A note on the shrine: This shrine is about four miles to the North-East of Tirupperumaṇanallūr. This is now known as Kōyilaṭip pāḷayam.

{$} திரை தருபவளமும் சீர் திகழ் வயிரமும் கனவளை (யும்) கரை தரும் அகிலொடு புகுதரும் மயேந்திரப்பள்ளியுள் அழகனை
the beautiful Lord in Mayēntirappaḷḷi where the coral that is brought by the waves, the precious diamond, the heavy chanks, the akil that is washed ashore, enter.

வரைவிலால் எயில்எய்த (அழகன்)
the beautiful Lord who discharged an arrow from the bow which was made of a mountain.
அரவு அரை அழகனை அடிஇனை பணிமின்
you bow to the feet of the beautiful Lord who has tied a serpent round his waist.

{$} கொண்டல் சேர் கோபுரம்
the tower on which cloud rests.
கோலம் ஆர் மாளிகை
mansions full of beauty.
கண்டலும் கைதையும்
plants of water thorn and fragrant screw-pine.
கமலர் ஆர் வாவியும்
tanks full of lotus flowers.
வண்டு உலாம் பொழில் அணி மயேந்திரப் பள்ளியுள்
in Mayentirappalli which is made beautiful by gardens where bees are wandering.
செண்டுசேர்விடையினான்
the Lord who has a bull that can be trained in a place for exercises

திருந்து அடி பணிமின்
bow to his perfect feet.

{$} கோங்கு (ம்) இளவேங்கையும் கொழுமலர்ப் புன்னையும் தேன்தாங்கு கொன்றையும் தகு மலர்க்குரவமும் மாங்கரும்பும் வயல் மயேந்திரப்பள்ளியுள்
in Mayēntirappaḷḷi which has gardens, in which there are Kōṇku, young vēṅkai, East indian Kino tree (punnai) [[புன்னை]] having fertile flowers, koṉṟai with honey, Kuravan (bottle-flower-tree) with beautiful flowers, mango trees and fields where sugar-canes are growing.
ஆங்கு இருந்தவன் கழல் அடியிணை பணிமின்
bow to the feet which wear anklets, of the Lord who is there.

{$} உயர் சேண் ஆர் வங்கம் வருகுறியால் மிகுசங்கம் ஆர்ஒலி
with the sound of conch blown to inform the safe return of ships which went to trade with distant countries

the Lord who has a young lady as his half.
எங்கள் நாயகனது இணைஅடிபணிமின்
bow to the feet of our master.

{$} நித்திலத் தொகை பல நிரைதருமலர் எனச் சித்திரப்புணரிசேர்த்திடத்திகழ்ந்து நல் மயேந்திரப்பள்ளியுள் இருந்தவன்
the Lord who is in the good Mayēntirappaḷḷi shining prominently where the different kinds of waves wash ashore many collections of pearls which resemble rows of flowers.
மைத்திகழ் கண்டன்
one who has a shining black neck.
கைத்தல மழுவனைக் கண்டு அடிபணிமின்
after seeing him who has a maḻu (battle-axe) in his hand bow to his feet.

{$} சந்திரன் கதிரவன் தகுபுகழ் அயனொடு இந்திரன் வழிபட இருந்த எம் இறையவன்
our Lord who was worshipped by the moon, sun, Intiran (the ruler of the celestial world) and Ayaṉ of fame fitting to his greatness.
மந்திரம் மறைவளர் மயேந்திரப்பள்ளியுள் அந்தம் இல் அழகனை அடிபணிந்து உய்ம்மின்
save your selves by bowing to the feet of the Lord of endless beauty who is in Mayēntirappalli where maṟai containing mantiram (mantras) are flourishing.

{$} சடைமுடி முனிவர்கள் சமைவொடும் வழிபடநடம்நவில் புரிவினன்
the Lord who dance gladly, to be worshipped by the sages who arrange their matted locks of hair in the form of a crown, with things collected for worshipping him.
நறவு அணி மலரொடு படர்சடை மதியினன்
he has in his spreading matted locks of hair a crescent and flowers with honey.
மயேந்திரப் பள்ளியுள் அடல்விடை உடையவன் அடிபணிந்து உய்ம்மின்
save yourselves by bowing to the feet of the one who has a strong bull in Mayēntirappaḷḷi.

{$} சிரம் ஒருபுதும் உடைச் செருவலி அரக்கனைக் கரம் இருபதும் இறக்கனவரை அடர்த்தவன்
the Lord who pressed down the ten heads and twenty hands of Arakkaṉ strong enough to give battle, to be smashed, under the great mountain.
மரவு அமர் பூம்பொழில் மயேந்திரப் பள்ளியுள்
is Mayēntirappaḷḷi where in the sea-side gardens indian oak trees are found growing.
அரவு அமர் சடையனை அடிபணிந்து உய்ம்மின்
save yourselves by bowing to the feet of the Lord who has serpents lying on his matted locks of hair.

{$} நாகணைத்துயில்பவன்
one who sleeps on the bed of a serpent.

நலம் மிகு மலரவன்
one who is seated in a beautiful (lotus) flower.
ஆகணைந்தவர்கழல் அணையவும் பெறுகிலர்
were not capable of even reaching the feet of the Lord though they began to search his feet and head, and though they were in the form of the Lord

those who have dispensed with clothes worn round the waist [[jains of the Digambara sect]]
முடைதுவர் உடையரும்
and those who wear robes soaked in myrtle dye, issuing an offensive smell.
படுபழி உடையவர்
have hainous blots.
பகர்வன நீர்விடுமின்
you leave listening to what they say.
மடைவளர் வயல் அணி மயேந்திரப் பள்ளியுள் இடம் உடை ஈசனை இணையடி பணிமின்
Bow to the feet of the master who has chosen as his place Mayēntirapaḷḷi made beautiful by fields which have flourishing small sluices for water to flow into them.

{$} வம்பு உலாம் பொழில் அணி மயேந்திரப் பள்ளியுள் நம்பனார் கழல் அடி
about the feet which wear anklets, of the Lord in Mayēntirappaḷḷi, in whom we can repose confidence, which is adorned by gardens where fragrance is always moving

the verses composed by Ñāṉacampantaṉ.
நம்பரம் இது என நாவினால் நவில்பவர்
those who repeat them often with their tongues (which generally indulge in useless talk) with the idea it is our duty.
உம்பரார் எதிர்கொள உயர்பதி அணைவர்
they will reach the high heaven to be received by the residents of that place.
