{$} நறவம் நாறும் மஞ்சு அடை சோலைத் தில்லை மல்கு சிற்றம் பலத்தே
flourishing in Ciṟṟampalam in Tillai which has groves on which clouds rest and from which the fragrance spreads.
துஞ்சு அடை இருள் கிழியத் துளங்கு எரி ஆடுமாறு
Dancing with fire which makes a sound so as to drive the darkness which had been there to stay permanently.
செஞ்சடைக்கற்றை முற்றத்து
in the expanses of the collection of the red matted locks.
இளநிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னி நஞ்சடை கண்டனாரைக் காணலாம்
one can see the god who has a neck in which there is poison, and in whose head the crescent sheds its mild night.

நீண்ட எரியாடுமாறு
dancing with a rising fire

தம்பால் இளநிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னி ஆறனார்

having borne a river and a lady wearing select jewels on his half.

சாந்த நீற்றர்
one who has smeared the sacred ashes as sandle paste.
தனி நிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னியுடையனார்
one who has on his head a single phased crescent which gives light.
பிச்சை ஏற்று உண்பதும் உடை தலையில்
Begging alms and eating the same in a broken skull.
கடிகொள் பூந்தில்லை தன்னுள் கருது சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in the Ciṟṟampalam which is considered superior to other shrines and which is in Tillai having flowers spreading fragrance

அடி கழல் ஆர்க்க நின்று அனல் எரி ஆடுமாறே
standing dancing with a glowing fire, for the anklets in the feet to make a big sound.

பனி நிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னி
having a head where the cool moon sheds a mild light.
மை அரிக்கண்ணினாளும் மாலும் ஓர் பாகமாகி
having on one half a lady with eyes coated with colliriyum and lines on the white portion, and Māl (Vishnu)
செய் எரி தில்லை தன்னுள் திகழ்ந்த சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in the eminent Ciṟṟampalam in Tillai which has red sacrificial fires.
கை எரி வீசி நின்று கனல்எரி ஆடுமாறு
dancing in glouring fire standing and throwing five from the hand.

{$} வேதம் வாயால் ஓதினார்
He chanted the Vētam (cāmam) from his own mouth.
ஒளிநிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னிப்பூதனார்
the pure one on whose head the crescent shines brightly.
பூதம் சூழப்புலியுரி அதளனார்
one who wears the skin of tiger flayed from it, and surrounded by pūtam (பூதகணம்)
நாதனார்
the master of all.
தில்லைதன்னுள் நவின்ற சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in Ciṟṟampalam which is spoken of highly in Tillai.
காதில் வெண் குழைகள் தாழ கனல் எரி ஆடுமாறு
dancing with glowing fire, for the white ear-rings (made of conch) to hang down.

Being two persons in one form.
ஒளிநிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னிப்பரம மூர்த்தி
the god of supreme body on whose head the bright moonlight shines.
பாரிடம் பாணிசெய்யப் பயின்ற எம்பரமமூர்த்தி
our god of supreme body who dances always when the pāriṭam (parshan) keeps time.
கார் இடம் தில்லை தன்னுள் கருது சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in Ciṟṟampalam which is considered great in Tillai where clouds stay.
பேரிடம் பெருக நின்று பிறங்கு எரி ஆடுமாறு
dancing permanently having a shining fire to make the big place to grow in size.

{$} முதல் தனிச் சடையை மூழ்க முகிழ்நிலாஎறிக்கும் சென்னி
one who has on his head the rising moonlight which envelopes the bottom-most part of the unequalled matted locks.
மதக்களிற்று உரிவை போர்த்த மைந்தரைக் காணலாகும்
one can see the strong one who has covered himself with the skin of a male elephant of musts.
மதத்து வண்டு அறையும் சோலை மல்கு சிற்றம்பலத்து
in the Ciṟṟampalam where in the gardens where proud bees are humming.
கதத்தது ஓர் அரவம் ஆடக்கனல் எரி ஆடுமாறு
dancing with a fire when an angry serpent spreads its hood and moves about.

one who gave out the maṟai (Vētam)

he who completely destroys the difficulties of those who praise him.

in the glittering Ciṟṟampalam in Tillai where water is dammed.

Having been an elderly one and a young boy.
விரிநிலா எறிக்கும் சென்னி நிருத்தனார்
the dancer on whose head the crescent shines spreading its light.
நிருத்தம் செய்ய நீண்ட புன்சடைகள் தாழ
as he dances the long and ruddy and long matted locks of hair hang down.
கருத்தனார்
one who is in the minds of his devotees.
தில்லை தன்னுட் கருதுசிற்றம்பலத்தே
in the Ciṟṟampalam which is considered to be great in Tillai.
அருத்தமா மேனி தன்னோடு
with a lady kept in his half and who has the complexion of mango leaves

அனல்எரி ஆடுமாறு (காணலாம்)
we can see him dancing having a fire (on his hand)

Having been a young boy and an elderly one.

காலனைக் காலாற் காய்ந்த கடவுளார்
the God who killed the God of death (Kālaṉ) by kicking him by his foot.
விடை ஒன்று ஏறி
Having mounted on a bull.
ஞாலம் ஆம் தில்லை தன்னுள் நவின்ற சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in Ciṟṟampalam which is praised and situated in Tillai where the people of this world gather.
நீலஞ்சேர் கண்டனார்தாம் நீண்டஎரிஆடுமாறு (காணலாம்)
one can see the Lord with a blue neck dancing with a long fire.

{$} மதிஇலா அரக்கன் ஓடி மாமலை எடுக்க நோக்கி
seeing the arakkaṉ devoid of sense to run and lift a big mountain.
நெதியன் தோள் நெரிய ஊன்றி
one who firmly fired his feet to crush the shoulders of that wealthy person (arakkaṉ)

மதியம் தோய் தில்லை தன்னுள் மல்கு சிற்றம்பலத்தே
in the Ciṟṟampalam of increasing fame in Tillai where the moon touches the storeys.
அதிசயம் போல நின்று அனல்எரி ஆடுமாறு (காணலாம்)
one can see him dancing holding a glowing fire, standing like an object of wonder.
