பொருத்திய குரம்பைதன்னைப் பொருள் எனக் கருதவெண்டா
(People of this world!) Do not think as a real this body which is the combination of several matters.
இறைவனை (1) எப்பொழுதும் நெஞ்சுள் இருத்தி ஏத்துமின்கள்
praise the master always fixing him permanently in your minds.
ஒருத்திறைப்பாகம் வைத்து அங்கு ஒருத்தியைச் சடையுள் வைத்த துருத்தி அம் சுடரினானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்ட ஆறே
what a wonder that I, who am very low, saw the light in Turutti who placed within the caṭai a lady (Kaṅkai) and another lady, on one half.

சவைதனைச் செய்து வாழ்வான் சலத்துளே அழுந்துகின்ற இவை ஒருபொருளும் அல்ல
these things which make you sink in evil deeds to live happily by increasing the family and thereby attachments are not worth anything.
இறைவனை ஏத்துமின் (ன்ஓ)
praise the master (people of this world!)
புரம் (அவை) மூன்றும் எய்தும் அடியவர்க்கு அருறிச்செய்த சுவையினைத் துருத்தியானை
the Lord in turutti who is the most tasteful thing who granted his grace to the devotees, and shot an arrow at the three cities. (அவை has no separate meaning; it is called பகுதிப் பொருள்விகுதி expletive suffix; as suffix added on to a word without changing its sense, as kaḷ in avaikal)
தொண்டனேன் கண்ட ஆறே
what a wonder I who am low saw him!

உன்னி எப்போதும் நெஞ்சுள் ஒருவனை ஏத்துமின் (ன்ஓ)
praise the peerless one always fixing your thoughts on him.
கன்னியை ஒருபால் வைத்துக் கங்கையைச் சடையுள்வைத்து
placing Umai who is always virgin on one half and placing Kaṅkai in the caṭai
பொன்னியின் நடுவு தன்னுள் பூம்புனல் பொலிந்து தோன்றும் துன்னிய துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder that I who am low, saw the Lord in turutti in which many good things are crowded, and which appears beautiful in the water having flowers and which is in the middle of the river, poṉṉi.

உலகத்துள் உயிர்கட்கு எல்லாம் ஊன்தலை வலியனாகித்தான் தலைப்பட்டு நின்று சார் கனல் அகத்து வீழ
the god being the strong one in the physical bodies of the souls in this world and being united with them and the bodies fall into the fire after death.
வான் தலைத்தேவர் கூடி
the tēvar who are not able to stand the sight of the bodies being consumed by fire, join together.
வானவர்க்கு இறைவா என்னும் தோன்றலை
the great god whom they worship addressing him as the chief of the residents of heaven.
துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறு

உடல் தனைக் கழிக்கல் உற்ற உலகத்துள் உயிர்கட்கு எல்லாம், இடர்தனைக் 1. கழிய வேண்டில் இறைவனை ஏத்துமின் (ன்ஓ)
praise Civaṉ if the souls in this world who want to discard the bodies and the sufferings to be removed; (this is the advice I can offer you).
கடல் தனில் நஞ்சம் உண்டு
consuming the poison that rose in the ocean.
காண்பு அரிது ஆகி நின்ற சுடர்தனைத் துருத்தியானை
the Lord in turutti who is the light which is difficult to be seen with the physical eye.
தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder I, his low devotee, saw him

நீர்கள் அள்ளலைக் கடக்க வேண்டில் அரனையே நினைமின்
you meditate upon Araṉ himself if you want to cross the mire of birth and go to the other side.
[[The usage of நீர்கள் is to be noted.]]

பொள்ளல் இக்காயம் தனனுள் புண்டரீகத்து இருந்த வள்ளலை
the god of unbounded liberality who dwells in the heart which is like a lotus in the body which has many apertures
வானவர்க்கும் காண்பு அரிது ஆகிநின்ற துள்ளலை
god who rides on a bull leaping on it, who is difficult to be seen even by the celestials; (cf. மணி வெள்ளேற்றுத் துள்ளலை (appar, tiruvatikai vīraṭṭāṉam, tirunēricai (4) 6)
துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder that I, who am very low, saw Civaṉ in turutti!

பாதியில் உமையாள் தன்னைப் பாகமாவைத்த பண்பன்
Civaṉ of noble character who placed Umayāl as his half on the left side.
வேதியன்' என்று சொல்லி
praising Civaṉ as one who revealed the vetam!
விண்ணவர் விரும்பி 1. ஏத்த
the celestials praise with affection.
சாதி ஆம் சதுர்முகனும் சக்கரத்தானும் காணாச் சோதியை
the lustrous light that could not be seen by Māl having a discus and four faced Piramaṉ who are born.
துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே

சாம்மனை வாழ்க்கை ஆன சலத்துளே அழுந்த வேண்டா
(People of this world!) you need not sink into the trickery of house-holder's life which ends in death.
தூம நல் அகிலும் காட்டித் தொழுது அடி வணங்கு மின்(ன்ஓ)
pay obeisance to the feet of the god worshipping him offering the incense of eagle-wood.
சோமனைச் சடையுள் வைத்துத் தொன்னெறி பலவும் காட்டும் (1) தூமனத்துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder that I saw the god in Turutti who has a pure mind to show his devotees many time-honoured paths, having placed in his caṭai the crescent!

(People of this world!) you
குண்டரே சமணர் புத்தர் குறி அறியாது நின்று
the low people of camaṇar and puttar who are without any idea of the aim of life.
கண்டதே கருதுவார்கள்
will only think of what they see with their senses.
கருத்து எண்ணாது ஒழிமின்
give up thinking of their ideas.
விண்டவர் புரங்கள் எய்து
discharging an arrow on the cities of the enemies.
விண்ணவர்க்கு அருள்கள் செய்து
and granting his grace in an abundant meassure.
தொண்டர்கள் துணையினானைத்துருத்தி நான் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder I saw in turutti the companion of the devotees!

பிண்டத்தைக் கழிக்க வேண்டின் பீரானையே பிதற்றுமின்கள்
if you want to cast of the body prattle the names of the master.
அண்டத்தைக் கழிய நீணட் அடல் அரக்கன்தன் ஆண்மை கண்டு
seeing the strength by lifting the mountain by the killing arakkaṉ who had conquered many worlds
ஒத்துக் கால் விரலால் ஊன்றி
pressing him down with the toe which heplaced gently on him.
மீண்டு அருளிச்செய்த துண்டத்துத் துருத்தியானைத் தொண்டனேன் கண்டவாறே
what a wonder I, who am very low, saw Civaṉ in Turutti who wears a crescent and who granted his grace as against the punishment
