{$} சிந்தை இடையார்
Civaṉ is in my thought.
தலையின் மிசையார்
he is on my head.
செஞ்சொல்லார்
is in my words spoken in their direct primary significance.
மாலை வைகும் போழ்து வந்து என் மனத்து உள்ளார்
when the evening passes he comes and stays in my mind,
மைந்தர் மணாளர் என்ன மகிழ்வார் ஊர் (போலும்) பைந்தண் மாதவி சோலை சூழ்ந்த பாசூரே
pācūr which is surrounded by gardens, in which the common delight of the wood which is cool and evergreen grows luxuriantly is the place of Civaṉ who rejoices in being praised as the strong youth! the bridegroom of Umai!

{$} பேரும் பொழுதும் பெயரும் பொழுதும் பெம்மான் என்று ஆரும் தனையும் அடியார் ஏத்த அருள் செய்வார்
Civaṉ grants his grace when his devotees praised him to the full satisfaction of their minds as the god of greatness, at both times when they move from their places and return to them.
ஊரும் அரவம் உடையார் வாழும் ஊர் (போலும்) பாரின் மிசையார் பாடல் ஓவாப் பாசூரே
pācūr is the place where Civaṉ who has a crawling cobra, dwells and where the songs of the people of this world do not cease.

{$} கையால் தொழுது தலை சாய்த்து உள்ளம் கசிவார்கள் மெய் ஆர் குறையும் துயரும் தீர்க்கும் (1) விகிர்தனர்
Civaṉ is different from the world and removes the mental sufferings and bodily defects of those whose hearts melt, and who worship him with joined hands and bow their heads in reverence.
நெய் (2) அஞ்சு ஆடுதல் உடையார்
bathes in the five products of the cow beginning from ghee
நிலாவும் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place where he stays
பைவாய் நாகம் கோடல் ஈனும் பாசூரே
is pācūr where the white species of malabar glory lily put forth flowers resembling the cobra's hood.

{$} பொங்கு ஆடு அரவும் புனலும் சடைமேல் பொலிவு எய்தக் கொங்கு ஆர் கொன்றை சூடி என் உள்ளம் குளிர் வித்தார்
Civaṉ made my heart completely satisfied wearing fragrant koṉṟai and the angry, dancing cobra and water to shine on the caṭai.
தம் காதலியும் தாமும் வாழும் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place where Civaṉ and his wife dwell.
பைங்கால் முல்லை பல் அரும்பு ஈனும் பாசூரே
is pācūr where the fertile creeper of arabian jasmine puts forth buds like teeth.

{$} ஆடல் புரியும் ஐவாய் அரவு ஒன்று அரைச் சாத்தும் சேடச் செல்வர்
the wealthy god who ties a dancing cobra of five hoods.
சிந்தையுள் என்றும் பிரியாதார்
never leaves the thoughts of his devotees.
வாடல் தலையில் பலிதேர் கையர் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place of the god who goes receiving alms in the dried skull.
பாடல் குயில்கள் பயில் பூஞ்சோலைப் பாசூரே
is pācūr which has flower-gardens in which the indian cuckoos which sing sweetly are crowded.

{$} கால் நின்று அதிர
the feet to resound as drum in dancing.
கனல் வாய் நாகம் கச்சாகத் தோல் ஒன்று உடையார்
Civaṉ has a skin and a cobra with the vehemence of its poison, as a belt.

தம்மைத் தொழுவார்கள் மால்கொண்டு ஓட மையல் தீர்ப்பார் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place of the god who removes the infatuation of love of those who worship him [...] run away with desire,
பால் வெண்மதி தோய் மாடம் சூழ்ந்த பாசூரே
is pācūr surrounded by storeys on which the white moon as white as milk seems to come into contact.

{$} கண்ணின் அயலே கண் ஒன்று உடையார்
Civaṉ has one frontal eye by the side of the eyes in the face.
கழல் உன்னி எண்ணும் தனையும் அடியார் ஏத்த அருள் செய்வார்
will grant his grace when his devotees praise him as long as they meditate on him, thinking of his feet.

the place of Civaṉ who grants joy for the heart to melt always

{$} தேசு குன்றாத் தெண்ணீர் இலங்கைக் கோமானைக் கூடிச் அடர்த்துக் கூர்வாள் கொடுப்பார்
Civaṉ gave a sharp sword having made the King of ilaṅkai surrounded by ocean and whose lustre did not decrease, feel ashamed, by pressing him down.
தம்மையே பேசிப் பிதற்றப் பெருமை தருவார் ஊர் (போலும்) பாசித் தடமும் வயலும் சூழ்ந்த பாசூரே
pācūr which is surrounded by tanks having moss, and fields is the place of the god who grants greatness on those who speak about Civaṉ only and none others.

{$} நகுவாய் மலர்மேல் அயனும் நாகத்து அணையானும் புகுவாய அறியார் புறம்நின்று ஒரார் போற்று ஓவார்
Ayaṉ who is seated on a (lotus) flower with its petals unfolded and Māl who is lying on a serpent did not know the place where they could enter to have a vision of Civaṉ, do not know him standing outside his grace, praise him without ceasing.
செகுவாய் உகுபல் தலை சேர் கையார் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place of Civaṉ who has in his hand a dead skull from which the teeth have fallen.
பகுவாய் நாரை ஆரல் வாரும் பாசூரே
is pācūr where the cranes of wide open mouth take in a swoop brownish sand

{$} தூய வெயில் நின்று உழல்வார் துவர் தோய் ஆடையார்
the camaṇar who wander standing in the bright sunshine and the buddhists who wear a robe soaked in red-ochre.
நாவில் வெய்ய சொல்லித் திரிவார்
will be wandering speaking cruel words with their tongues.
நயம் இயலார்
have no moral conduct.
காவல் வேவக் கணை நன்று எய்தார் ஊர் (போலும்)
the place of Civaṉ who shot an arrow on the forts to make them burn.
பாவைக் குரவம் பயில் பூஞ் சோலைப் பாசூரே
pācūr which has beautiful gardens which has bottle-flower tree with blossoms like dolls.

{$} ஞானம் உணர்வான் காழி ஞானசம்பந்தன் தேனும் வண்டும் இன்னிசை பாடும் திருப்பாசூர்க் கானம் உறைவார் கழல் சேர் பாடல் இவை வல்லார்
those who are capable of singing these verses praising the feet of Civaṉ who dwells in the jungle of tiruppācūr where tēṉ and bees hum like sweet music, by ñāṉacampantaṉ who is a native of Kāḻi and who realised in himself knowledge of Civaṉ.
ஊனம் இலராய்
without any defect.
உம்பர் வானத்து (1) உறைவாறே
will dwell in the heaven where celestials live.
