மடல் வரை இல் மது விம்மு சோலை வயல் சூழ்ந்து அழகு ஆரும் (கலிக்காமூர்)
in (Kalikkāmūr) which is full of beauty as it is surrounded by fields and gardens where from the petals of flowers limitless honey is flowing.
கடல் வரை ஓதம் கலந்து முத்தம் சொரியும் கலிக்காமூர்
is Kalikkāmūr where the waves of the sea which are like mountains combine among themselves and pour forth pearls.
உடல் வரையின் உயிர் வாழ்கையாய ஒருவன் கழல் ஏத்த
to praise the feet of the unequalled one who is the cause for the life of the soul within the body

sufferings will not follow; twin acts, good and bad, will be destroyed; one will receive God's grace

மைவரைபோல் திரையோடு கூடி
having joined with the waves which are like the hills on which clouds settle.
ஓதம் புடையே மலிந்து
the tides increasing by the side of the shore.
கைவரையால் வளர் சங்கம் எங்கும் மிகுக்கும் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where they (waves) heap conches on the shore, in every place.
மெய் வரையான் மகள் பாகன் தன்னை விரும்ப
if one loves the Lord who has on half of his form the daughter of the king of the mountains.
உடல் வாழும் ஐவரை ஆசறுத்து ஆறும் என்பர்
(wise people) say that he will put an end to to the mischief of the five senses that are in the body
[[ஐந்து is spoken of as ஐவர் (rational beings) on account of anger]]
அதுவும் சரதமே
that too is certain.

காவியின் நேர்விழி மாதர்
ladies whose eyes resemble the blue nelumbo flowers.
தூவிய நீர் மலர் ஏந்தி வையத்தவர் தொழுது ஏத்த
and the males of this world worship and praise the Lord holding in their hands flowers to scatter at his feet and water to bathe him
[[தூவிய -- தூவும் பொருட்டு; adverbial participle (வினையெச்சம்)]]
என்றும் கவின் ஆர் கலிக்காமூர் மேவிய ஈசனை எம்பிரானை விரும்பி வழிபட்டால்
if one worships with desire the chief who is our master and who resides in Kalikkāmūr which is always full of beauty.
ஆதிமூர்த்தி, அமரர் பெருமான்
the Lord of primordial form, the chief of the immortals.
ஆவியுள் நீங்கலன்
will not leave the soul (and will be always in it).

குன்றுகள் போல் திரை உந்தி -- அம் தண் மணி ஆர்தர
Beautiful and cool pearls which have been pushed out by the waves which are like hills, being abundant.
மேதி ஆயம் கன்றுடன் புல்கி மனை சூழ் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where the herds of buffaloes combine with their calves and surround the houses.
என்று உணர் ஊழியும் வாழும் எந்தை பெருமான்
the great one who is our father and who is from that aeon the world knew the existence of the sun.
அடி ஏத்தி நின்று
continously praising his feet.
உணர்வாரை நினைய கில்லார் நீசர்
those who do not think highly about those who meditate on them (feet) are low people.
நமண் தமரே
and they can be compared to the servants of Namaṉ (god of death) in respect of cruelty.

வானிடை வாள்மதி மாடம் தீண்ட
the storeys are being touched by the bright moon in the sky.
மருங்கே கடல் ஓதம் கானிடை நீழவில் கண்டல் வாழும் கழி சூழ் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr which is surrounded by backwater, where in the shade of the sea-shore garden the fragrant screw-pines are in a flourishing state, as they are dashed by the waves nearby.
ஆனிடை ஐந்து உகந்து ஆடினானை
one who bathed gladly in the five products of the cow.
அமரர் தொழுது ஏத்த
to be worshipped and praised by the immortals.
நான் அடைவு ஆம் வணம் அன்புதந்த நலமே நினைவோம்
I shall think about his good act of bestowing his love on me, so that I might be fit to be his devotee.

துறை வளர் கேதகை மீது வாசம் சூழ் வான் மலி தென்றல்
along with the balmy breeze from the screw-pine which grows in the tuṟai (ghat)
கறை வளரும் கடல் ஓதம் என்றும் கலிக்கும் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where the waves in the black sea are always roaring.
மறை வளரும் பொருள் ஆயினானை
He is the person who is praised in maṟai above all other gods.
மனத்தால் நினைந்து ஏத்த
if one thinks about him and praise him.
நிறை வளரும் புகழ் எய்தும்
increasing fame which spreads everywhere will reach him.
வாதை நினையா
distresses will not think of afflicting him.
வினை போமே
even the twin actions will leave him.

கோல நல் மேனியின் மாதர் மைந்தர் கொணர் மங்கலியத்தில்
with the auspicious things brought by young men and ladies with beautiful bodies.
காலமும் பொய்க்கினும் தாம் வழுவாது இயற்றும் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where they perform worship without any deficiency, even if the seasonal rains fail,
[[காலம் here stands for seasonal rains]]
ஞாலமும் தீ வளி ஞாயிறு ஆய நம்பன்
the god in whom we can repose confidence and who is the world, fire, air and sun
[[By the conjuction உம் in ஞாலமும், we have to supply his other four forms: space, water, moon and the person who performs sacrifices.]]
கழல் ஏத்தி ஒலமிடாதவர்
those who do not cry aloud for protection, worshipping his feet.
ஊழி என்றும் உணர்வைத் துறந்தார்
though they live for many ages, have permanently left their clear discernment.

ஊர் அரவம் தலை நீள் முடியான் ஒலி நீர் உலகு ஆண்டு
ruling over the world surrounded by noisy sea having a crown of matted locks of hairs on the head which has crawling serpents.
கார் அரவக் கடல் சூழ வாழும் பதி ஆம் கலிக்காமூர்
Kalikkāmūr, a city which prospers surrounded by the blue sea of roaring noise.
தேர் அரவு அல்குல் அம் பேதை அஞ்சத் திருந்து வரை பேர்த்தான்
on one who removed the perfect mountain for the young lady who has a waist resembling the central seating place of chariot and the expanded hood of a snake to fear.
ஆர் அரவம் படவைத்த பாதம் உடையான் இடம் ஆம்
is the place of the god who placed his foot to make him cry aloud.

அருவரை ஏந்திய மாலும்
Māl who held up (as an umbrella) the pre-eminent mountain (gōvardhanam)
மற்றை அலர் மேல் உறைவானும்
and the other one who resides on a (lotus flower).
இருவரும் அஞ்ச எரி உருவாய் எழுந்தான் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where the god who rose as a column of fire for both of them to be afraid of.
ஒரு வாரையான் மகள் பாகன் தன்னை உணர்வால் தொழுதேத்த
if one worships and praises with consciousness the god who has on his half the daughter of the mountain which has no equal.
திருமருவும்
wealth will come to him.
சிதைவு இல்லை
it will not perish.
செம்மைத் தேசு அவர் பால் உண்டு
there will be spotless lustre on their bodies.

மாசு பிறக்கிய மேனியாரும்
those who have abundant dirt on their bodies (jains)
மருவும் துவராடை மீசு பிறக்கிய மெய்யினாரும்
those who cover their bodies with shining robes soaked in myrtle dye

அவர் தோற்றம் அறியார்
do not know his real nature.
காசினி நீர்த்திரள் மண்டி எங்கும் வளம் ஆர் கலிக்காமூர்
in Kalikkāmūr where every place is full of fertility as floods are moving swiftly.
ஈசனை எந்தை பிரானை ஏத்தி நினைவார் வினைபோம்
the actions of those who praise and fix their thoughts on the master who is also our father and Lord, will leave them of their own accord.

ஆழியுள் நஞ்சு அமுது ஆர உண்டு அன்று
having drunk on that day the poison that rose in the ocean as nectar.
[[PP: ஆலத்தினால் அமிர்து ஆக்கிய கோன்
(Kōvaiyār, 27)]]
அமுது உண்ண ஊழிதொறும் உளரா அமரர்க்கு அளித்தான்
on him who gave the immortals a long life to live in every age as they partook of nectar.
உலகத்து உயர்கின்ற காழியுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன் சொன்ன தமிழால்
with the Tamiḻ verses sung by Ñāṉacampantaṉ of Kāḻi which is pre-eminent in this world.
கலிக்காமூர் எம்மானை வணங்கி ஏத்தப்பிணி மருவா
diseases will not go near them if people bow to our Lord and praise him, in Kalikkāmūr.
