அண்ணலார் ஆயிழையாளொடும் அமர்வு இடம்
the place where Civaṉ dwells with desire with a lady who wears choice ornaments.
விண்ணின் மாமழை பொழிந்து இழிய வெள்ளருவிசேர் திண்ணில் ஆர் புறவு அணி திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is Tiru Mutukuṉṟam which is made beautiful by the forest region in the hard earth, which has white streams descending as the clouds rain from the sky.

{$} வெறி உலாம் கொன்றை அம்தாரினான்
the Lord who wears a garland of koṉṟai whose fragrance spreads everywhere.
மேதகு (1) பொறி உலாம் அரவு அசைத்து ஆடி ஓர் புண்ணியன்
who dances tying a cobra which has eminent spots and who is the embodiment of all virtuous acts.
மறி உலாம் கையினான் மங்கையோடு அமர்வு இடம்
who has on his hand a young deer, the place where he dwells with desire with a lady.
செறியுள் ஆர் புறவு அணி திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam which is made beautiful by dense forest tracts.

{$} (1) ஏறினார் விடைமிசை இமையவர் தொழ
the Lord rode on the bull to be worshipped by the celestials who do not wink.
உமைகூறனார்
has on his half Umai.
கொல்புலித்தோலினார்
has a dress of a skin of a tiger that can kill.
மேனிமேல் நீறனார்
smears on his body sacred ash.
நிறை புனல் சடையனார் நிகழ்விடம்
the place where he who has on his caṭai flood of Kaṅkai is present.
தேறல் ஆர் பொழில் அணி திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam made beautiful by gardens where there is abundant honey.

{$} உமையொடும் உரையின் ஆர் உறுபொருள் (1) ஆயினான்
Civaṉ is not only the words but also the meanings contained in those words, being united with Umai. (Umai is in the form of words; Civaṉ is in the form of their meanings)

விரையின் ஆர் கொன்றை சேர் சடையினான் மேவு இடம்
the place which the Lord who wears on his caṭai fragrant koṉṟai desires to stay.
உரையின் ஆர் ஒலி என ஓங்கு முத்தாறு மெய்த்திரையின் ஆர் எறிபுனல் திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam where the river, muttāṟu, which has a sound like the sound of words, throw from its water waves from the bed of the river.

the ways where the lions go with a cruel sound like the thunder to make the male elephants, which trumpet a fearful noise.
வடியவாய் மழுவினன் மங்கையோடு அமர்வு இடம்
the place of the Lord who has a battle-axe of sharp edge, and dwells with a lady.
செடி(அது) ஆர் புறவு அணி திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam made beautiful by the forest tract which has shrubs. (நெறியையுடைய முதுகுன்றம் : is the syntactical link)

Civaṉ has a skin of an elephant that lives in the forest, wet with blood.
பெரியது ஓர் வானம் ஆர் மதியினோடு அரவர்தாம் உமையொடும் மருவு இடம்
the place where he who has a cobra along with a crescent which shines in the extensive sky, is united with Umai.
ஊனம் ஆயின பிணி அவைகெடுத்து
destroying the diseases that cause defects.
தேன் அம் ஆர்பொழில் அணி திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam which is made beautiful by gardens where there is plenty of honey.

to be desired by adult human males, and hunters who speak cruel words.
அஞ்சொலாள் உமையொடும் அமர்வு இடம்
the place where Civaṉ remains with desire with Umai who speaks beautiful words.
அணிகலைச் செஞ்சொலார் பயில்தரும் திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam where the scholars who are well-versed in beautiful arts written a language in its direct primary significance are crowded.

{$} தாரின் ஆர் அமர்தரும் கயிலை நல் மலையினை ஏரின் ஆர் முடி இராவணன் எடுத்தான் இற
Irāvaṇaṉ who has beautiful crowns and who lifted the good mountain, Kayilai on which clouds rest to crackle and split.
வாரின் ஆர் முலையொடும் மன்னினார் மருவு இடம்
the place where Civaṉ dwells permanently with Umai who wears on her breasts a bodice.
சீரின் ஆர் (1) திகழ்தரும் திருமுதுகுன்றமே
is tirumutukuṉṟam which is eminent by its fame.

danced in the cremation ground.
அருமறையின் பொருள் பாடினார்
explained the meaning of the abstruse vētams.

இணைஅடி ஏடின் ஆர் (2) மலர்மிசை அயனும் மால் (உம்) இருவரும் தேடினார் அறிவு ஒணார் திருமுதுகுன்றமே
tirumutukuṉṟam is the place of the god who was not possible to be found out though both Ayaṉ who is seated on a flower with petals and Māl, the two feet and head.

{$} மாசுமெய் தூசுகொண்டு உழல் சமண் சாக்கியர் பேசுமெய் உள அல்ல
the words of the camanar who have bodies full of dirt and cakkiyar who cover their bodies with Civaram do not contain any truth.

devotees who esteem Civaṉ.
வாசம் ஆர் தருபொழில் வண்டினம் (ம்) இவை செயத்தேசம் ஆர் புகழ் மிகும் திருமுதுகுன்றமே காணுமின்
go and visit tirumutukuṉṟam whose fame increases in the country. where the swarm of bees hum like music in the garden full of fragrance.

on Civaṉ in tirumutukuṉṟu which is made beautiful by strong forest tracts.
நண்ணினான் காழியுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன் சொல் (1) எண்ணினான் ஈரைந்து மாலையும் இயலுமாப் பண்ணினால் பாடுவார்க்கில்லை (ஆம்) பாவமே
there will be no sins to those who sing with music according to their ability the ten garlands of verses done by meditating on Civaṉ by ñāṉacampantaṉ of Kaḻi who approached Civaṉ as refuge.
