மாமாத்து ஆகிய மால் அயன், மால்கொடு தாமாத்தேடியும் தாள்முடி காண்கிலர்
Māl and Ayaṉ who were great arrogant gods could not find out the feet and head by their own efforts without the grace of Civaṉ.
ஆமாத்தூர் அரனே!(1) அருளாய் என்று என்று ஏமாப்பு எய்திக் கண்டார் இறையானையே
they saw Civaṉ saying many times: Araṉ in Āmāttūr! grant us your grace filled with excessive joy.

சந்தியானை
Civaṉ who is worshipped in the mornings and evenings.
சமாதி செய்வார் தங்கள் புந்தியானை
who dwells in the minds of those who follow the path of yōkam.
புத்தேளிர் தொழப்படும் அந்தியானை
who has the colour of the evening sky and is worshipped by the celestials.
ஆமாத்தூர் அழகனை
and who is the beautiful god in āmāttūr.
சிந்தியாதவர் தீவினையாளரே
those who do not think of him are definitely evil persons.
(அழகன் is the name of Civaṉ in this shrine)

காமாத்தம் என்னும் கார்வலைப்பட்டு
being caught in the evil net of love and wealth.
நான் போம் ஆத்தை அறியாது புலம்புவேன்
I would wait not knowing the path which I should follow.
ஆமாத்தூர் அரனே என்று அழைத்தலும்
when I invoke him by calling by name araṉ in āmāttūr.
தேமாத்தீங்கனிபோலத் தித்திக்குமே
he is as sweet as the sweet fruit of the extremely sweet mango tree.

பஞ்சபூதவலையில் படுவதற்கு அஞ்சி
being afraid of being caught in the net of the five elements.
நானும்
myself who is unworthy.
ஆமாத்தூர் அழகனை நெஞ்சினால் நினைந்தேன்
I thought of the beautiful god in āmāttūr in my heart.
நினைவு எய்தலும்
when I thought of him.
வஞ்ச ஆறுகள் வற்றின
the rivers which have the floods of deceit dried up.
காண்மின் (ஏ)
(people of this world!) who know this.

Civaṉ who has the lady whose tresses of hair are adorned with flowers of the bottle flower tree.
அராமன்னும் சடையான்
who has on his caṭai cobras staying permanently.
திருஆமாத்தூர் இராமனும் வழிபாடு செய் ஈசனை
Civaṉ in āmāttūr whom Irāmaṉ himself worshipped.
நிராமயன்தனை நாளும் (1) நினைமினே
(People of this world!) Fix your thoughts on the god who is without diseases.

Civaṉ who has the name pittaṉ.
பெருந்தேவர் தொழப்படும் அத்தனை
who is the father worshipped by eminent celestials.
அணி ஆமாத்தூர் மேவிய முத்தினை
who is the pearl dwelling in beautiful āmāttūr.
அடியேன் உள் முயறலும்
when I, his slave, tried to meditate on him.
பத்திவெள்ளம் பரந்தது
the flood of devotion spread everywhere.
கண்மின் (ஏ)
(People of this world) you know this.

நீற்றின் ஆர் திருமேனியன்
Civaṉ has a holy body smeared thickly with sacred ash.
நேரிழை கூற்றினான்
has one half a lady adorned with jewels suited to her beauty.
குழற் கோலச் சடையில் ஓர் ஆற்றினான்
has on his beautiful curly caṭai a river.
அணி ஆமாத்தூர் மேவிய ஏற்றினான்
who has a bull and who dwells with desire in beautiful Āmāttūr.

is the Lord of the universe who has us as his slave.

பண்ணிற்பாடல்கள் பத்திசெய் வித்தகர்க்கு அண்ணித்து ஆகும் அமுதினை
Civaṉ who is the nectar that tastes sweet to those skilled persons who have devotion by singing songs with melody-types.
ஆமாத்தூர் சண்ணிப்பானை
who dwells in āmāttūr.
தமர்க்கு அணித்து ஆயதுஓர் கண்ணிற் பாவை அன்னான அவன் காண்மின் (ஏ)
(People of this world!) you know that he is as precious as the pupil of the eye and is near at hand to his devotees;

the master who accepted me to be saved separating me from the company of the strong persons who have no good characters and are low persons who hold in their hands bundle of peacock feathers.
குளிர்புனல் வீரட்டலத்து அண்டனார் இடம்
the place of the god who is the first cause of the world and who is in atikai vīraṭṭam of cool water (Though there are eight viraṭṭams in the one uppermost in the mind of tirunavukkaracar is atikai vīraṭṭam where he was cured of his disease)
ஆமாத்தூர் காண்மினே
(People of this world!) is āmāttūr (you know this)

வானம் சாடும் மதி அரவத்தொடு தான் அஞ்சாது உடன் வைத்த சடையிடைத் தேன் அஞ்சு ஆடிய தெங்கு இளநீரொடும் ஆன் அஞ்சு ஆடிய ஆமாத்தூர் ஐயனே
the master in āmāttūr is the god who bathed in the five products of the cow along with the tender cocoanut milk on his caṭai in which he placed the crescent which dispels darkness shining in the sky, without fear of the cobra, and which bathed in the mixture of five deliciouss substances; the foremost among them being honey.

விலங்கல் (ல்) எடுத்தான் முடி அடர ஓர் விரல் ஊன்றிய ஆமாத்தூர் இடம் (அது) ஆ(க)க் கொண்ட ஈசனுக்கு என் உளம் இடம் (அது) ஆகக் கொண்டு இன்புற்றிருப்பேனே
I am enjoying happiness having set apart my heart as the place to Civaṉ who has Āmāttūr as his shrine and who fixed firmly single toe to press down the heads of the arakkaṉ who lifted the mountain.
