நெற்றிமேல் கண்ணினானே
one who has a frontal eye!
நீறு மெய் பூசினானே
one who besmeared [his] form with the holy ash
கற்றைப் புன் சடையினானே
one who has a collection of golden caṭai
கடல் விடம் பருகினானே
one who drank the poison that rose in the sea
செற்றவர் புரங்கள்மூன்றும் செவ்வழல் செலுத்தினானே
one who set fire to all the three cities of enemies
குற்றம் இல் குணத்தினானே
one who has only good qualities without faults
கோடிகா உடைய கோவே
the king of kōtikā!

கடி கமழ் கொன்றையானே
one who adorns himself with fragrant koṉṟai flowers
கபாலம் கை ஏந்தினானே
one who holds a skull in his hand
வடிவுடை மங்கை தன்னை மார்பில் ஓர் பாகத்தானே
one who has the beautiful lady of distinction in a part of his chest;

அடி இணை பரவ நாளும் அடியவர்க்கு அருள் செய்வானே
one who grants his grace daily to devotees who praise his feet.
கொடி அணி விழவு (அது) ஓவாக் கோடிகா உடைய கோவே
the king of kōṭikā where festivals with the hoisting of flags never cease!

நிழல் திகழ் மழுவினானே
one who has a battle-axe which sheds light
ஏறு உகந்து ஏறினானே
-one who rode on a bull desiring it
இருங்கடல் அமுது ஒப்பானே
one who is comparable to the nectar that was chured and got from the big ocean of milk.
ஆறும் ஓர் நான்கு வேதம் அறம் உரைத்தருளினானே
one who gave moralinstruction, the four vetams and six aṇkams
கூறும் ஓர் பெண்ணினானே
one who has on his half a lady
கோடி கா உடைய கோவே
the king of kōṭikā!

காலனைக் காலால் செற்று அன்று அருள்புரி கருணையானே
one who kicked the god of death to die in the distant past and bestowed his grace on mārkantēyaṉ, and who has compassion in abundance
நீலம் ஆர் கண்டத்தானே
one who has a blue-neck
நீள் முடி அமரர் கோவே
the king of the immortals who wear a long crown
ஞாலம் ஆம் பெருமையானே
one who has the greatness of pervading the whole earth
நளிர் இளந்திங்கள் சூடும் கோலம் ஆர் சடையினானே
one who has a beautiful caṭai on which he wears a cool and young crescent
கோடி கா உடைய கோவே
king of kōṭika!

{$} பூண் அரவு ஆரத்தானே
one who wears a cobra in the form of a garland
புலியுரிஅரையினானே
one who wears on his waist a tiger's skin
காணில்
when we see him
வெண்கோவண(ம்)மும் கையில் ஓர்கபாலம் ஏந்தி ஊணும் ஓர்பிச்சையானே
one who has as his food a small amount of alms, holding in the hand a skull, and tied a white loin-cloth
உமை ஒரு பாகத்தானே
one who has as his half Umai
கோணல் வெண் பிறையினானே
one who has a curved white crescent
கோடிகா உடையகோவே
king of kōṭikā!

கேழல் வெண் கொம்பு பூண்ட கிளர் ஒளி மார்பினானே
one who has a shining chest on which is worn the white tusk of the hog
ஏழையேன் ஏழையேன் நான் என்செய்கேன்
what shall I, who has very little knowledge, do?

மாழை ஒண்கண்ணினார்கள் வலைதனில் மயங்குகின்றேன்
I get bewildered in the trap set by ladies who has bright eyes like the tender mango cut into two
கூழை எறு உகந்த செல்வா
Lord who rides with joy on a short bull
கோடிகா உடையகோவே

அழல் உமிழ் அங்கையானே
one who has a fire in the palms
அரிவை ஓர் பாகத்தானே
one who has a lady on one half
தழல் உமிழ் அரவம் ஆர்த்து
Having tied cobras that spit poison
தலை தனில் பலி கொள்வானே
one who receives alms in the skull
நிழல் உமிழ் சோலை சூழ
surrounding the garden which give shade
நீள்வரி வண்டினங்கள் குழல் உமிழ் கீதம் பாடும் கோடிகா உடையகோவே
king of kōṭikā where swarms of bees having long lines hum like the music produced by the flute.

ஏ அடு சிலையினானே
one who has a bow from which an arrow is discharged to shoot at an aim
புரமவை எரிசெய்தானே
one who burnt the cities with that
மாவடுவகிர்கொள் கண்ணாள் மலைமகள் பாகத்தானே
one who has as a half the daughter of the mountain whose eyes are like the tender mango cut into two
ஆவடு துறையுளானே
one who dwells in āvaṭutuṟai
ஐவரால் ஆட்டப்பட்டேன்
I was harassed by the five senses.
[[ஐந்து is spoken as ஐவர் due to anger]]
கோ அடுகுற்றம் தீராய்
remove all sins that are equal to killing a cow
கோடிகாவுடைய கோவே
king of kōṭikā!

ஏற்ற நீர்க்கங்கையானே
one who received Kaṅkai which is in the form of water
இருநிலம் தாவினானும் நாற்றம் மாமலர்மேல் ஏறு நான்முகன் இவர்கள்கூடி
Both Māl who measured the big earth and Piramaṉ who is sitting on the fragrant big flower of a lotus, joining together
ஆற்றலால் அளக்கலுற்ருர்க்கு அழலுரு ஆயினானே
one who took the form of fire which could not be known by them who tried to measuure it by their own power
கூற்றுக்கும் கூற்று (அது) ஆனாய்
you dealt death even to the god of death
கோடிகா உடையகோவே
king of kōṭikā!

I shall do service as a slave to get training in that

one who destroys sins
மழகளியானையின் தோல் மலைகள் வெருவப் போர்த்த அழகனே
Beautiful one who covered your body with the skin of a young elephant having must, to make the daughter of the moutain to fear
அரக்கன் திண் தோள் அருவரை நெரிய ஊன்றும்குழகனே
the youth who pressed down under the great mountain, to crush the strong shoulders of arakkaṉ
கோலமார்பா
one who has a beautiful chest
கோடிகா உடையகோவே
king of kōṭikā!
