{$} தேவா! பெரியோனே
God! the great one!
சிறியோம் பிழையைப் பொறுப்பாய்
you will forgive mistakes committed by us who are small persons.
ஆவா என்று அங்கு அடியார் தங்கட்கு அருள் செய்வாய்
you will bestow your grace on your devotees taking pity on them, thinking, Alas! what will be their fate if we do not grant them our grace
ஓவா உவரி கொள்ள உயர்ந்தாய் என்று ஏத்தி மூவாமுனிவர் வணங்கும் கோயில் முதுகுன்றே
mutukuṉṟu is the temple which the sages who do not become old, praise, saying you rose above when the sea which never ceased roaring enveloped the world.

{$} எந்தை இவன் என்று இரவிமுதலா இறைஞ்சுவார் சிந்தையுள்ளே கோயிலாத் திகழ்வானை
Civaṉ who dwells eminently as his temple in the minds of those beginning from the sun, who pay homage to him saying he is our father
மந்தி ஏறி இனமாமலர்கள் பல கொண்டு
the female monkeys with many big kinds of flowers gathered by climbing on the trees.
முந்தித்தொழுது வணங்கும் கோயில் முதுகுன்றே
mutukuṉṟam is the temple where they worship god even preceding human beings.

{$} நீடுமலரும் புனலும் கொண்டு நிரந்தரம் தேடும் அடியார் சிந்தையுள்ளே திகழ்வானை
Civaṉ who dwells eminently in the minds of devotees who seek him always with abundance of flowers and water.
பாடும் குயிலின் அயலே கிள்ளை பயின்று ஏத்த
the parrots to practisepraising by the side of the indian cuckoo which is singing.
மூடும் சோலை முகில் தோய் கோயில் முதுகுன்றே
mutukuṉṟu is the temple which has gardens which cover it, on which the clouds settle.

{$} தெரிந்த அடியார் சிவனே' என்று திசை தோறும் குருந்த மலரும் குரவின் அலரும் கொண்டு ஏந்தி
discerning devotees uttering the name Civaṉ holding in their hands flowers of wild lime trees and flowers of bottle-flower trees in every direction.
இருந்தும் நின்றும் இரவும் பகலும் ஏத்தும் சீர், முரிந்து மேகம் தவழும் சோலை முதுகுன்றே
mutukuṉṟu is the shrine which has gardens on which clouds crawls bending themselves and which has the greatness of being praised by them night and day sitting and standing.

{$} வைத்தநிதியே! மணியே! என்று வருந்தித்தம் சித்தம் நைந்து சிவனே' என்பார் சிந்தையார்
the Lord who dwells in the minds of those who utter the name Civaṉ their minds fainting and repenting for the time wasted in not worshipping Civaṉ by saying our treasure-trove! gem
கொத்து ஆர் சந்தும் குரவும் வாரிக் கொணர்ந்து உந்து முத்தாறு உடைய முதல்வர் கோயில் முதுகுன்றே
mutukuṉṟu is the temples of the superior god who has the river, muttāṟu, which takes in a swoop sandal-wood which has bunches of flowers and common bottle-flower trees and pushes them.

{$} வம்பு ஆர் கொன்றை வன்னி மத்தமலர்தூவி
scattering fragrant flowers of koṉṟai, leaves of indian mesquit and datura flowers.
நம்பர்' என்ன நல்கும் பெருமான் உறைகோயில்
the temple where the Lord who grants to those who utter nampaṉ' what they desire.
கொம்பு ஆர் குரவு
the common bottle flower tree which has branches.

a variety of mullai known as Kokutimullai'

{$} வாசம் கமழும் பொழில் சூழ் இலங்கை வாழ்வேந்தை நாசம் செய்த நங்கள் பெருமான் அமர்கோயில்
the temple where the god who destroyed the valour of the King of ilankai surrounded by gardens from which fragrance spreads, dwells with desire.
பூசை செய்து அடியார் நின்று புகழ்ந்து ஏத்த
the devotees when doing pūcai praise him recounting his fame being stead fast.
(1) மூசிவண்டு பாடும் சோலை முதுகுன்றே
is mutukuṉṟu which has gardens in which the bees swarm and hum.

{$} அல்லி மலர்மேல் அயனும் அரவின் அணையானும்
Ayaṉ who is seated on a lotus of inner petals and Māl who reclines on a bed of a serpent.
சொல்லிப் பரவித் தொடர ஒண்ணாச் சோதிஊர்
the place of the light divine who could not be found out by praising, uttering his names.
கொல்லை வேடர் கூடி நின்று கும்பிட
the hunters in the forest region join together and worship being steadfast in their devotion.
முல்லை அயலே முறுவல் செய்யும் முதுகுன்றே
is mutukuṉṟu where near that place the arabian jasmine blossoms as if it is smiling.

{$} கருகும் உடலார்
amanar who have a black body due to accumulated dirt and not bathing,
[[கார் அமண் கலிங்கத்துவர் ஆடையர் (campantar, tiruvōttur, 10)]]
கஞ்சி உண்டு கடுவே தின்று
drinking gruel (Kañci)and eating gall-nut powder.
உருகு சிந்தை இல்லார்க்கு அயலான் உறைகோயில்
the temple of Civaṉ who is a stranger to those people whose hearts do not melt.
திருகல் வேய்கள் சிறிதே வளையச் சிறுமந்தி, முருகின் பனைமேல் இருந்து நடம்செய் முதுகுன்றே
is mutukuṉṟu where as the crooked bamboos bend a little and the small female monkeys sit on the branch of the eagle-wood tree and dance.

{$} அறை ஆர் கடல் சூழ் அந்தண் காழிச்சம்பந்தன்
campantaṉ who is a native of beautiful and cool Kaḻi surrounded by roaring sea.
முறையால் முனிவர் வணங்கும் கோயில் முதுகுன்றை
about the shrine of mutukuṉṟu which the sages pay homage to according to the rules of the vētams and ākamams.
குறையாப் பனுவல் கூடிப்பாட வல்லார்கள்
those who are able to sing in a chorus the work without any deficiency.
பிறை ஆர் சடை எம் பெருமான் கழல்கள் பிரியாரே
will not leave the feet of our Lord who has a crescent on his caṭai and will enjoy eternal bliss.
