the place of Civaṉ who was there for the old Vētams to worship his feet in an order, with their requests.
மன்னுமா காவிரி வந்து அடி வருட நல் செந்நெல் ஆர்வள வயல் தென்குடித்திட்டையே
is Teṉkuṭittiṭṭai which has fertile fields where the superior roots of paddy crops are rubbed by the waves of the great Kāviri which has perennial water.

{$} மகரம் ஆடும் கொடி மன்மத வேள்தனை நிகரல் ஆகா நெருப்பு எழ விழித்தான் இடம்
the place of one who opened his frontal eye to issue fire which has no equal, to burn Maṉmatavēl who has a flag in which the shark is waving.

பகரவாள் நித்திலம் பல் மகரத் தொடும் சிகரமாளிகை தொடும் தென் குடித்திட்டையே
is Teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where in the pinnacles of storeys beautiful and brilliant pearls combine with many ornamental hangings representing makara fish (shark)

{$} கருவினால் அன்றியே கரு எலாம் ஆயவன்
Civaṉ became all living beings without the need of an embryo.
உருவினால் அன்றியே உருவுசெய்தான் இடம்
the place of Civaṉ who created all forms without the aid of any form as model.
பருவ நாள் விழவொடும் பாடலோடு ஆடலும் திருவினால் மிகு புகுழ்த் தென்குடித்திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where in the festivals in the five ceremonial days in a month and in the big annual festivals, songs and dances are conducted with pomp and thereby attains fame.
[[The five ceremonial days are - caṅkiramaṇam, eighth and fourteenth titi of the dark half or the 11th titi, the day of the deity, the new moon and the full moon days.]]

{$} உள் நிலாவு ஆவியாய் ஓங்கு தன் தன்மையை விண்ணிலார் அறிகிலா வேத வேதாந்தன் ஊர்
the place of Civaṉ who is spoken in the vētantam of the vētams whose big nature of being the inner life that moves in living beings, could not be known even by the celestials.
எண்ணிலார் எழில் மணிக் கனக மாளிகை இளந்தெண்ணிலா விரிதரும் தென் குடித்திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where the evenings bright moonlight is refleded by golden storeys in which rare set numberless beautiful precious stones.

{$} வருந்தி வானோர்கள் வந்து அடைய மாநஞ்சு தான் அருந்தி ஆரமுது அவர்க்கு அருள்செய்தான் அமரும் ஊர்
the place where Civaṉ who gave the rare nectar to the celestials, himself drinking the great poison, when the celestials came suffering and sought protection by him.
செருந்தி பூ மாதவிப் பந்தர், வண் செண்பகம் திருந்து நீள் வளர் பொழில் தென் குடித் திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where in the thriving, perfect and long gardens are found cerunti, bowers of the brilliant common delight of the woods and perfect champak flowers.

Civaṉ is in the sense of touch.
ஓசையுள் ஒன்றினார்
is one with the sound.
ஒன்றி மால் கூறினார்
has as a portion Māl who is combined with him.
அமர் தரும் குமர வேள் தாதை ஊர்
the place of the father of Kumaraṉ who is loved by him.
பொய் அகத்து ஆறினார்
subdued the desires that wish for unreal things.
ஐ உணர்வு எய்தி மெய் தேறினார்
having obtained the knowledge of the five senses, focussed on god, the real thing.
மெய் தேறினார் வழிபடும் தென்குடித்திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where people who have clearly understood that Civaṉ is the truth, worship him.

{$} கான் அலைக்கும் அவன் கண் இடந்து அப்ப
when the hunter (Kaṇṇappaṉ) who drove hither and thither the beasts in the forest, stuck his eye, having scooped it.
நீள் வான் அலைக்கும் தவத்தேவுவைத்தான் இடம்
the place of Civaṉ who elevated that hunter to the level of celestials by his penance to make them feel jealous about him.
தான் அலைத் தெள் அம் ஊர் தாமரைத் தண்துறை, தேன் அலைக்கும் வயல் தென்குடித்திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai which has fields and the cool ghats which have lotus flowers on which the clear waves of honey flow.

{$} மாலொடும் பொருதிறல் வாள் அரக்கன் நெரிந்து, ஓலிடும் படி விரல் ஒன்றவைத்தான் இடம்
the place of Civaṉ who fixed firmly his toes to make the brilliant arakkaṉ who fought with Māl during his campaign of conquering enemies in the four quarters, to be crushed and to make a roaring noise.
காலொடும் (1) கனக மூக்கு உடன் வரக் கயல் வரால் சேலொடும் பாய் வயல் தென் குடித்திட்டையே
is teṉkuṭittiṭṭai of fields where carp, carnatic carp and murrel coming along with the fish with a golden nose in the channels, leap.

{$} நாரணன் தன்னொடு நான்முகன் தானுமாய்க் காரணன் அடிமுடி காண ஒண்ணான் இடம்
the place of Civaṉ who is the cause of all things and whose head and feet could not be found by Nāraṇaṉ and Nāṉmukaṉ (Piramaṉ) by their united efforts.
ஆரணம் கொண்டு பூசுரர்கள் வந்து அடி தொழச்சீர் அணங்கும் புகழ்த் தென்குடித்திட்டையே
is Teṉkuṭittiṭṭai which has fame and divinity by its greatness as the brahmins worship his feet coming to the temple chanting vētams.

{$} குண்டிகைக் கையுடைக் குண்டரும் புத்தரும்
the low amaṇar who carry in their hands an ascetic`s pitcher, and buddhists.
பண்டு உரைத்தே இடும் பற்று விட்டீர்
Having left attachment to the words of those two, since a long time.
வண்டு இரைக்கும் பொழில் தண்டலைக் கொண்டல் ஆர் தெண்திரைத்தண்புனல் தென்குடித்திட்டையே தொழும்
People of this world! worship teṉkuṭittiṭṭai where in the parks and gardens where bees hum noisily, the clouds rest and has cool water in the clear waves.

{$} தேன் அல் ஆர் சோலை சூழ் தென்குடித்திட்டையை
about Teṉkuṭittiṭṭai surrounded by gardens which have abundant honey, and are full of darkness
கானல் ஆர் கடி பொழில் சூழ்தரும் காழியுள்
is Kāḻi surrounded by fragrant gardens by the sea-shore.
(1) ஞானம் ஆர் ஞானசம்பந்தன செந்தமிழ் பால் நல் ஆர் மொழி வலார்க்கு இல்லை ஆம் பாவமே
there will be sins to those who are able to recite the verses of chaste Tamiḻ which can do good like milk, composed by Ñāṉacampataṉ who had knowledge of Civaṉ.
