{$} பேரெயிலாளர் (ஏ)
Civaṉ in Pēreyil
மறையும் ஓதுவர்
chants the vētams
மான் மறிக்கையினர்
holds in his hand a young deer.
[[வேதமான்மறிஏந்துதல் மற்றதன், நாதன் நான் என நவிற்றும் ஆறே

கறைகொள் கண்டம் உடைய கபாலியார்
he holds in his hands a skull, thereby deriving the name, Kapāli, and has a neck in which there is poison.
துறையும் போகுவர்
is well versed in all the branches of knowledge naturally
(He is omniscient)
தூயவெண்ணீற்றினர்
smears himself with spotless white sacred ash.
பிறையும் சூடுவர்
will wear a crescent.

Civaṉ in pēreyil
கணக்கு இலாரையும் கற்றுவல்லாரையும் வணக்கிலா நெறிகண்டுகொண்டாரையும் தணக்குவார்
keeps aloof from people who have no learning, those who are learned and proud on account of that, and those who are obstinate in not bowing before god which act is unrighteous.

எப்பொருளையும் தணிப்பார்
will withdraw into himself all things

மழைசொரிவிப்பார்
will cause clouds to rain
சூழ்கதிர்த்திங்களை விரிவிப்பார்
will cause the moon with rays surrounding it to shed light
வெயிற்பட்டவிளங்கு ஒளி எரிவிப்பார்
will cause the sun which has sunlight to give light to the world in the day.
தணிப்பார் எப்பொருளையும்
will control within limits the strength of all things
பிரிவிப்பார் (அவர்)
will separate things which are united

Civaṉ in Pēreyil.
செறுவிப்பார், சிலையால் மதில்
will cause the forts to be destroyed by a bow.
தீர்த்தங்கள் உறுவிப்பார்
will save people by creating many holy water resources.
பலபத்தர்கள் (1) ஊழ்வினை அறுவிப்பார்
will cut at the root of fate of many pious souls.
அது அன்றியும்
in addition to that
நல்வினை பெறுவிப்பார் (அவர்)
will cause to receive the benefits of good acts.

மற்றையார் அறியார்
could not be comprehended by others than true devotees.
மழுவாளினார்
He has a battle-axe in his hand
பற்றி ஆட்டி ஓர் ஐந்தலைப்பாம்பு அரைச் சுற்றியார் (அவர்)
he has would round his waist a cobra of five heads making it dance by catching hold of it in his hand.
தூநெறியால் மிகு பெற்றியார் (அவர்)
has great nature by his blemishless path to salvation.

Civaṉ in pēreyil
திருக்குவார் குழல் செல்வன் சேவடிதனை இருக்குவாய் மொழியால் ஏத்துவார் துயர் சுருக்குவார்
reducing the sufferings of those who praise the lotus red feet of Civaṉ who has Umai who has a twisted and braided long tresses of hair as one half, with the help of the truthful words of the vētams.
தோற்றங்கள் (1) ஆற்றறப் பெருக்குவார் (அவர்)
having destroyed the strength of the appearance of those sufferings he will increase the virtuous acts and admit them into his grace.

முன்னையார்
he is older than the oldest things.
மயில் ஊர்தி முருகவேள் தன் ஐயார்
is the father of murukavēḷ who has the vehicle of a peacock.
தான் ஓர் தலைமகன்
he is a chief without equal
என்னை ஆளும் இறையவன்
is the Lord who has me as his protege.
எம்பிரான்
is my master.
பின்னையார் (அவர்)
is newer than all new thing

உழைத்தும்
working hard by doing manual labour and service to him.
துள்ளியும்
dancing out of ..cstasy
உள்ளத்துள்ளே உரு இழைத்தும்
and drawing his form as a picture in the mind.
எந்தைபிரான் என்று
thinking of him as our father and master.
இராப்பகல் அழைக்கும் அன்பினராய அடியவர் பிழைப்பை நீக்குவர்
will remove the faults of the devotees who bestow their love on him and Utter a loud cry night and day.

நீர் உலாம் நிமிர் புன்சடையா எனா ஏர் உலாவு (1) அநங்கன்திறல் வாட்டிய (பேர்)
who destroyed the valour of anaṅkaṉ (cupid) who is very beautiful and who did not praise him as god who has an erect, ruddy caṭai in which water is moving'
வார்உலா வனமென்முலையாளொடும் பேர் உளார் (அவர்)
has a name by being united with a lady who has beautiful, and soft, breasts in which a bodice in worn, which means, arttanaricvaravar' (half female half male) (if அநங்கனைவாட்டிய பேர் is the syntactical link this name will be the enemy of Kāmaṉ (cupid))

Civaṉ in pēreyil
பாணி ஆர் படுதம் பெயர்ந்து ஆடுவர்
will perform a dance, called paṭutam' in varying styles appropriate to the measure of time.
தூணியார் விசயற்கு அருள் செய்தவர்
granted Vicayaṉ a weapon pācupatam assuming the form of a hunter carrying a quiver on his back.
மாணியாய் மண் அளந்தவன் நான்முகள் பேணியார் (அவர்)
was highly esteemed by Māl who measured the earth assuming the form of a bachelor, and Piramaṉ of four faces.

{$} மதத்தவாள் அரக்கன் மணிப்புட்பகம் சிதைக்கவே
when the beautiful putpakam, (the vehicle) of the proud arakkaṉ who had a sword was obstructed from flying over Kayilai
திருமாமலைக்கீழ்ப்புக்கு
getting under the great and holy mountain.
பதைத்து அங்கு ஆர்/த்து எடுத்தான் பத்து நீள்முடி பிதக்க ஊன்றிய பேரெயிலாளர் (ஏ)
Civaṉ in pēreyil pressed his toe tightly to crush the ten tall crowns of iravaṇaṉ who lifted the mountain, roaring as he was feeling intense pain (on account of that act)
