{$} நலம் கொள்முத்தும் மணியும் அணியும் திரள் ஓதக் கலங்கள் தன்னின் கொண்டு கரைசேர் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the ships that sail on the accumulated waves, reach the shore with beautiful pearls, other precious stones and ornaments.
வலம் கொள் மழு ஒன்று உடையாய்
one who possesses a victorious battle axe!
விடையாய் என ஏந்தி
praising one who has a bull'
அருநோய்
the diseases of birth which cannot be cured by other means.
அடையா, அலங்கல் சூட்ட வல்லார்க்கு
will not reach those who can adorn the God with garlands.

{$} ஊர்ஆர் உவரிச் சங்கம் வங்கம் கொண்டு
Having been brought by the ships the conches of the sea which move slowly.
கார் ஆர் ஓதம்
the waves of the sea from which clouds draw their water.
கரைமேல் உயர்த்தும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where they are heaped to a great height on the shore.
நீர்ஆர் சடையாய் நெற்றிக்கண்ணா என்று என்று பேர் ஆயிரமும் பிதற்றத் தீரும் பிணி (தானே)
all disease will be removed if one bables all the thousand names without ceasing, praising the god as, ``one who has on his caṭai water! one who has a frontal eye!''

{$} வடிகொள் பொழிலின் மழலை வரிவண்டு இசை செய்ய
when the tender bees with lines on their bodies hum like music in the gardens which are maintained in perfect condition.
கடி கொள் போதில் தென்றல் அணையும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the balmy southern breeze comes in contact with the buds of fragrance just before they unfold their petals.
முடிகொள் சடையாய்! முதல்வா என்று முயன்று ஏத்தி
Having praised with the aid of their virtue done in previous births the god as one who has dressed the caṭai as a crown! the first cause! (the origin of all things!)
அடிகை தொழுவார்க்கு அல்லல் அவலம் இல்லை
there will be no anxiety and suffering for those who worship his feet with their hands.

{$} மனைக்கே ஏற
to enter into the houses.
வளஞ்செய் பவளம் வளர் முத்தம் கனைக்கும் கடலுள் ஓதம் ஏறும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāli of great bustle where the waves of the roaring sea rise to push the mature coral and mature pearls.
பனைக்கைப் பகட்டு ஈர் உரியாய் பெரியாய் எனப்பேணி
Having cherished with love the god as one who has a skin of wet with the blood of an elephant whose trunk is like the palmyra! great person!'
நினைக்கவல்ல அடியார் நெஞ்சின் நல்லார்
the devotees who are able think him as such, are people having good minds.

{$} பருதி இயங்கும் பாரில்
in this world where the sun moves.
சீரார் பணியாலே, கருதிவிண்ணோர் மண்ணோர் விரும்பும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the celestials and inhabitants of this world desire to gather, having in their minds the eminent service to god.
சுருதி மறை நான்கு ஆன செம்மை தருவானைக்கருதி
thinking of him who gave the eminent works of maṟai (Vētam) which is memorized by hearing (and not written).
எழுமின்
wake up from your sleep! People of this world!
வழுவாவண்மை துயர்போம்
all the sufferings will go away without fail.

{$} மந்தம் மருவும் பொழிலில் எழிலார் மது உண்டு
Having drunk the sweet honey in the parks where the slow-moving southern breeze is staying.
கந்தம் மருவ வரிவண்டு இசை செய் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the bees having lines on them hum like music as they have come into contact with fragrance.
பந்த நீங்க அருளும் பரனே' என ஏத்திச் சிந்தை செய்வார்
those devotees who meditate upon god praising him, Most exalted one who bestows his grace, to remove all bondage'.
செம்மை நீங்காது இருப்பாரே
are those who stand firmly in the path of righteousness.

{$} புயல் ஆர்பூமி நாமம் ஓதி
Having repeated the names of God in the world fed by rain.
புகழ் மல்கக் கயல் ஆர் கண்ணார் பண் ஆர் ஒலி செய் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the ladies whose eyes are comparable to the carp fish produce the sound of music to spread the fame of god.
பயில்வான் தன்னைப்பத்தி ஆரத்தொழுது ஏத்த முயல்வார்தம்மேல்
on those who try to worship and praise the god who is permanent so that their devotion may become satisfactory.
வெம்மைக்கூற்றம் முடுகாது
the cruel god of death will not hasten (to snatch their lives)

{$} அரக்கன் முடிதோள் நெரிய அடர்த்தான்
God who pressed down to crush the heads and shoulders of Arakkaṉ (Iravaṇaṉ)
அடியார்க்குக் கரக்ககில்லாது அருள் செய்பெருமான்
and who grants his grace to his devotees without being able to conceal it.
கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle.
பரக்கும் புகழான் தன்னை ஏத்திப் பணிவார்மேல் பெருக்கும் இன்பன்
Happiness will increase for people who praise and worship him whose fame spreads everywhere.
துன்பம் ஆன பிணிபோம்
diseases which are the causes for sufferings will vanish.

{$} மாணாய் உலகம் கொண்ட மாலும்
Māl who received the world as a gift in the form of a bachelor (from Māvali)
மலரோனும்
and the Piramaṉ seated in the (lotus) flower.
காணாவண்ணம் எரியாய் நிமிர்ந்தான்
He who shot up as a column of fire so as not to be seen (by them)
பூண் ஆர்முலையாள் பங்கத்தானைப் புகழ்ந்து ஏத்தி
praising and worshipping the god who has on one half a lady who wears ornaments on her breasts.
கோணா நெஞ்சம் உடையார்க்குக் குற்றம் இல்லை
there will be no pain for those whose minds do not deviate from the path of virtue.

god who is difficult to be recognized by
அஞ்சி அல்லல் மொழிந்து திரிவார் அமண் ஆதர்
the ignorant camaṇar who speak distressing words behind the back, being afraid of saying them to the face and wander.
கஞ்சி காலை உண்பார்க்கு
and by the buddhists who have their morning gruel

கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle
தஞ்சமாய் தலைவன்தன்னை நினைவர்கள்
Those who think of god as their refuge.
துஞ்சல் இல்லா நல்ல உலகம் பெறுவார்
will attain the good world of bliss which does not know destruction.

{$} ஊழி ஆய பாரில் ஓங்கும் உயர்செல்வக், காழி ஈசன் கழலே பேணும் சம்பந்தன்
Campantaṉ who cherishes with regard only the feet of Civaṉ in Kāḻi having indestructible wealth, which floated above the floods of the deluge in this world which is destroyed at the end of the aeon.
தாழும் மனத்தால் உரைந்த தமிழ்கள் இவை வல்லார்
those who are able to say the Tamiḻ verses composed with a mind engrossed in God.
(வாழி) நீங்கா வானோர் உலகின் வாழ்வார்
will dwell in heaven which they will not leave.
