மத்த யானை மறுக(வ்) உரி (1) வாங்கி அக்கத்தை போர்த்த கடவுள்
the god who flayed the skin of a rutting elephant to make it perturbeed, and covered himself with it as a bundle (கத்தை=கற்றை bundle)

Civaṉ has a catai which wonderfully restrained the Kaṅkai.
(2) வினை உள்குவார்க்கு அமுதநீழல் அறாதது ஓர் செல்வம் ஆம்
the refuge of the feet which is like nectar to those who think of the service that devotees perform to Civaṉ is wealth that never leaves them.
(3) கம் முதல் முல்லை கமழ்கின்ற கருகாவூர் அமுதர்வண்ணம்
the colour of the god who is as sweet as nectar in Karukāvūr where the arabian jasmine of sweet smell gives pleasure to the nose.
அழலும் அழல் வண்ணமே
is the colour of the burning fire.

Civaṉ has songs in praise of his feet; has humble devotees who train themselves in worship, come there saying, a youth who is in the music of songs and invoking his names, with their hearts melting.

Do not be clear in your minds thinking that the words of buddhits who cover their bodies and amaṇar who wander all through the day, as pure truths.

the colour of the trustworthy Civaṉ in Karukāvūr where the arabian jasmine which blossoms in the winter spreads its fragrance, is the colour of burning fire. (As campantar mentions the colour of Civaṉ as bright fire, perhaps he had a vision of god in that colour).

those who are able to recite the chaste tamiḻ verses of ñāṉacampantaṉ who is on intimate terms with the long feet of Civaṉ who has songs that are permanent and who is in Karukāvūr where peacocks with their heavy tails move about.
