.

Civaṉ who is above the world of the celestials.
உருத்திர மூர்த்தியை
who has the form of uruṭṭiraṉ
அம்பரானை
who dwells in the shrine in ampar.
அமலனை
who is naturally free from impurities of the soul.
ஆதியை
the source of all things.
கம்பு நீர்க்கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென் புத்தூர் எம் பிரானைக் கண்டு இன்பம் (அது) ஆயிற்று(ஏ)
I felt joy on obtaining vision of my master who is in beautiful puṭṭūr on the bank of the river, Kaṭuvāy in whose water conches are found.

மாசு ஆர் பாச மயக்கு 1. அறுவித்து
having cut off the mental delusion born of attachments which are tainted, through his grace.
எ(ன்)னுள் நேசம் ஆகிய 2. நித்த மணாளனை
Civaṉ who is ever in the form of a bridegroom and who is in the form of love in me.
3. பூச நீர்க்கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென் புத்தூர் ஈசனே என இன்பம்(அது) ஆயிற்று(ஏ)
I felt happy when I said `the Lord of the universe in beautiful puttūr on the bank of the river, Kaṭuvāy which is holy for bathing on the day which has the star pūcam.

இடுவார் இட்ட கவளம் கவர்ந்து
eating with avidity the mouthfuls of food placed in my hands by people who give alms
இரு கடுவாய் இட்டவர் கட்டுரை கேளாதே
without listening to the fabrication of the amaṇar who place in their big mouths gall-nut (இருவாய் கடு இட்டவர்/).
கடுவாய்த் தென் கரைப் புத்தூர் அடிகட்கு ஆட்படவே பெற்று நான் பாக்கியம் செய்தென்(ஏ)
I had the good fortune of becoming the protege of the god in puttūr on the southern bank of river, Kaṭuvāy.

அரக்கன் ஆற்றல் அழித்து
destroying the strength of the arkkaṉ (Irāvaṇaṉ)
அவன் பாடல் கேட்டு இரக்கம் ஆகி
bestowing compassion on him by listening to this music.
அருள் புரி ஈசனை
the Lord of the universe, Civaṉ who granted his grace to him.
திரைக் கொள் நீர்க் கடுவாய்க்கரைத் தென் புத்தூர் இருக்கும் நாதனைக் காணப் பெற்று உய்ந்தென்(ஏ)
I saved myself by obtaining vision of the master in beautiful puttūr on the bank of the river, Kaṭuvāy which has water with waves.
