{$} குரவு அமர் (1) சுரபுனை கோங்கு வேங்கைகள் விரவிய பொழில் அணி விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai which is beautified by gardens having bottle-flower trees, long-leaved two-sepalled gamboge, common caung and east indian Kino trees which are mixed.
மரு அமர் குழல் உமை பங்கர்
Civaṉ who has Umai who tucks in her tresses of hair southern wood
வார் சடை அரவு அமர் கொள்கை எம் அடிகள் கோயில் ஆம்
is the temple of our god who likes to keep a cobra on his long caṭai

{$} கோதனம் வழிபடக் குலவும் நான் மறை வேதியர் தொழுது எழு விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai which the brahmins who have learnt the four Vētam-s worship and rise from sleep, and which is famous as the bull (iṭapatāvar) worshipped Civaṉ here.
[[As cows are considered as wealth they are called கோதனம்;
கோதனம் here refers to the bull, the mount of Civaṉ]]

கீதம் முன் இசை தரக் கிளரும் வீணையர்
Civaṉ has a vīṇai to play songs on it.
பூதம் முன் இயல் புடைப் புனிதர் பொன்னகர்
is the beautiful temple of the spotless god on whose sides the putams surrounded him.

{$} தக்க நல் வானவர் தலைவர் நாள்தொறும் மிக்கவர் தொழுது எழு விசயமங்கை
vicaymankai which the good and worthy celestials, intiraṉ, Piramaṉ and Māl who are the chiefs, and devotees who are superior to them, worship and rise from sleep.
அக்கு அரவு அரையினர்
Civaṉ who wears chank beads and cobra in the waist.
அரிவை பாகமா
the lady being on one half.
தொக்க 1. நல்விடையுடைச் சோதி தொல் நகர்
is the ancient temple of the effulgent light who has a bull of good and accumulated strength

{$} படை மலி மழுவினர்
Civaṉ who has a strong weapon of a battle-axe.
மூரி வெள் விடை மலி கொடி அணல் விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai of the chief who has on his banner a white, strong and proud bull of greenish eyes.
தொடைமலி இதழியும் துன் எருக்கொடு புடைமலி சடைமுடி அடிகள் பொன்னகர்
is the beautiful temple of the god who has on his caṭai coiled into a crown, a garland of profuse koṉṟai flowers and dense yarcum flowers, on one side. (அண்ணல் has become அணல்; ண் being dropped for metre).

{$} காடு அமர் மாகரி கதறப் போர்த்தது ஓர் வேடம் அது உடை அணல் விசயமங்கையே
Vicayamaṅkai belonging to Civaṉ who has a body covered with the skin he flayed from the big elephant of the forest to make it roar out of pain.
தோடு அமர் காதினன்
who has a ear in which woman's ear-ring is worn
துதைந்த நீற்றினன்
besmeared thickly with holy ash
ஏடு அமர் கோதையோடு இனிது அமர்வு இடம்
is the place where he stays with pleasure along with a lady who is as graceful as a garland which has flowers of petals

{$} அப்பொடு மலர்கொடு அங்கு இறைஞ்சி வானவர் மெய்ப்பட அருள்புரி விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai where god Civaṉ grants his grace to the celestials who worship him with water to bathe, and flowers and are in sincere meditation.
மைப்புரை கண் உமை பங்கன்
one who has Umai having eyes as beautiful as blue nelumbo flowers, on one half
வண் தழல் ஒப்பு உரை மேனி எம் உடையவன் நகர்
is the place of our master who has a form as red as burning fire.

{$} சுரும்பு அமர் கொன்றையும் தூய மத்தமும் விரும்பிய சடை அண்ணல் விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai of Civaṉ who desired on his catai koṉṟai desired by bees, and flawless dhatura flowers.
இரும் பொனின்மலை விலின் எரி சரத்தினால் வரும் புரங்கனைப் பொடி செய்த மைந்தன் ஊர்
is the place of the strong god who reduced to dust the cities that came against him, an arrow spitting fire, fired in the bow which is the big golden mountain (meru)

{$} 1. உளங்கைய இருபதோடு ஒருபதும் கொடு ஆங்கு அளந்து அரும் வரை எடுத்திடும் அரக்கனைத்தளர்ந்து உடல் நெரிதர அடர்த்த தன்மையன்
the place of Civaṉ who pressed down the arakkaṉ who lifted the great mountain counting the strength of his twenty hands with twenty palms and ten heads, to make his body to become enfeebled and crushed
விளங்கிழையொடும் புகும் விசயமங்கை
is Vicayamaṅkai where he enters with a lady wearing shining ornaments

{$} தண் நறுஞ் சாந்தமும் பூவும் நீர் கொடு விண்ணவர் தொழுது எழு விசயமங்கை
Vicayamaṅkai which the residents of heaven worship with cool and fragrant sandal-wood paste, flowers and water
மண்ணினை உண்டவன் மலரின்மேல் உறை அண்ணல்கள் தமக்கு அளப்பு அரிய அத்தன் ஊர்
is the place of the father who could not be measured by both Māl who swallowed the earth, and the chief who resides on a (lotus) flower (Piramaṉ)
{3:17}__10+
{$} கஞ்சியும் கவளம் (உம்) உண் கவணர் கட்டுரை நஞ்சினும் கொடியன
the fabricated falsehood of the jains who drink Kanci and buddhists who eat mouthful of food and who are opposed by nature to Civaṉ, are more cruel than poison.
நமர்கள் தேர்கிலார்
our devotees will not heed those
விஞ்சையர் தொழுது எழு விசயமங்கை, செஞ்சடை முடியுடைத் தேவன் நன்னகர்
Vicayamaṅkai which is worshipped by viñcayar (one of the eighteen groups of tēvar) is the beautiful city of the god who has red caṭai coiled into the form of a crown.

{$} விண்ணவர் தொழுது எழு விசயமங்கையை நண்ணிய புகலியுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன்
ñāṉacampantaṉ who reached Vicayamaṅkai which is worshipped by the tēvars in heaven.
பண்ணிய செந்தமிழ் பத்தும் வல்லவர்
those who are able to recite the chaste Tamiḻ verses composed (by him)
புண்ணியர்
are virtuous people
சிவகதிபுகுதல் திண்ணம்
it is definite that they will attain salvation
