கங்கையைச் சடையுள்வைத்தார்

பொங்கு வெண்ணூலும் வைத்தார்
wore on his chest a sacred thread, of increasing whiteness.
கடியதோர் நாகம் வைத்தார்
wore a fearful cobra
காலனைக் கால வைத்தார்
he kicked kālaṉ to make his life to leave his body.

He placed himself in all the worlds.
படைதரு மழுவும் வைத்தார்
kept in his hand a battle-axe that can kill enemies.
பாய்புலித் தோலும் வைத்தார்
had a skin of a tiger that can pounce upon its prey

விடைதரு கொடியும் வைத்தார்
has a banner on which the form of a bull is drawn.
வெண்புரி நூலும் வைத்தார்

Civaṉ in Aiyāṟu, our father, who is praised by the celestials living in many universes.

வானவர் வணங்க வைத்தார்
made the celestials to worship him
வல்வினை மாயவைத்தார்
caused the irresistible karnams to perish
கானிடை நடமும் வைத்தார்
Danced in the cremation ground
[[EXPL: the cremation ground is called சுடுகாடு in Tamil;
there is one verse in puṟam under the title காடு வாழ்த்து (356) and another one in Puṟapporuḷ Veṇpāmālai, 374]]
ஆனிடை ஐந்தும் வைத்தார்
placed the five produces in the cow.
ஆட்டுவார்க்கு அருளும் வைத்தார்
granted his grace to those who bathe him with those five
ஆனையின் உரிவை வைத்தார்
He covered himself with the skin of an elephant.

விரிபொழில் அனைத்தும் வைத்தார்
created all the worlds that had their origin in him

made my mind to focus all thoughts on him
சிவமதே நினைய வைத்தார்
caused me to think of auspicious things only.
முத்தியை முற்றவைத்தார்
has in him liberation which has the full measure of happiness.
முறை முறை நெறிகள் வைத்தார்
has devised many paths in the hierarchical manner.
அத்தியின் உரிவை வைத்தார்
covered himself with the skin of an elephant.

wears beautiful and fragrant koṉṟai.
நாகமும் அரையில் வைத்தார்
wears a cobra as belt in his waist.

கொல் புலித் தோலும் வைத்தார்
has a skin of a tiger capable of killing.

has a kind of lute called kiṉṉaram.

created fearful hells to all those who conceal their wealth and refuse to give
பரப்பு நீர்க் கங்கை தன்னைப்படர் சடைப் பாகம் வைத்தார்
placed in a portion of the spreading caṭai kankai of big expanse of water
அரக்கனுக்கு அருளும் வைத்தார்
