முத்தினைப் பவளத்தை முளைத்த எம் தொத்தினை
Civaṉ who is the pearl, the coral and our bunch of flowers that sprout out.
சுடரை
the bright light.
சுடர் போல் ஒளிப் 1. பித்தனை
who has abundant love towards his devotees and whose brilliance is like the sun.
கொலும் நஞ்சினை
who is the poison that kills.
வானவர் நித்தனை
the god without death among the tēvar.
நெரு நற்கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
veṇṇi is in the place where I obtained a vision of him yesterday.

வெண்ணித் தொல் நகர் மேவிய திங்களார்
Civaṉ who wears crescent and who dwells in the ancient city of veṇṇi
கண்ணித் தொத்த சடையர்
who has a caṭai on which there is a bundle of chaplets of koṉṟai.
காபாலியார்
who holds a skull in the hand.
எண்ணித் தம்மை நினைந்திருந்தேனுக்கு என் நாவுக்கு அண்ணித்திட்டு அமுது ஊறும்
he will flow as sweet as nectar in my tongue tasting sweet, as I was always thinking of him and meditating on him. (நாவுக்கு-நாவில்)

கதிர் மா மணி நீற்றினை
who smeared his body with sacred ash like the big diamond which emits rays.
நினைப்பார் வினை நீக்கிடும், கூற்றினை உதைத்திட்ட குணம் உடை(ய) வீற்றினை
the diverse thing that kicked the god of death and who removes the acts of those who think of him.
நெருநற்கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
veṇṇi which is the place where I obtained vision of Civaṉ yesterday.

who chants the eminent four vetam.

who has the mountain, Kayilai, which is shining like the sun.
கடிமாமதில் மூன்று எய்த வில்லனை நெருநற் கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
veṇṇi is the place where I obtained vision of Civaṉ who destroyed with his bow the three great and well-guarded forts, yesterday.

who is like the nectar and who placed on his head petals of flowers and other things.
படரும் செஞ்சடைப் பால் மதி சூடியை
who wears on his spreading red catai a crescent as white as milk.
இடரை நீக்கியை யான் கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
I obtained vision of Civaṉ who removes sufferings, in veṇṇai.

பூம்புகலூரனை
who is in beautiful pukalūr.
தாது எனத் தவழும் மதி சூடியை
who wears on his head a crescent which moves slowly and is like the pollen in colour.
நாதனை
who is the master.
நல்ல நான்மறை ஓதியை
who chants the four vetams containing good things.
வேதனை நெரு நற்கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
I obtained vision of Civaṉ who is the meaning of the vetams, yesterday in veṇṇi.

ஒருத்தியை ஒரு பாகத்து அடக்கியும்
having constrained one lady in one half.
புரிபுன்சடை பொருத்தி புனிதனை
the pure Civaṉ who fixed another lady (Kaṅkai) on his twisted ruddy caṭai.
கருத்தனை
who dwells in my mind.
கறைக் கண்டனை
who has a black neck.
கண்ணுதல் நிருத்தனை
who is the dancer and who has a frontal eye.
நெருநற் கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
I obtained vision of him yesterday in veṇṇi.

Civaṉ who has a caṭai
சரி கோவண ஆடை கொண்டு உடையனை
who has a dress of men's loin-cloth which slides down.
உணர்வார் வினை தீர்த்திடும் படையனை மழுவாளொடு
who has a battle-axe in addition to other weapons and who removes the acts of those who realize him in themselves.
பாய் தரும் விடையனை
who has a galloping bull
நெரு நற் கண்ட வெண்ணி(ஏ)
I had obtained vision of him yesterday in vaṇṇi.

Civaṉ who has as his abode, the mountain Kayilai.
புனலாளொடு புன்சடை அரும்பு அனை(ய) இளந்திங்கள் அம் கண்ணியான்
who wears as a chaplet a crescent which is like a bud along with Kaṅkai who is in the form of water, on his ruddy caṭai

பருப்பதம் பரவித் தொழும் தொண்டர்கள் விருப்பினை
who loves the devotees who praise and worship him with joined hands in paruppatam (Kayilai or Sricailam)

I obtained vision of him yesterday in veṇṇi.

வஞ்சனை 1. சூலவல்ல எம் சுந்தரன்
our beautiful god who can scoop out the treachery of those who practise it
கோலமா அருள் செய்தது ஒர் கொள்கையான்
has the principle of bestowing his grace showing his beautiful form.
காலன் அஞ்ச உதைத்து
kicking the god of death to become frightened.
இருள் கண்டம் ஆம் வேலை நஞ்சனைக் கண்டது வெண்ணி(ஏ)
I obtained vision of the god who has a black neck by consuming the poison that rose in the ocean, yesterday in veṇṇi.

இலையின் ஆர் கொன்றை சூடிய ஈசனார்
the Lord of the universe, civan, who wears on his head koṉṟai flowers along with leaves.
மலையினால் அரக்கன் திறல் வாட்டினார்
destroyed valour of the arakkaṉ by a mountain.
சிலையினால் மதில் எய்தவன்
who destroyed the forts by a bow.
வெண்ணியைத் தலையினால் தொழுவார் வினை தாவும் (ஏ)
the acts of those who bow their heads in worshipping veṇṇi, will disappear.
