the place where Civaṉ who has a lady the daughter of the mountain which is gold, and who is a strong able person, who placed on the caṭai in which water stays, leaves of indian mesquit and datura flowers, dwells with joy.
கன்னி இளவாளை குதிகொள்ள
when the very young seabbard fish leap.
இளவள்ளை படர் அள்ளல் வயல்வாய்
in the fields which are miry where the tender creeping bindweed is spreading.
இளமேதிகள் மன்னிப்படிந்து
young buffaloes having bathed for a long time.
மனைசேர் உதவி மாணிகுழியே
is utavi māṇikuḻi where they return to their houses.

ஒருதோல் உடை புனைந்து
putting on beautifully a dress of a skin.
தெருவே மாதர்மனைதோறும் இசைபாடி
singing music in every house of the ladies in the streets.
வசிபேசும் அரனார் மகிழ்விடம்
the place where Araṉ who speaks fascinating words rejoices to dwells.
தாதுமலி தாமரை மணம் கமழவண்டு முரல் தண்பழனம்மிக்கு
increasing in cool fields where the bees hum to spread the fragrance of the lotus which has plenty of pollen.
ஓதமலி வேலைபுடைசூழ் உலகில் நீடு உதவி மாணிகுழியே
is Utavi Māṇikuḻi which has been in existence since very old times, in the world surrounded on all sides by ocean which abounds in waves.

{$} அம்பு அனைய கண் உமை மடந்தை அவள் அஞ்சி வெருவச் சினமுடைக் கம்ப மதயானை உரி செய்த அரனார் கருதி (1) மேய இடம்
the place which Araṉār who flayed an angry elephant tied to a pillar to make the lady Umai who has eyes like the arrow, to fear and get startled, desired to dwell thinking of its importance.
வம்பு மலி சோலை புடைசூழ மணி (2) மாடம் (அது) நீடி அழகுஆர் உம்பர் (அவர்) கோன் நகரமென்ன மிகமன்உதவி மாணிகுழி ஆம்
is utavi māṇikuḻi which is eternal like the city of the King of the immortals which is beautiful, and where there are tall storeys set with gems, and which is surrounded on all sides by gardens which have abundance of fragrance.

{$} நித்தம் நியமத் தொழிலன் ஆகி நெடுமால் குறளன் ஆகி மிகவும் சித்தம் (அது) ஒருக்கி வழிபாடு செய்கின்ற சிவலோகன் இடம்
the place of Civalōkaṉ whom the tall Māl assuming the form of a dwarf and practising daily routine of religious duties, controlling the mind very strictly.
கொத்து அலர் மலர்ப் பொழிலின் நீடு குல மஞ்ஞை நடம் (1) ஆட அது கண்டு வரி வண்டுகள் உலாவி ஒத்த இசைபாடு உதவி மாணிகுழி ஆம்
is utavi māṇikuḻi where, on seeing the superior peacocks dancing in the flower-gardens which blossom in bunches; the bees with lines, moving to and fro hum like the music in agreement with that dance.

{$} மாசு இல் மதிசூடு சடை மாமுடியர்
Civaṉ has a big caṭai coiled into a crown on which he wears a crescent without the black spot.

the place of nampaṉ (Civaṉ) who bestowed his grace on the good celestials, destroying the old cities of the strong acurar.
வாசம் மலிமென் குழல் மடந்தையர்கள் மாளிகையின் மன்னி அழகு ஆர் ஊசல் மிசை ஏறி இனிதாக இசைபாடு உதவி மாணிகுழிஆம்
is utavi māṇikuḻi where the ladies who have very fragrant and soft tresses of hair stay in the mansions and climbing on the beautiful swing sing sweet music, appropriate to that.

the place of Civaṉ who has a blue neck and who kicked the unequalled Kālaṉ (god of death) who came with the idea of taking away the life of the bachelor (mārkkaṇṭeyaṉ) who worshipped Civaṉ with soft and fresh flowers

சந்தினொடு கார் அகில் சுமந்து தடமா மலர்கள் கொண்டு கெடிலம் உந்து புனல் வந்து வயல் பாயும் மணம் ஆர் உதவி மாணிகுழி ஆம்
is Utavi Māṇikuḻi full of fragrance where the river, Keṭilam, carrying sandal wood and eagle wood and bringing in its floods very big flowers, whose rising water comes and flows into the fields.

{$} எண் பெரிய வானவர்கள் நின்று துதி செய்ய இறையே கருணையாய் உண்பு அரிய (1) நஞ்சு அதனை உண்டு உலகம் உய்ய அருள் உத்தமன் இடம்
the place of the supreme being possessed of all moral attributes who granted his grace to save the world by consuming the poison which could not be consumed by any other god, showing a little of his grace when the esteemed great celestials like Māl, Piramaṉ and intiraṉ praised him without stopping.

is utavi maṇikuḻi where many bees which practise melody-types, work in the flowers and drink honey, in the fertile gardens where fragrance spreads as the superior jack trees shed their sweet fruits.

the place of Civalōkam who granted his grace after crushing the valourous and strong arakkaṉ who lifted the great and beautiful mountain, Kayilai without forethought

is utavi māṇikuḻi where the ladies, whose words are like melody-types, and who have large breasts beautiful lips like coral and bright foreheads, bathe in the water plunging and diving.

shooting up high so that Ayaṉ who searched the feet and Ayaṉ who searched the head could not know them, as a column of fire.
முடிமேல் ஏடுஉலவு திங்கள் மதமத்தம் இதழிச்சடை எம்ஈசன் இடம்
the place of our Lord of the Universe who has on his caṭai on the head a crescent resembling the petal of the white lotus datura flowers and koṉṟai.
மாடு உலவு மல்லிகை குருந்து கொடி மாதவி செருந்தி, குரவினூடு உலவு புன்னை (1) விரை தாது மலிசேர் உதவிமாணி குழியே ஆம்
is Utavimāṇikuḻi where fragrant pollen of the mast wood tree, which moves into the bottle-flower tree, panicled golden blossomed pear-tree, creeper of the common delight of the woods, wild lime trees and jasmine that spreads on the sides, are in an abundant quantity.

the place of the chief who does not bestow his grace accepting the words spoken by the ignorant amaṇar who have a bald head as the hairs are removed by plucking and senior tērar (buddhists) whose doctrine is that the acts done by taking efforts will themselves bear fruit, who have no firm beliefs, and who have no intelligence.
மட்டை மலி தாழை இளநீர் முதிய வாழையில் விழுந்த அதரில் ஒட்ட மலி பூக நிரை தாறு உதிர ஏறு உதவி மாணிகுழி ஆம்
is utavi māṇikuḻi where the tender fruit of the cocoanut tree which has many leave stalks falls on the mature plaintain tree, strikes against dense cluster of fruits of the areca-palm to shed and get stuck in the path.

on Utavi Māṇikuḻi surrounded by the flowing water of the cool river Keṭilam which comes pushing many things.
அந்திமதி சூடிய எம்மானை அடிசேரும் அணிகாழி நகரான்
the native of the city of beautiful Kāḻi who always meditates on the feet of our Lord who wears on his head a crescent that rises at sunset.
சந்தம் நிறை தண்டமிழ் தெரிந்து உணரும் ஞானசம்பந்தனது சொல் முந்தி இசை செய்து மொதிவார்கள்
those who recite with music at the beginning of the day the words of Ñāṉacampantaṉ who has knowledge of refined Tamiḻ full of rhythmic movement, by research.

will obtain the extensive heaven and this world as their possession.
