Civaṉ has a balt of a cobra
கறை அணி மிடறர் (போலும்)
has a neck beautified by the poison.
பிச்சை கொண்டு உண்பர் (போலும்)
will eat receiving alms
பேர் அருளாளர்
has grace in a very large measure.
இச்சையால் மலர்கள் தூவி இரவொடு பகலும் தம்மை நச்சுவார்க்கு இனியர் (போலும்) நாகவீச்சரவனாரே
Nākā Īccaravaṉār is sweet to those who cherish him with love scattering flowers (at his feet) night and day, with sincere piety. (போசம் in `Him' and the following verses are expletives)

Civaṉ becoming hunter assuming the form of a hunter.
விசயனோடு எய்தார் (போலும்)
discharging arrows fighting with Vicayaṉ.
காடு உறு பதியர் (போலும்)
has as his place the cremation ground.
கடி புனல் கங்கை நங்கை சேடு எறி சடையர் (போலும்)
has a caṭai which radiates beauty and has the Kaṅkai, in the form of a lady, which has swift flowing water.
தீவினை தீர்க்கவல்ல நாடு அறி புகழர் நாகவீச்சரவனார் (போலும்)
nākaiccaravanar has a fame well-known throught the country as one who is capable of removing sins.

with the help of a mountain improvised into a bow.
கடி அரண் செற்றார் (போலும்)
destroyed the well-guarded forts
பொன் துணைப் பாதர் (போலும்)
has two feet as valuable as gold.
புலி அதள் உடையர் (போலும்)
has a dress of a tiger's skin.
சொல்துணை மாலை கொண்டு தொழுது எழுவார்கட்கு எல்லாம்
to all those who worship him and then rise from sleep, with garlands of verses.
நல்துணை ஆவர் (போலும்) நாக ஈச்சரவனாரே

Civaṉ has on one half a lady as slender and supple as the twig of a plant.

செம்பொன் ஆர் உருவர் (போலும்)
has a body as bright as pure gold.
திகழ் திரு நீற்றர் (போலும்)
smears brightly with the holy ash
எம்பிரான் என்னை ஆளும் இறைவனே என்று தம்மை நம்பு வார்க்கு அன்பர் (போலும்) நாகவீச்சரவனார்
Civaṉ in nāka viccaram is the friend to those who cherish him with love as `our master and god who admits us as his protege'

many pūtams join together and play on kutamuḻāvam in a high pitch.
கூளிகள் பாட நாளும் நடம் நவில் அடிகள் (போலும்) நாகவீச்சரவனாரே
Civaṉ in nākavīccaran is the god who dances without stopping daily, when the pēys sing.

the immortals joining according to their ranks with Māl and Piramaṉ, without break.
முடிகளால் வணங்கா நின்ற நறவு அமர் கழலர் நாகவீச்சரவனாரே (போலும்)
nāka iccaravaṉār has feet on which there are flowers with honey, before which they bow their heads, and worship them.

is easily accessible to people who come near him.

will tread upon the god of death to kill him.

is the pure person who embraces the breasts of mōṭi (turkkai) which gives pleasure;
