வெண்மதி தவழ் மதிள் மிழலையீர்
Civaṉ in Miḻalai which has fortified walls on which the moon crawls!
சடை ஒண்மதி அணி உடையீரே
you have as ornament the bright crescent on your caṭai!

உமை உணர்பவர் கண்மதி மிகுவது கடனே
it is natural for those who esteem you as the supreme god, for their intellect, which thinks only of attaining your feet as their only aim, to increase.

Civaṉ who dwells in Miḻalai where brahmins who conduct their lives according to rules!
நடம் சதிவழி வருவது ஓர் சதிரே
it is really a beauty that you perform dance to measure of time.
சதிவழி வருவது ஒர் சதிர் உடையீர்
you have a beauty to dance to measure of time.
உமை அதிகுணர் புகழ்வதும் அழகே
when people possessing extraordinary attributes praise you it is also beautiful.

Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai made beautiful by gardens which have abundant fragrance.
ஒருவரை மிசை உறைவது உம் வலது
it is your skill to dwell in a mountain (Kayilai)
வரை மிசை உறைவது ஒர் வலது உடையீர்
you who have skill to dwell in a mountain.

கையில் இட்டு எழில் பெறுகிறது எரியே
the fire attains beauty by being placed in your hand.
இட்டு எழில் பெறுகிறது எரி உடையீர்

புரம் அட்டது வரை சிலையாலே
the cities were destroyed by the bow of a mountain

Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai where there are ladies whose eyes can be compared to Vēl!
நல பால் நிகர் உரு உடையீரே
you have a body as white as pure milk.
பால் நிகர் உரு உடையீர்

உமது உடன் உமை (தான்) மிக உறைவது தவமே
it is the fruit of her penance that Umai is living in your body as one half.

செனி நிரை உற அணிவது நெறியே
perhaps it is proper for you to adorn yourself with rows of skulls.

you have a proper way of adorning yourself with rows of skulls.
உமது அரை உற அணிவன அரவே
cobras are worn round your waist

Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai which has fields of still water!
அரவு அசை உற அணிவு உடையீர்
you adorn with cobras which move about.

உமை அறிபவர் நசை உறும் நாவினர் தாமே
those who have understood you are people whose words are listened to with rapt attention.

{$} விலங்கல் ஒண் மதிள் அணி மிழலை உளீர்
Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai which has a beautiful fortified wall like the mountain!
அன்று அ இலங்கைமன் இடர் கெடுத்தீரே
you destroyed the suffering of the King of Ilankai in the past.

உமை ஏத்துவார் புலன்களை முனிவது பொருள்
it is of great moment for those who praise you to subdue the senses, being angry with them.

Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai which has beautiful gardens and mansions as big as mountains.
அற்புதன் அயன் அறியானே
one who could not be known by Māl of wonderful powers, and Ayaṉ.
அற்புதன் அயன் அறியா வகை (1) நின்றவ

நற்பதம் அறிவது நயமே
to know your good feet is the benefit that human beings get.

உமைப் போற்றுவார் பத்திசெய் மனம் உடையவரே
those who have piety in their hearts are people fit to praise you

about Civaṉ who is in Miḻalai made beautiful by gardens where clouds are crowded.
சண்பையுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன
of Ñāṉacampantaṉ of Caṇpai.
சண்பையுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன தமிழ் இவை ஒண்பொருள் உணர்வதும் உணர்வே
that intellect which can understand the big meaning of these Tamiḻ verses of Ñāṉacampantaṉ of Caṇpai is fit to be called such.
