{$} வைகலும் மண்ணில் நல்ல வண்ணம் வாழலாம்
one can lead a virtuous life in this world, daily.
எண்ணின் நல்ல கதிக்கு யாதும் ஓர் குறைவு இலை
if we think about it, nothing will be wanting for the final beatitude.
கண்ணின் நல்லஃது உறும்
all things pleasing to the eye will come to us of their own accord.
கழுமல வளநகர்ப் பெண்ணில் நல்லாளொடு பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே

in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam the god who has flowers of Indian laburnan on which bees settle and a matted hair coiled like a crown on which there are flowers having honey, and a frontal eye.
பெண்துணையாக ஓர் பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே

அடைவு இலோம் என்று நீ அயர்வு ஒழி
you leave the anxiety thinking we have no place of refuge!
விடை அமர் கொடியினான்
god who has a flag on which is drawn the figure of a bull.
விண்ணவர் தொழுது எழும் (கழுமலம்)
the city which the celestials worship and then wake up from bed.
கடைஉயர் மாடம் ஆர் கழுமலவளநகர்
in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam which has mansions of tall entrance.
பெடை நடையவளொடும் பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே
is the noble-natured god who was seated with the lady whose gait is like that of the female swan, well?

கற்ற நல்வேதியர் கழுமல வளநகர்

the noble-natured god who begot and admitted me into his grace.
சிற்றிடைப் பேரல்குல் திருந்திழையவளொடும் இருந்ததே
is the who was seated with a lady of small waist, big sides and ornaments of perfect worksmanship, well?

குறைவளைவது மொழி குறைவு ஒழி
leave telling your grievances to others for redress when several blemishes surround you.
நிறைவளை முன்கையாள் நேர் இழையவளொடும்
with a lady wearing ornaments suited to her beauty who has a forearm full of bangles.
கறைவளர் பொழில் அணி கழுமல வளநகர்
in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam which is made beautiful by dark gardens.
பிறைவளர் சடைமுடிப் பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே
is the noble-natured god who has matted hairs coiled into a crown on which the crescent whose surface increases in size progressively, well?

{$} அருவரை எடுத்தவன் அரக்கனார் அலறிட
when the arakkaṉ who lifted the sacred mountain cried aloud from sorrow.
விரலினால் நெருக்கினார்
God squeezed him with his toe
நீடுயாழ்பாடவே
when he played upon the long yāḻ melodies.
கருக்குவாள் அருள் செய்தான்
he granted him a sharp sword

கடிகமழ் பொழில் அணி கழுமல வளநகர்
in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam which is beautiful by gardens spreading fragrance
பிடிநடையவளொடும் பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே
is the noble-natured god who was seated with a lady whose gait can be compared to that of the female elephant, well?

தார் உறு தட்டு உடைச்சமணர் சாக்கியர்கள் தம் ஆர் உறு சொல் களைந்து அடி இணைஅடைந்துய்ம்மின்
save yourselves by reaching the feet of the god, weeding out as useless the sharp pointed words of cakkiyar (buddhists) and camanar who wear mats tying them with cords.
கார் உறு பொழில்வளர் கழுமல வளநகர்
in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam where gardens are as cool as clouds, thrive.
பேர் அறத்தாளொடும் பெருந்தகை இருந்ததே
is the noble-natured god who is in company with the lady who performed big charitable deeds, well?
கருத்தடம் தேன் மல்கு கழுமல வளநகர்ப் பெருந்தடங்கொங்கையோடு இருந்த எம்பிரான்தனை
on our Lord who was in the company of the lady who has big abd broad breasts, in the fertile city of Kaḻumalam where tanks of black mire and honey are on the increase.
அருந்தமிழ் ஞானசம்பந்தன செந்தமிழ்
the verses of chaste Tamiḻ composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ of rare knowledge of Tamiḻ.
விரும்புவார் அவர்கள் போய் விண்உலகு ஆள்வர்
those who recite with desire these, will go to heaven after life in this world, and rule there.
