Civaṉ who has as a half a young lady.
தண்மதி சேர் சடையான்
he has a caṭai on which the cool crescent is united.
மை உலாம் மணி மிடற்றான்
has a beautiful neck in which the poison is moving.
மறை விளங்கு பாடலான்
chants the renowned vetams.
நெய் உலாம் மூ இலை வேல் ஏந்தி நிவந்து
holding a trident of three blades on which fat is smeared, and rising high.
ஒளிசேர் கையுடையான் மேவி உறை கோயில் கைச்சினம் (ஏ)
Kaīcciṉam is the temple where he who has a brilliant hand dwells.

Civaṉ has a neck which is full of poison.
வெள்வளை ஓர் கூறு உடையான்
has as one half a lady wearing white bangles.
படம் மல்கு பாம்பு அரையான்
wears in the waist a cobra which has spread its hood.
பற்றாதார் புரம் எரித்தான்
burnt the cities of the enemies.
நடம் மல்கு ஆடலினான்
dances a kind of naṭam
நான் மறை ஓர் பாடலினான்
chants the four vētam.
கடம் மல்கு மா உரியான்
covers himself with the skin of an elephant of increasing must.

பைங்கொன்றை பாம்பினொடும் வெண்மதியம் துன்று கரந்தையொடும் சூடலான்
wears on his head along with the cobra fresh koṉṟai flowers, a white crescent and sweet basil leaves.
அங்கை அனல் ஏந்தி ஆடலான்
dances holding fire in the palm.
ஆடு அரவக் காடலான்
adorns himself profusely with cobras which dances spreading their hoods.

the celestials falling at his feet and praising with joined hands, the master who consumed the poison that rose in the roaring ocean when, long ago, the immortals joined together and churned it!.
விண்டவர்கள் தொல் நகரம் மூன்று உடனே வெந்து அவியக் கண்ட பிரான்
the master who caused the old cities of the enemies to perish by being burning simultaneously.

{$} தேய்ந்து மலி வெண் பிறையான்
Civaṉ has a crescent that wanes and waxes.
செய்ய திருமேனியினான்
has a holy red body
வாய்ந்து இலங்கு வெண்ணீற்றான்
smears himself with white sacred ash which shines suited to him.
மாதினை ஓர் கூறு உடையான்
has a lady as his half.
சாய்ந்து அமரர் வேண்டத் தடங்கடல் நஞ்சு உண்டு
consuming the poison that appeared in the big ocean as the immortals were afflicted with it.
அநங்கைக் காய்ந்த பிரான் மேவி உறை கோயில் கைச்சினம் (ஏ)
Kaicciṉam is the temple where Civaṉ who destroyed anaṅku (cupid)

மன்னும் மறை பயின்றான்
practised chanting the vētams which are eternal.
அங்கை ஓர் வெண் தலையான்
has a skull in the palm.
ஆடு அரவம் பூண்டு உகந்தான்
became great by adorning himself with cobras which dance.
திங்களொடு பாம்பு அணிந்த சீர் ஆர் திருமுடிமேல் கங்கையினான்
has Kaṅkai on his graceful head which has as adornments a cobra with the crescent.

{$} வரி அரவே நாண் ஆக மால் வரையே வில் ஆக எரி கணையால் முப்புரங்கள் எய்து உகந்த எம் பெருமான்
our god who became great by dicharging a burning arrow on the three cities, having a serpent with lines as bowstring and the big mountain as the bow.
பொரி சுடலை ஈமப் புறங்காட்டான்
dwells in the cremation outside the village which has funeral pyres and is blackened by fire.
போர்த்தது ஓர் கரிஉரியான்
covers himself with the skin o f an elephant.

{$} திருமுடிமேல் போது உலவு கொன்றை புனைந்தான்
Civaṉ adorned his sacred head with the buds of koṉṟai which are moving.
மாது உமையாள் அஞ்ச மலை எடுத்த வாள் அரக்கன் நீதியினால் ஏத்த நிகழ்வித்து
making the cruel arakkaṉ who lifted the mountain to cause fear to Umai, the lady, perish and then making him shine as before when he praised in the right way.
நின்று ஆடும் காதலினான்
desires to dance standing.

Māl who went to māvali long ago and begged for land.

the master who assumed the form of fire so that both of them could not know him by their thoughts.
பண் இசையால் ஏத்தப் படுவான்
is praised by music having meldoy-types.
தன் நெற்றியின் மேல் கண் உடையான்
has an eye on the forehead.

தண் வயல் சூழ் காழித் தமிழ் ஞானசம்பந்தன் பண் இசையால் ஏத்திப் பயின்ற இவை வல்லார்
those who are capable of reciting these verses which were practised by praising with music having melody-types and composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ having scholarship in Tamiḻ who is a native of Kāḻi surrounded by cool fields.
விண்ணவராய் ஓங்கி வியன் உலகம் ஆள்வார் (ஏ)
will rule over the heaven being elevated as celestials.
