நங்கையைப் பாகம் வைத்தார்
He kept an eminent lady as his half.
ஞானத்தை நவில வைத்தார்
He has spiritual wisdom which is to be repeated very often by the tongue.
அங்கையில் அனலும் வைத்தார்
He placed on his palm fire (அங்கை=அம் கை beautiful palm, for the first meaning it should be split as அகம்+கை)
ஆனையின் உரிவை வைத்தார்
He has an elephants skin (ஆனை-யானை the consonant sound has been dropped)
தமக்கையின் யாழும் வைத்தார்/
He has on his hand a yāḻ.
தாமரை மலரும் வைத்தார்
He has a lotus flower also in his hand.
கங்கையைச் சடையுள் வைத்தார்
He kept Kaṅkai inside his matted locks of hair.

விண்ணினை விரும்ப வைத்தார்
He made some people to desire heaven (விண் liberation from the cycle of birth and death; eternal bliss)
வேள்வியை வேட்க வைத்தார்
He has prescribed sacrifice to be performed.
பண்ணினைப் பாடவைத்தார்
He has given paṇ to praise him.
பத்தர்கள் பயில வைத்தார்
He has devotees who are trained to worship his fest.
மண்ணினைத்தால நீண்ட மாலினுக்கு அருளும் வைத்தார்
He bestowed grace on māḻ who grew tall to measure the world (grace-the strength to measure the three worlds)
கண்ணினை நெற்றி வைத்தார்
He placed one eye on his forehead.

{$} கழிப்பாலைச் சேர்ப்பனார்

வாமனை வணங்கவைத்தார்
he made vāmaṉaṉ (the dwarf-incarnation of Māl) to worship him.
வாயினை வாழ்த்த வைத்தார்
He gave us tongues to sing his praise.
சோமனைச் சடைமேல்வைத்தார்
He placed the crescent on his matted locks of hair.
சோதியுள் சோதிவைத்தார்
He created the light inside the fire.
ஆமன் நெய் ஆடவைத்தார்
He has given us the ghee which can be had from the cow, to bathe him.
அன்பு எனும் பாசம் வைத்தார்
He has created the bond of love.
காமனைக் காய்ந்த கண்ணார்
He burnt Kāmaṉ with his (third) eye.

அரியன அங்கம் வேதம் அந்தணர்க்கு அருளும் வைத்தார்
He bestowed his grace on aṇtaṇar in addition to giving them aṅkam (six vēta aṅkam) and vētam which are difficult to understand.
பெரியன புரங்கள் மூன்றும் பேரழல் உண்ணவைத்தார்
He made the big fire to consume all the three big cities.
பரிய தீ வண்ணராகிப் பவளம் போல் நிறத்தை வைத்தார்
Having the colour of a big fire he has a form resembling coral.
கரியதோர் கண்டம் வைத்தார்
He has a neck black in colour.

கூரிருள் கிழிய நின்ற கொடு மழுக்கையில் வைத்தார்
He kept in his hand a cruel maḻu which by its brightness rends the dense darkness.
பேரிருள் கிழிய மல்கு பிறை புனற் சடையில் வைத்தார்
He placed the flourishing crescent in the matted locks of hair having water (of Kaṅkai) to make the dense darkness to disappear.
ஆர் இருள் அண்டம் வைத்தார்
He placed the universe in dense darkness.
அறுவகைச் சமயம் வைத்தார்
He is the author of the six different religions (அறுவகைச்சமயம்: Appar, potu.1-3; tirumaṟaikkātu, 6; tiruvoṟṟiyur 5; tiruviṉṉampar, 4,7; taṉitirukkuṟuntokai, 6; tiruvīḻimiḻalai, 7; tirukkacci ākampam, 7; tirumutuKuṉṟam, 5)
கார் இருள் கண்டம் வைத்தார்
he kept the black colour of the poison in his neck.

உள் தங்கு சிந்தை வைத்தார்
He gave the thinking power which in the mind.
உள்குவார்க்கு உள்ளம் வைத்தார்
He gave the mind to those who meditate on him ceaselessly.
விண்தங்கு வேள்விவைத்தார்
He has prescribed sacrifices which are helpful to ascend into heaven.
வெந்துயர் தீர வைத்தார்
He made the cruel sufferings (like birth) to perish.
நள் தங்கு நடமும் வைத்தார்
He has a dance which he performs in the dense darkness.
ஞாலமும் நவிலவைத்தார்
He created the living beings in the world to praise his fame

கட்டங்கம் தோள்மேல் வைத்தார்
He kept the battle-axe on his shoulder (கட்டங்கம் corruption of the sanskrit word Khaṭvāṅga')

ஊனப்பேர் ஒழியவைத்தார்
He was instrumental in removing the name which had blemish attached to it. (Perhaps this refers to his being a jain and having the name of tarumacēṉar and which was removed when he got the name of tirunāvukkaracu)
ஓதியே உணர வைத்தார்
He made people people realise him by learning theological works (which describe him)
ஞானப்பேர் நவிலவைத்தார்
He made people recite often the name which reminds one of god.
ஞானமும் நடுவும் வைத்தார்
He made wisdom and uprightness.
வானப்பேர் ஆறும் வைத்தார்
He kept on his head the big river descending from the sky.
வைகுந்தற்கு ஆழிவைத்தார்
He donated a discuss to vaikuntaṉ (வைகுந்தன் the name of tirumāl).
கானப்பேர் காதல் வைத்தார்
He was fond of Kāṉappēr. (Kāṉappēr: one of the 14 shrines praised in tēvāram and situated in pāṇṭiya nāṭu; Now it is known as Kālayār Kovil because the god appeared before cuntarar in the form of a bull).

கொங்கினும் அரும்புவைத்தார்
He has placed the pollen inside the bud also. (the words should be changed like this: அரும்பினும் கொங்கு வைத்தார்)
கூற்றங்கள் கெடுக்க வைத்தார்
He created many gods of death to take away the lives.
சங்கினுள் முத்தம் வைத்தார்
He placed the pearl inside the chank

சாம்பரும் பூசவைத்தார்
He made the ashes to be smeared on the body.
அங்கமும் வேதம் வைத்தார்
He gave out the six aṅkams and the vētams (four in number) (உம் should be added to வேதம் also).
ஆலமும் உண்டு வைத்தார்
He swallowed the death-dealing poison also.
கங்குலும் பகலும் வைத்தார்
He created night and day.

சதுர்முகன் தானும் மாலும் தம்மிலே இகலக்கண்டு
on seeing that the four-faced one and Māl were fighting with each other.
எதிர்முகம் இன்றி
without appearing beform them to be seen.
நின்ற எரி உரு அதனை வைத்தார்
He placed a form of fire whichwas standing tall
பிதிர்முகன் காலன் தன்னைக் கால்தனில் பிதிரஐவத்தார்
He made Kālaṉ who had a bewildered face to become scattered, (by kicking him with his legs)
கதிர்முகம் சடையில் வைத்தார்
He placed the crescent in the matted locks of hair.

மாலினாள் நங்கை அஞ்ச
to make the eminent lady who became confused in mind, to be seized with fear.
மதிள் இலங்கைக்கு மன்னன்
the King of ilaṅkai surrounded by a wall of enclosure.
வேலினான்
who was holding a vēl (lance)
வெபுண்டு எடுக்கக் காண்டலும்
On seeing him when be lifted (the mountain) with anger.
வேதநாவன்
one who is always chanting the vētam.
நூலினான்
and one who revealed the other works. (One who wears a sacred thread)
நக்கு
with a smile.
நொடிப்பது ஓர் அளவில் வீழக்காலினால் ஊன்றி இட்டார்
He definitely pressed him down with his leg in as much time as would take to snap with the thumb and middle finger.
