you have on one half a lady of tender nature who has a brilliant form.
அடைவோர்க்குக் கரு ஆர்ந்த வான் உலகம் காட்டிக் கொடுத்தல் கருத்தானீர்
you have the idea of showing and bestowing on those who approach you, the heaven which has the seed of your grace.
பொரு ஆர்ந்த தெண்கடல் ஒண்சங்கம் திளைக்கும் பூம்புகலித் திருவார்ந்த கோயிலே கோயிலாகத்திகழ்ந்தீரே
you were eminent in thinking the temple having wealth in beautiful pukali, where the bright conches moving from the clear sea which is always dashing against the shore, are always present, as the temple desired by you.

you have a red caṭai which is full of water.
நிரை ஆர் கழல் சேர் பாதத்தீர்
you have in your feet anklets adorned in a row.
ஊர் ஆர்ந்த சில்பலியீர்
you have some alms collected in many places.
உழைமான் உரி தோல் ஆடையீர்
you have dressed yourself with the skin of a spotted deer flayed from its body.
போர் ஆர்ந்த தெண்திரை சென்று அணையும் கானல் பூம்புகலிச் சீர் ஆர்ந்த கோயிலே கோயிலாகச் சேர்ந்தீரே
you dwelt in the temple of great fame in beautiful pukali which has sea-shore gardens which are reached by the clear waves which are dashing against the shore, as the temple desired by you.
[[When the waves dash against the sea-shore it appears as if the water is fighting with the land.]]

{$} அழிமல்கு பூம்புனலும் அரவும் சடைமேல் அடைவு எய்த
the beautiful water (of kankai) which has the capacity of complete destruction and cobra are on the caṭai in an order.
மொழிமல்கு மா மறையீர்
you are always chanting the great maṟai (vētam)
கறை ஆர் கண்டத்து எண்தோளீர்
you have eight arms and a black neck.
பொழில் மல்கு வண்டினங்கள் அறையும் கானல் பூம்புகலி எழில் மல்கு கோயிலே கோயிலாக இருந்தீரே
you stayed in the temple of increasing beauty in pleasant pukalai which has sea-shore gardens where the swarms of bees are flourishing in the garden, as the temple desired by you.

you covered your body with the skin of a fearful elephant to make the young lady having the tenderness of a peacock, to be frightened.
பயில் ஆர்ந்த வேதியர்கள் பதியாய் விளங்கும் பைம்புகலி எயில் ஆர்ந்த கோயிலே கோயிலாக இசைந்தீரே
you agreed to reside in the temple having a wall of enclosure in fertile Pukali which is shining as the place of vētiyar (brahmins) who always train themselves in Vētam and other arts, as the temple desired by you.

ஆடல் அரவம் அரைக்கு ஆர்த்தீர்
you tied round your waist a dancing cobra.
பா ஆர்ந்த பல் பொருளின் பயன்கள் ஆனீர்
you were the meaning and the fruit of many songs.
பூவார்ந்த பொய்கைகளும் வயலும் சூழ்ந்த பொழிற் புகலி அயன் பேணும் தே ஆர்ந்த கோயிலே கோயிலாகத் திகழ்ந்தீரே
you were brilliant in the temple full of divinity which was worshipped by Ayaṉ in pukali having gardens and surrounded by fields and natural tanks where lotus flowers are growing abundantly.

when the kuṭamuḻā is played on which there is a black paste.

மலையான் மகள் என்னும் பெண்ணார்ந்த மனம் மகிழப் பேணி எரிகொண்டு ஆடினீர்
you danced holding fire desiring it, to make the body of your consort who is the daughter of the mountain swell with joy.
விண் ஆர்ந்த மதியம் மிடை மாடத்து ஆரும் வியன் புகலிக் கண் ஆர்ந்த கோயிலே கோயிலாகக் கலந்தீரே

அமரர் ஏத்த அருள் செய்தீர்
you bestowed your grace on tēvar when they worshipped you
[[அமரர் is used in the sense of tevar who have a longer lease of life than human beings.]]
தெளி புல்கு தேனினமும் மலருள் விரைசேர் திண் புகலி ஒளி புல்கு கோயிலே கோயிலாக உகந்தீரே
you rejoiced to dwell in the temple of great brilliance in strong pukali where the bees of bright colour collect the fragrance which is inside the flowers.

having placed the king of arakkar who had many kinds of fame which spread for and wide and increased, under the mountain (Kailācam)
உரம் தோன்றும் பாடல் கேட்டு உகவை அளித்தீர்
you granted boons out of joy, on hearing the songs which came out of his knowledge (of the vētam)

Ayaṉ who is seated on the lotus which is supported by water, and (Māl) who measured the world.
கலந்து ஓங்கி வந்து இழிந்தும் காணாவண்ணம் கனல் ஆனீர்
you became a column of fire as not to be seen (by both of them) though they joined and flew high and went descending down the earth.
புலம் தாங்கி
Having borne in mind knowledge of reality.
ஐம்புலனும் செற்றார் வாழும் பூம்புகலி நலம் தாங்கும் கோயிலே கோயிலாக நயந்தீரே
you desired the temple which has many architectural beauties in beautiful pukali where wise men who have annihilated the five senses of the body, as the temple suitable to you.

{$} நெடிது ஆயவன் சமணும் நிறைவு ஒன்று இல்லாச் சாக்கியரும்
the tall and strong camaṇar and cākkiyar who do not have fullness of knowledge.
கடிது ஆய கட்டுரையால் கழற மேல் ஓர் பொருளானீர்
you were above the abuse of the exceedingly fabricated falsehood (of both of them)
பொடி ஆரும் மேனியினீர்
you have a body on which sacred ash is smeared.
புகலி மறையோர் புரிந்து ஏத்த வடிவு ஆரும் கோயிலே கோயிலாக மகிழ்ந்தீரே
you dwelt happily in the well-shaped temple in pukali where brahmins praised you with love, as the temple desired by you.

{$} ஒப்பு அரிய பூம்புகலி ஓங்கு கோயில் மேயானை
on the Lord who gladly resides in the flourishing temple in beautiful pukali which has no equal.
அப்பரிசிற் பதியான அணி கொள் ஞானசம்பந்தன்
ñāṉacampantaṉ wearing ornaments, who is the chief of such a high honour which cannot be explained in words.

செப்ப அரிய தண் தமிழால் தெரிந்த பாடல் இவை வல்லார்
those who are capable of reciting the choice verses composed in pleasant tamiḻ which cannot be recited by those who do not have the grace of the Lord.
எப்பரிசல் இடர் நீங்கி இமையோர் உலகத்து இருப்பாரே
in whatever they may get sufferings they will be free from them and enjoy the pleasures in the paradise of the tēvar.
