{$} மின் உலாவிய சடையினர் விடையினர்
Civaṉ has a caṭai which is spread over his head like the lightning; has a bull.
மிளிர் தரும் அரவோடும் பன் உலாவிய மறை ஒலி நாவினர்
has a shining cobra; chants with his tongue with proper accent vētam which is fit for research.
கறை அணி கண்டத்தர்
has a neck which is made beautiful by the poison.
பொன் உலாவிய கொன்றை அந்தாரினர்
wears garlands of koṉṟai which is like gold in colour.
புகழ் மிகு கீழ் வேளூர் உன் உலாவிய சிந்தையர் மேல் வினை ஓடிய வீடு ஆம்
as the Karmams of those who meditate upon Kilvēḷūr of increasing fame, one can attain liberation from birth and death.

{$} நீர் உலாவிய சடையிடை அரவொடு மதி சிர நிரைமாலை
in the matted locks where water is moving there are cobras, a crescent and garlands of rows of skull.
வார் உலாவிய வனம் முலையவளொடு மணி சிலம்பு அவை ஆர்க்க
the anklets into which precious stone are put to make sound, make a big sound, along with the lady who wears a bodice on her beautiful breasts.
ஏர் உலாவிய இறைவனது உறைவிடம்
The abode of the god who is beautiful.
எழில் திகழ் கீழ்வேளூர் சீர் உலாவிய சிந்தை செய்து அணைபவர் பிணியொடு வினைபோம்
the diseases and the Karmams of those who approach fixing their the toughts of their good mind on Kilvēḷvūr whose beauty is eminent, will go away from them.

{$} வெண்ணிலா மிகு விரிசடை அரவெடு வெள்ளெருக்கு அலர் மத்தம் பண் நிலாவிய பாடலொடு ஆடலர் பயில் வுறு கீழ்வேளூர்
in Kīḻvēḷūr where Civaṉ dances and sings songs with melody-types, and has on his loosened caṭai the white crescent, a cobra, the flower of white yarcum and datura flowers.
பெண் நிலாவிய பாகனை
who has a half in which a lady stays.
பெருந்திருக் கோயில் எம் பெருமானை உள் நிலாவிய நின்று உள்கிய சிந்தையார் உலகினில் உள்ளாரே
those who fix their thoughts thinking always of our god who dwells in the big and beautiful temple are considered to dwell in Civalōkam though they are living in this world; there is no doubt about that. (This is one of the seventy temples built by Kōcceṅkaṭ coḻaṉ)

{$} சேடு உலாகிய கங்கையைச் சடையிடைத் தொங்க வைத்து
to make the great Kaṅkai to hang down in the caṭai (சேடு greatness.)
அழகாக நாடு உலாவிய பலி கொளும் நாதனார்
the masters who receives alms wandering beautifully in the country.
நலம் மிகு கீழ் வேளூர்ப் பீடு உலாவிய பெருமையர்
has greatness and strength in Kīḻvēḷūr where good things are always on the increase.
பெருந்திருக்கோயிலுள் பிரியாது
without leaving the big and beautiful temple.
நீடு உலாவிய நிமலனைப் பணிபவர் நிலை மிகப் பெறுவாரே
those who pay obeisance to the spotless god who has been there since time immemorial will attain blise which is eternal.

{$} மன்று உலாவிய மாதவர் இனிது இயல் மணம் மிகு கீழ்வேளூர்
in Kīlvēlūr which has increasing fragrance where the great ascetics who go about in the assembly hall where they walk about gaily.
துன்றுவார் சடைச் சுடர்மதி நகுதலை, மணி வடம் சரமாலை நின்று நீடிய பெருந்திருக்கோயில் நிமலனை
the spotless god who stayed since a long time in the big and beautiful temple, having borne on the long and thick caṭai a brilliant crescent, a laughing skull, a rosary of Urittirākkam and a string of skulls. (கீழ்வேளூரில், மதி, தலை, மணிவடம், சிரமாலை, அணிந்த, நீடிய நிமலனை is the syntactical link)
நீனைவோடும் சென்று உலாவி நின்று ஏத்தவல்லார் வினைதேய்வது தி(ண்)ணம் ஆம்
It is certain that the Karmams of those who go to the temple in a procession with the intention of worshipping and praise Civaṉ for a long time, will become weak gradually.

(People of this world!) praise.
கொத்து உலாவிய குழல்திகழ் சடையனை
Civaṉ who has a curly caṭai on which bunches of flowers are spread over.
கூத்தனை
and the dancer.
மகிழ்ந்து உள்கி
thinking with joy.
தொத்து உலாவிய நூல் அணி மார்பினர் தொழுது எழு கீழ்வேளூர்
in Kīḻvēḷūr where brahmins who wear on their chest three strands of sacred thread which are moving.
பித்து உலாவிய பத்தர்கள் பேணிய பெருந்திருக்கோயில் மன்னும் முத்து உலாவிய வித்தினை
the seed which is the pearl, and which stays permanently in the big and wealthy temple loved by pious devotees who have excessive zeal towards Civaṉ.
முடுகிய இடர் போம்
the sufferings which hastened to reach you will go away from you.

{$} பிறை நிலாவிய சடையிடைப் பின்னிலும்
plaiting of the caṭai on which the crescent is conspicuous.
வன்னியும் ஆரும் (துன்)
the leaves of indian mesquit and holy mountain ebony are crowded.
கறை நிலாவிய கண்டர் எண்தோளினர்
Civaṉ has a neck in which the poison is eminent, and has eight shoulders.
காதல் செய் கீழ்வேளூர்
in Kīḻvēḷūr desired by him.
மறை 1. நிலாவிய அந்தணர் மலிதரு பெருந்திருக்கோயில் மன்னும் நிறை 2. நிலாவிய ஈசனை
Civaṉ who pervades every-where and who is permanent in the big and beautiful temple where brahmins who retain in their memory the vētams, are crowded.
நேசத்தால் நினைபவர் வினைபோம்
the Karmams of those who cherish with love, will go away from them.

{$} மலை நிலாவிய மைந்தன்
the strong god, Civaṉ, who is eminent in the mountain, Kayilai.
அம்மலையினை எடுத்தலும் அரக்கன் தன் தலை எலாம் நெரிந்து அலறிட ஊன்றினான் உறை தரு கீழ்வேளூர்
in Kīḻvēḷūr where the god fixed firmly his toe, all the ten heads of the arakkaṉ who lifted that mountain to be crushed, and make him roar.
கலை நிலாவிய நாவினர் காதல் செய் பெருந்திருக் கோயிலுள் நிலை நிலாவிய ஈசனை
Civaṉ who stays as his abode in the big and beautiful temple which is desired by people who have learnt all the arts by note.
நேசத்தால் நினைய வல்வினைபோம்
the irresistible Karmams will leave those who think of him with love.

{$} மஞ்சு உலாவிய கடற் கிடந்தானொடு மலரவன் காண்பு ஒண்ணாப் பஞ்சு உலாவிய மெல்லடிப் பார்ப்பதி பாகனை
Civaṉ who has pārppati whose soft feet are dyed with the paste prepared from red cotton, and who could not be seen by Piramaṉ seated in the lotus flower along with Māl who is sleeping in the ocean where clouds move about.
பரிவொடும் செஞ்சொலார் பலர் பரவிய தொல் புகழ் மல்கிய கீழ்வேளூர் நஞ்சு உலாவிய கண்டனை நணுகுமின்
(People of this world!) approach Civaṉ in whose neck the poison moves about and who is in Kīḻvēḷūr of increasing ancient fame which is praised by many people who speak words used in their primary significance, with piety.
நிடலைகள் நணுகாவே
sufferings will not come near you.

{$} சீறு உலாவிய தலையினர் நிலையலா அமணர்கள் 1. சீவரார் வீறு இலாத வெஞ்சொற் பல விரும்பன் மின்
(People of this world!) Do not wish to hear the many cruel words which have no distinctive excellence, of the buddhists who clothe themselves in Cīvaram and amaṇar who have no fixed minds and who pluck the hairs on their heads with anger. (this act is known as ulōccu).
ஏறு உலாவிய கொடியனை
Civaṉ who has a flag on which is drawn the figure of a bull.
ஏதம் இல் பெருந்திருக் கோயில் மன்னு பேறு உலாவிய பெருமையன் திருவடி பேணுமின்
(People of this world!) cherish with love the holy feet of the great god who is the cause of eternal happiness and who stays permanently in the big and beautiful temple without defects.
தவம் ஆம்
that itself is penance.

{$} இருண்ட மேதியின் இனம் மிகு வயல் மல்கு புகலி மன் சம்பந்தன்
campantaṉ, the chief of the people of pukali where fields in which herds of jet-black buffaloes are crowded, are increasing in their produce.
குருண்ட வார் குழற் சடையுடைக் குழகனை
about the youth who has long curly hairs in the matted locks.
அழகு அமர் கீழ் வேளூர்த்திரண்ட மா மறையவர் தொழும் பெருந்திருக்கோயில் எம் பெருமானை
and the great god who dwells in the big and beautiful temple in beautiful Kīḻvēḷūr where brahmins who crowd in large number for worship.
தெருண்டபாடல் வல்லார் அவர் சிவகதிபெறுவது திடம் ஆம்
those who are able to sing the song composed with clarity, will attain eternal bliss; it is certain.
