Civaṉ has on his half Umai whose eyes are always coated with collyrium.
மான் மழுத் தொக்க கையினன்
has on his hand a deer and a battle-axe.
செய்யது ஓர் சோதியன்
has red lustre
(1) கொக்கு அமர் பொழில் சூழ்தரு கோளிலி நக்கனைத் தொழ
to worship with joined hands Civaṉ who is naked, in Kōḷili surrounded by gardens in which cranes live.
நம்வினை நாசம்(ஏ)
our acts will be destroyed

முத்தினை
Civaṉ who is as white as pearl
முதல் ஆகிய மூர்த்தியை
who has a visible form which is the cause of all things.
வித்தினை
who is the seed.
விளைவு ஆகிய விகிர்தனை
who is different from the world and who is also the yield of that seed.
கொத்து அலர் பொழில் சூழ்தரு கோளிலி அத்தனைத் தொழ
to worship with joined hands the father in Kōḷili surrounded by gardens where the bunches of flowers unfold their petals.
நம் அல்லல் நீங்கும் (ஏ)
our troubles will leave us of their own accord.

வெண் திரைப் பரவை விடம் உண்டது ஓர் கண்டனை
Civaṉ who has a neck which consumed the poison that appeared in the ocean of milk which has white waves.
கலந்தார்தமக்கு அன்பனை
who loves devotees who are united with him in their minds.
கொண்டல் அம் பொழில் கோளிலி மேவிய அண்டனைத் தொழுவார்க்கு அல்லல் இல்லை(ஏ)
there will be no sufferings to those who worship with joined hands the god who is in Kōḷili which has gardens on which clouds stay.

{$} பலவும் வல்வினை பாறும் பரிசினால்
by the manner in which many irresistible acts are to be destroyed.
உலவும் கங்கையும் திங்களும் ஒண்சடை குலவினான் குளிரும் பொழில் கோளிலி நிலவினான்தனை நித்தல் நினைமின்(ஏ)
People of this world! think daily of Civaṉ who is permanent in Kōḷili of cool garden and on whose bright catai, moving Kaṅkai and the crescent remain.

அல்லல் ஆயின தீரும்
what are called sufferings will come to an end.
அழகிய முல்லை வெண் முறுவல்(ல்) உமை அஞ்சவே கொல்லை யானை உரித்தவன்
Civaṉ who flayed an elephant which lives in the forest to make Umai who has beautiful white teeth like the flowers of the arabian jasmine, fear;

கோளிலிச் செல்வன் சேவடி சென்று தொழுமின்(ஏ)
worship with joined hands the lotus red feet of the god in Kōḷili, going to that shrine.

ஆவின் பால் கண்டு
having tasted cow's milk. (The cow is Kamatēṉu, the divine cow)
அளவு இல் 1. அருந்தவப்பாலன் வேண்டலும்
when upamaṉyu, the boy who has countless severe penance to his credit, wanted milk.
செல்' என்று பாற்கடல் கூவினான்
Civaṉ summoned the ocean of milk and ordered it `go to him'
குளிரும் பொழிற் கோளிலி மேவினானைத் தொழ வினை வீடும்(ஏ)
our acts will perish when we worship with joined hands Civaṉ who dwells in Kōḷili which has cool gardens.

சீர்த்த நன் மனையாளும் சிறுவரும் ஆர்த்த சுற்றமும் பற்று இலை;
the excellent and good-natured wife, children and relations bound by several kinds of ties, are not our support.
ஆதலால்
therefore
கூத்தனார் உறையும் திருக் கோளிலி ஏத்தி நீர் தொழுமின்
(People of this world!) You praise and worship with joined hands tirukkōḷili where the dancing Civaṉ dwells.
இடர் 1. தீரும்(ஏ)
all your sufferings will leave you.

மால் (அது) ஆகி மயங்கும் மனிதர்காள்
people who are confused and bewildered!
காலம் வந்து கடை முடியாமுனம்
before the end comes and finishes your span of life.
கோலவார் பொழில் கோளிலி மேவிய நீலகண்டனை நின்ற நினைமின் (ஏ)
(People of this world!) think of Civaṉ with a blue neck who dwells in Kōḷili which has long and beautiful gardens, without ceasing.

கேடு மூடிக் கிடந்து உண்ணும் நாடு (அது) தேடி, நீர் திரியாது
without wandering going in search of the country which is full of misery and undergoing sufferings only incapable of doing anythin to avert them.
சிவ கதி கூடலாம்
you can attain eternal bliss.
திருக்கோளிலி ஈசனைப் பாடுமின் இரவோடு பகலும்(ஏ)
(People of this world!) sing the praises of Civaṉ in tirukkōḷili night and day (that is the way to attain it)

மடுத்து மாமலை ஏந்தலுற்றான் தனை அடர்த்து
pressing Irāvaṇaṉ who lifted the great mountain by placing his hands under it
பின்னும் இரங்கி அவற்கு அருள் கொடுத்தவன்(ன்) உறை கோளிலியே தொழ
to worship with joined hands Kōḷili only where Civaṉ granted his grace to him taking pity on him.
மேலை வினைகள்(ஏ) விடுத்து நீங்கிடும்
the acts done in previous births will go away taking leave of the devotees.
