செந்நெல் ஆர் வயல் சூழ் திருக் கோளிலி மன்னனே
the King in Tirukkōḷili surrounded by field in which red coloured superior variety of paddy grows!
உனை முன்னமே நினையாது ஒழிந்தேன்
I did not at all think of you early in my life.
நான் உனசேவடி இன்னம் ஏத்திலேன்
I did not praise your lotus red feet even now.

the light that is praised and worshipped with joined hands by the celestials in heaven.
மண்ணுளார் வினை தீர்க்கும் மருந்தினை
the cure that removes the acts of the people of this world which are like diseases.
பண் உளார் பயிலும் திருக் கோளிலி அண்ணலார் அடியே தொழுது உய்ம்மின்(ஏ)
(People of this world!) save yourselves by worshipping with joined hands the feet of god in Kōḷili where people of musical knowledge are in great numbers.

1. நாளும் நம்முடை(ய) நாள்கள் அறிகிலோம்
we are incapable of knowing how long we shall live, everyday.
ஆளும் நோய்கள் ஓர் ஐம்பதோடு ஆறு எட்டும் ஏழை மைப்பட்டு இருந்து நீர் நையாது(ஏ)
without yourselves languishing in ignorance when the ninety-eight diseases hold you in their grip
கோளிலி அரன் பாதமே கூறும்(ஏ)
praise the feet of araṉ (Civaṉ), one in Kōḷili.

விழவின் ஓசை ஒலி அறாத் தண் பொழில் பழகினார் வினை தீர்க்கும் பழம் பதி
the old city which removes the sins of those who have become familiar and which has cool gardens and where the bustle of festivals and music do not cease.
அழல் கையான் அமரும் திருக் கோளிலிக் குழகனார் திருப்பாதமே கூறும்(ஏ)
(People of this world!) praise only the holy feet of the youth in tirukkōḷili, who holds fire in his hand.

மூலம் ஆகிய மூவர்க்கும் மூர்த்தியை
the god with a visible form who is the origin of the trinity Piramaṉ, Māl and uruttiraṉ
காலனாகிய காலற்கும் காலனை
who dealt death to the god of death himself who takes away the lives of the beings at the end of the span of their lives.
கோலம் ஆம் பொழில் சூழ் திருக் கோளிலிச் சூலபாணி தன் பாதம் தொழுமின்(ஏ)
worship with joined hands the feet of Civaṉ who holds in his hand a trident and who dwells in tirukkōḷili surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Civaṉ who is in the form of air.
கடல் நஞ்சு அமுது உண்ட வெண் நீற்றனை
who smears himself with white sacred ash and who consumed the poison that appeared in the ocean, as he would do nectar.
நிமிர் புன்சடை அண்ணலை
the god who has an erect and ruddy caṭai.
ஆற்றனை
who bears on his head the river Kaṅkai.
அமரும் திருக் கோளிலி எற்றனார் அடியே தொழுது ஏத்தும்(ஏ)
(People of this world!) praise and worship with joined hand only the feet of the god who has a bull and who dwells in Kōḷili.

the chief of the celesitals in heaven, who is himself the vetams.
ஓதி மன்னுயிர் ஏத்தும் ஒருவனை
the unequalled god whom the imperishable souls praise uttering his names.
கோதி வண்டு அறையும் திருக் கோளிலி வேத நாதன் பாதம் விரும்பும்(ஏ)
(People of this world!) desire the feet of the Lord of the vētams in Kōḷili where in the flowers the bees penetrate for honey and hum noisily.

the chief of those who worship him with joined hands in the right way.
வாதையான விடுக்கும் மணியினை
the gem that gives relief from afflications

Civaṉ who has as a half a lady whose words are as sweet as milk and who could not be seen by Māl and Piramaṉ of four faces.

worship daily fixing your thoughts on Civaṉ who has a blue neck and who is in Kōḷili surrounded by beautiful gardens (People of this world!).

Civaṉ crushed the beautiful ten heads of the arakkaṉ, the King of the people of ilaṅkai, squeezing him.
அவற்கு 1. இரக்கம் ஆகியவன் திருக்கோளிலி அருத்தியாய் அடியே தொழுது உய்ம்மின் (ஏ)
(People of this world!) save yourselves by worshipping his feet themselves with avidity in Kōḷili which is the residence of the god who later took compassion on him. (and granted boons)
