the place of Civaṉ who has the long (Kayilai) mountain where the pearls which are pressed hard shed in a line.

is the famous ārūr which is beautiful and cool and where the flags of the mansions having tall storeys which are surrounded by dark gardens, reach the region of the sun.

the place where Civaṉ who comforts those who worship him bowing their heads falling at his feet, saying `do not fear anything' stays permanently.
பஞ்சு ஆரும் மெல்லடிப் பணைத்த கொங்கை நுண் இடை அம் சொலார்கள் அரங்கு அடுக்கும் அம் தண் ஆரூர் என்பதே
is the famous ārūr where ladies who speak sweet words and have a minute waist, big breasts and sodt feet dyed with a paste prepared from red-cotton flowers; reach the stage and dance.

Civaṉ wears a crescent as white as the conch.

the place where our primordial god is moving in the minds of those who meditate on him.
தெங்கு உலாவு சோலை நீடு தேன் உலாவு செண்பகம் அங்கு உலாவி அண்டம் நாறும் அம்தண் ஆரூர் என்பதே
is the famous, cool and beautiful ārūr from where the fragrance spreading from the champak in which honey spreads and which grows tall in the cocoanut groves; moves and enters into the heaven.

giving up the cunning thoughts in the guileful heart.

the place which Civaṉ who dwells in the hearts of those who meditate on him concentrating their minds with ardent desire, desires as his favourite resort.

காமனை மங்கு வெங்கணால் விழித்த மங்கை பங்கன் மன்னும் ஊர்
the place where Civaṉ who has a young lady on his half and who opened his hot frontal eye to destroy Kāmaṉ (cupid).
தெங்கினூடு போகி
passing between the cocoanut trees.
வாழைகொத்து இறுத்து
breacking off the cluster of fruits in the plantians.
மாவின் மேல் அம்கண் மந்தி முந்தி ஏறும் அம்தண் ஆரூர் என்பதே
is the famous ārūr cool and beautiful, where female money with beautiful eyes climbs up the mango-tree overtaking all others.

நிரைத்த மாளிகைத் திருவின் நேரனார்கள்; வெண்ணகை அரத்தவாய் மடந்தை மார்கள் ஆடும் ஆரூர் என்பதே
is ārūr where in the mansions which are built in a row, ladies who are as beautiful as the goddess of wealth and who have white teeth and red lips perform dance.

the place where Civaṉ, the god, who could not be measured by Piramaṉ who sat on a lotus flower, by flying in the sky and mal who slept by digging the earth, even though they became physically emaciated, rejoiced to dwell.

வேலை நஞ்சும் உண்ட கண்டன்
the warrior who drank the poison of the ocean.
மேவும் ஊர்
the place where he dwells with desire.
மறித்து மண்டு வண்டல் வாரி மிண்டு நீர் வயற் செ(ந்) நெல் அறுத்தவாய் அசும்பு பாயும் அம்தண் ஆரூர் என்பதே
is the famous ārūr, beautiful and cool, where in the fields which are full of water which carries in a sweep excessive silt stopping it from flowing with the water of the channel, water oozes out from the stem of the red variety of superior paddy harvested with the sickle.

on Civaṉ who is the cause of all things and who is in cool and beautiful Ārūr where the goddess of wealth who is golden in colour, stays with desire, and where in the gardens creepers and mango-trees grow tall have been in the streets for a very long time.
