{$} உமையவள் பங்கா
Civaṉ who has Umayavāḷ on one half.
மிக்க சோதியே
very bright diving light!
(1) துளங்கும் எண் தோள் சுடர் மழுப்படையினானே
who has eight shoulders and a battle-axe of luminous brightness!
ஆதியே
the cause of all things!
அமரர் கோவே
the Lord of the immortals!
அணி அணாமலை உளானே
who is in aṇṇamalai!
ஓதி மாமலர்கள் தூவி நீதியால் நின்னை அல்லால் நினையுமா(று) நினைவிலேனே
I have no other thought except thinking of you by right counduct uttering your names and scattering big flowers

ஓதல் is the act of speech;
மலர்தூவுதல் is the act of the body.]]
[[Note: there is one separate shrine by name அணி அண்ணாமலை when one goes round the big hill aṇṇāmalai; perhaps this decade is about that shrine.]]

{$} பண் தனை வென்ற இன்சொல் பாவை ஓர் பாங்கா
Civaṉ who has a beautiful lady whose words are sweeter than melody-types!
நீலகண்டனே
who has a blue neck!
கார்கொள் கொன்றைக் கடவுளே
god who wears koṉṟai flowers which blossom in rainy season.
கமலபாதா
who has lotus-red feet!
அண்டனே
Lord of the universe!
அமரர் கோவே
the King of the immortals!
அணி அணாமலையுளானே
see 1st verse.
தொண்டனேன்
I who am your devotee.
உன்னை அல்லால் சொல்லுமா சொல் இலேன் (ஏ)
I find no other word except speaking about your greatness.

{$} உருவமும் உயிருமாகி
being the bodies and the life within them.
ஓதிய உலகுக்கு எல்லாம்
for all the beings mentioned in works about this world.
(1) பெருவினை-பிறப்பு வீடு ஆய் நின்ற எம்பெருமான்
our Lord who remained as the original acts, birth and salvation.
மிக்க அருவி பொன் சொரியும் அண்ணாமலை உளாய்
who is in aṇṇāmalai where the many streams pour out gold!
அண்டர்கோவே
the ruler of the celestials!
நின்பாதம் மருவி அல்லால் மற்று ஒரு மாடுஇலேனே
I have no other wealth except approaching your feet.

{$} பைம்பொனே
fine gold!
பவளக்குன்றே
a hill created by coral!
பரமனே
the supreme being!
பால்வெண்ணீறா
one who smears with sacred ash which is as white as milk.
செம்பொனே
superior gold.
மலர்செய்பாதா
one who has lotus-red feet!
சீர்தமணியே
heavy gem!
மிக்க அம்பொனே கொழித்து வீழும் அணி அணாமலைஉளானே
one who is aṇṇāmalai where the beautiful gold falls being sifted.
என் பொனே
my gold!
உன்னை அல்லால் ஏதும் நினைவு இலேனே
I have no other thing in my thoughts except you.

{$} பிறை அணி முடியினானே
Civaṉ who wears a crescent on the head!
பிஞ்ஞகா
who adorns his head on it a peacocks feather!(Destroyer of all things!)
பெண் ஓர் பாகா
who has a lady on one half.
மறைவலாய்
who revealed the vētams! (who is well versed in the vētams!)
இறைவா who pervades everything and every where!
வண்டு ஆர் கொன்றையாய்
who wears koṉṟai flowers on which the bees hum loudly.
வாமதேவா
who has the name of vāmatēvaṉ!
அறைகழல் அமரர் ஏத்தும் அணி அணாமலையுளானே
the god in aṇṇāmalai who is praised by the importals wearing sounding Kaḻal.
இறைவனே
the master!
உன்னை அல்லால் யாதும் நான் நினைவிலேன் (ஏ)
I have no other thing in my thoughts except you.

{$} புரிசடைமுடியின் மேல் ஓர் பொருபுனல் கங்கைவைத்து
placing the river Kaṅkai which is in the form of water dashing on the twisted caṭai coiled into a crown!
கரிஉரி போர்வையாகக் கருதிய காலகாலா
the Lord who dealt death to the god of death and who wished as the covering for the body the skin of an elephant!
அரிகுலம் மலிந்த அண்ணாமலை உளாய்
who is in aṇṇamalai where there is a large number of herds of lions!
வரிமிகு வண்டு பண் செய் அலரின் மிக்கபாதம் நான் மறப்பிலேனே
I shall not forget the feet which are superior to the lotus flower on which the bees with many lines hum like music.

{$} இரவியும் மதியும் விண்ணும்
the sun, moon and the sky in which they shine.
இருநிலம்புனலும் காற்றும்
the wide world, the water and the air.
உரகம் ஆர் பவனம் (1) எட்டும்
the eight worlds that are supported by āticētaṉ.
திசை ஒளி உருவம் ஆனாய்
you are the form of the eight direction and the fire.
அரவு உமிழ் மணி கொள் சோதி அணிஅணாமலை உளானே
who is in aṇi aṇāmalai which is lit by the light of the jewel that is spat by cobras.
பரம
the supreme god!
பரவும் நின்பாதம் அல்லால் நான் பற்று இலேனே
I have no other support except your feet praised by all.

{$} பார்த்தனுக்கு அன்று நல்கி
showing deep love to pārttaṉ (aruccuṉaṉ)
பாசுபதத்தை ஈந்தாய்
you gave him pācupatam, a weapon.
நீர்த்தும்பு உலாவு கங்கை நெடுமுடி நிலாவ வைத்தாய்
you placed Kaṅkai which over flows and is moving to and fro to stay on your tall head.
ஆர்த்து வந்து ஈண்டு கொண்டல் அணி அணாமலை உளானே
God who is in aṇi aṇāmalai which has clouds which collect together coming with thunders.
தீர்த்தனே
holy god!
நின்தன் பாதத்திறம் அலால் திறம் இலேனே
I do not know any other ways except the way chalked out by you.

{$} பாலும் நெய்(உம்) முதலாமிக்க பசுவில் ஐந்து ஆடுவானே
God who bathes in the five products of the cow abundantly beginning with milk and ghee!
மாலும் நான்முகனும் கூடிக்காண்கிலா வகையுள் நின்றாய்
you remained in a manner which both Māl and Piramaṉ of four faces were not able to see.
ஆலும் நீர், கொண்டல், பூகம் அணி அணாமலைஉளானே
God who is in aṇi aṇāmalai which has sounding water, clouds and areca-palms.
வால்உடைவிடையாய்
who has a white bull;
வால்
white colour
[[ஊர்திவால் வெள்ளேறே (puṟam, 1-3)]]
உன் தன் மலரடி மறப்பு இலேனே
I never forget your lotus-red feet.

{$} இரக்கம் யாது ஒன்றும் இல்லாக்(1) காலனைக் கடிந்த எம்மான்
our Lord who destroyed the god of death who did not have even a little of pity.
உரத்தினால் வரையை ஊக்க ஒருவிரல் நுதியினாலே அரக்கனை நெரித்த அண்ணாமலை உளாய்
God who is in aṇṇāmalai and who crushed the arakkaṉ by the tip of a single toe when he lifted the mountain with his strength by making an effort
அமரர் ஏறே
the eminent one among the celestials!
சிரத்தினால் வணங்கி ஏத்தித் திருவடி மறப்பு இலேனே
I shall never forget your holy feet by bowing down my head and praising them.
