பூமேலானும் பூமகள் கேள்வனும், நாமே தேவர் எனாமை நடுக்குறத் தீ மேவும் உருவா
Lord who assumed the form of fire to make Piramaṉ who is seated on a flower and Māl, the husband of the goddess of wealth who is seated on a lotus flower, to tremble with fear and not to think that we alone are the supreme celestials.

அடியோங்கள் அல்லற் பட ஆமோ
should we, who are your devotees, undergo sufferings?

அருந்திறல் அமரர் அயன் மாலொடு திருந்த நின்று வழிபட
the immortal who have extraordinary valour, Ayaṉ and Māl to worship standing to be disciplined.
தேவியோடு இருந்தவன் எழில் ஆர் கச்சி ஏகம்பம் பொருந்தச் சென்று புடைபட்டு எழுதுமே
we shall approach and go to Ēkampam in Kacci full of beauty belonging to Civaṉ who remained there with his consort, suitably.

கறை கொள் கண்டத்து எண் தோள் இறை முக்கணன்
Civaṉ who has eight shoulders, a black neck, and three eyes
மறை கொள் நாவினன்
chants the vetams in his mouth.
வானவர்க்கு அதியான் உறையும் பூம் பொழில் சூழ் கச்சி ஏகம்பம் முறைமையால் சென்று முந்தித் தொழுதுமே
we shall worship with joined hands early in life ēkampam in Kacci surrounded by flower-gardens, where the cause of the celestials dwells.

பொறிப் புலன்களைப் போக்கு அறுத்து
rooting out the organs of sense going in their senses unbridled.
உள்ளத்தை நெறிப்படுத்து
directing the mind in the proper way.
நினைந்தவர் சிந்தையுள் அறிப்புறும் அமுதாயவன் ஏகம்பம் குறிப்பினால் சென்று கூடித் தொழுதுமே
we shall worship with joined hands prompted by god's intention and joining with devotees, ēkampam going there, which belongs to Civaṉ who is the nectar in the minds of those who meditate on him with comprehension.

சிந்தையுள் சிவமாய் நின்ற செம்மையோடு
along the uprightness remaining in the mind as civam.
அந்தியாய் அனலாய், புனல் வானமாய்
being the twilight joining the day with night, the fire, the water, and the sky.
புந்தியாய்ப் புகுந்து உள்ளம் நிறைந்த எம் தந்தை ஏகம்பம் ஏத்தித் தொழுமினே
(People of this world!) worship with joined hands and praise ēkampam of our father who pervades the mind entering it as the intellect

சாக்கியத்தொடு மற்றும் சமண்படும் பாக்கியம் இலார் பாடு செலாது
without going near those who have embraced buddhism and camaṇar and who have no good fortune.
உறப் பூககொள் சேவடியான் கச்சி ஏகம்பம் நாக்கொடு ஏத்தி நயந்து தொழுதுமே
we shall worship joining our hands, with desire, praising with our tongue ēkampam in Kacci of Civaṉ who has red feet which have abundant flowers placed on them.

முனிவு உறுத்து மூப்பினோடு எம்தமை 1. ஆர்ப்பதன் முன்
before increasing aversion and old age binds us.
அணி அமரர்க்கு இறை காப்பு (அது) ஆய கடி பொழில் ஏகம்பம் சேர்ப்பது ஆக நாம் சென்று அடைந்து உய்துமே
we shall save ourselves reaching and going to ēkampam as the place of our destination, which has fragrant gardens and which is the place of special protection of the Lord of the immortals who stand in a row.

நெஞ்சமே
my mind!
ஆலும் மா மயில் சாயல் நல்லாரொடும் சால நீ உறும் மால் தவிர்
give up the desire which you feel very much towards ladies who have gracefulness like the great dancing peacock.
நீலம் மாமிடற்று அண்ணல் ஏகம்பனார் கோலம் மாமலர்ப் பாதமே கும்பிட
pay obeisance with joined hands to the beautiful feet of the deity of ēkampaṉar who has a great blue neck.

பொய் அனைத்தையும் விட்டவர் புந்தியுள் மெய்யனை
the Lord who is the truth in the minds of those who have given up all false-hood.
சுடர் வெண்மழு ஏந்திய கையனை
who holds in his hand a burning white battle-axe.
கச்சி ஏகம்பம் மேவிய ஐயனைத் தொழுவார்க்கு அல்லல் இல்லையே
there will be definitely no afflictions to those who worship with hands joined! the master who dwells in ēkampam in Kacci.

அரக்கன் தன் வலி உன்னிக் கயிலையை நெருக்கிச் சென்று எடுத்தான் முடி தோள் நெரித்து
crushing the shoulders and head of the arakkaṉ who thought of his own strength and lifted going towards Kayilai, attacking it.
இரக்க இன்னிசை கேட்டவன் ஏகம்பம் தருக்கு (அது) ஆக நாம் சார்ந்து தொழுதுமே
we shall worship with hands joined with zeal ēkampam of the Lord who listened to his sweet music (and granted boons), drawing near that shrine.
