good people will not cherish with love other gods who are not sitting under the shade of the Kallāl tree.

we too would not do so.

{$} கொன்றை சூடி நின்ற தேவை அன்றி ஒன்றும் நன்று இலோமே
we would not consider great any other thing except the god who wears flowers of koṉṟai.

{$} கல்லா நெஞ்சின் நில்லான் ஈசன்
Civaṉ will not stay in the minds of those who do not meditate on him without ceasing.
சொல்லாதாரோடு அல்லோம் நாமே
we will not join the company of those who do not chant his mantiram singing his praises.

{$} கூற்று உதைத்த நீற்றினானைப் போற்றுவார்கள் தோற்றினாரே
those who praise Civaṉ who smears himself with sacred ash and kicked the god of death are really fit to be called having attained the benefit of being born as human beings.

{$} காட்டுள் ஆடும் பாட்டு உளானை நாட்டு உள் ஆரும் தேட்டு உளாரே
those who enjoy establishing Civaṉ in their hearts who dwells in the songs of devotees and who dances in the cremation ground, are really fit to be called wealthy people;

{$} தக்கன் கேள்விப் பொக்கம் தீர்த்த மிக்கதேவர் பக்கத்தோமே
we are very near to the superior Civaṉ who destroyed the falsehood of the sacrifice of takkaṉ.

{$} பெண் ஆண் ஆய விண்ணோர் கோவை நண்ணாதாரை எண்ணோம்நாமே
we will not esteem those who do not approach the chief of the celestials, who has both female and male forms in one body.

{$} தூர்த்தன் வீரம் தீர்த்த கோவை ஆத்தமாக ஏத்தினோமே
we praised as a friend the King who destroyed the valour of the debauchee, Irāvaṇaṉ

we have given up listening to the words of the heretics who are amaṇar of big bodies and tēvar (buddhists who are destined to suffer).
