{$} சந்தம் ஆர் முலையாள் தன கூறனார்
He who has on his half a lady on whose breasts sandal-paste is smeared
[[சந்தம்:சந்தனம் it may also mean beauty; then it means lady with beautiful breasts]]
வெந்த வெண் பொடி ஆடிய மெய்யனார்
has a person which has wallowed in well-burnt sacred white ash.
கந்தம் ஆர் பொழில் சூழ்தரு காழியுள், எந்தையார் அடி என் மனத்துள்ள
the feet of my father who is in Kāḻi surrounded by parks full of fragrance, are always in my mind.

{$} மான் இடம் உடையார்
He has a deer on the left hand.
வளர் செஞ்சடைத், தேன் இடம் கொளும் கொன்றை அம் தாரினார்
He wears on the growing red caṭai a garland of koṉṟai which has honey in it.
கான் இடம் கொளும் தண்வயல் காழியார்
the god in Kāḻi of cool fields which have fragrance in them.
ஊன் இடம் கொண்டு என் உச்சியில் நிற்பர்
will stand on the crown of my head having my body as his dwelling place.

{$} மை கொள் கண்டத்தர்
He has a black neck.
வால் மதிச் சென்னியர்
wears on his head a white crescent
பைகொள் வாள் அரவு ஆட்டும் படிறனார்
is a mischievious person who makes the cruel cobra with a hood, dance
கை கொள் மான் மறியார்
Has in his hand a young deer
கடற் காழியுள், ஐயன் அந்தணர் போற்ற இருக்கும்
the father is seated in Kāḻi proximate to the sea, to be adored by brahmins.

{$} புற்றில் நாகமும் பூளையும் வின்னியும், கற்றைவார்சடை வைத்தவர்
the god who adorns his long collection of caṭai with the cobra living in the anthill, flower of the javanese wool plants, leaves of the indian mesquit.
காழியுள் பொற்றொடியோடு இருந்தவர் பொற்கழல், உற்ற போது உடன் ஏத்தி உணரும்
you feel the golden feet of the god who is in Kāḻi with a lady wearing golden bangles, praising him immediately if any misfortune befalls you.

{$} நலியும் குற்றமும் நம் உடல் நோய் வினை மெலியுமாறு (அது) வேண்டுதிரேல்
if you wish [[for]] the sins which are the cause of the physical ailments and blemishes that afflict the mind, to become weak.
கலி கடிந்த கையார் கடல் காழியுள், அலை கொள் செஞ்சடையார் அடி போற்றும்
people of this world! adore the feet of the god of red catai having water, who is in Kāḻi proximate to the sea where brahmins who have banished poverty and wants by their munificences, live

{$} பெண் ஓர் கூறினர்
God who has as his half a lady
பேயுடன் ஆடுவர்
will dance along with goblins.
பண்ணும் ஏத்து இசை பாடிய வேடத்தர்
god who disguised himself and sang the seven notes praised by the world and musical compositions.
கண்ணும் மூன்று உடையார், கடற்காழியுள் அண்ணல் ஆய அடிகள் சரிதையே
this is the conduct of the eminent deity in Kāḻi proximate to the sea, who has three eyes.

{$} பற்றும் மானும் மழுவும் அழகு உற
when the deer and the battle-axe which the god holds look beautiful.
ஊர் முற்றும் திரிந்து பலி முன்னுவர்
he will think of receiving alms wandering throughout the villages.
கற்றமா நல் மறையவர் காழியுள், பெற்றம் (1) ஏறு (அது) உகந்தார் பெருமையே
these are the greatness of the god who was pleased to ride on the bull in Kāḻi where the good and great brahmins who have learnt the vētams live

{$} எடுத்த வல் அரக்கன் முடி தோள் இற, அடர்த்து உகந்து அருள் செய்தவர் காழியுள் கொடித்தயங்கு நற் கோயிலுள்
in the good temple where the flags are shining in Kāḻi, the god after pressing the strong arakkaṉ who lifted (the mountain) to crush his heads, was pleased to grant his grace.
இன்புற இடத்து மாதொடு தாமும் இருப்பர்
is seated himself with the lady on his left half for the devotees to derive happiness.

{$} காலன் தன் உயிர் வீட்டு கழலடி, மாலும் நான் முகன் தானும் வனப்பு உற, ஓலம் இட்டு முன்தேடி உணர்கிலா
Māl and the four faced god called for succour and searched for the feet in the distant past, which removed the life of the god of death, to make themselves graceful, and could not find them.
சீலம் கொண்டவன் ஊர் திகழ் காழியே
place of the god of good nature is properous Kāḻi

{$} உருவம் நீத்தவர் தாமும் உறுதுவர்தரு வல் ஆடையினாரும் தகவு இலர்
Those who have discarded dress on their bodies (jains) and those who dress in a robe of fast myrtle dye of golden colour are people who have no impartiality or wisdom.
கருமம் வேண்டுதிரேல்
people of this world! if you want to do the proper thing.
கடற்காழியுள் ஒருவன் சேவடியே அடைந்து உய்மின்
save yourselves by taking refuge in the red feet of the peerless god who is in Kāḻi proximate to the sea.

{$} கடல் கானல் வந்து உலவும் காழியுள், ஈனம் இல்லி இணை அடி ஏத்திடும், ஞானசம்பந்தன் சொல்லிய நற்றமிழ்
the good verses composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ who praised the twin feet of the god having no meanness and dwelling in kāḻi where the sea moves about in the sea-shore gardens.
மகிழ்ந்து உரைசெய்ய மானம் ஆக்கும்
if one recites them with joy it will make him great.
