வார் ஆர் முலை மங்கையொடும்(ம்) உடன் ஆகி
being united with a young lady who wears on her breasts a bodice.
ஏர் ஆர் இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
the Lord of the universe, Civaṉ, who chose as his abode irumpūḷai full of beauty.
கார் ஆர்கடல் நஞ்சு அமுது உண்ட கருத்து
the idea behind consuming as nectar the poison that rose in the ocean where clouds settle

being united with the lady who wears bangles of exquisite workmanship and whose words are as sweet as the music produced by flute.

மின்போல் மருங்குல் மடவாளோடும் மேவி
being united with a lady who has a waist flexible as the lightning.
இன்பாய் இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
the Lord of the universe, Civaṉ who chose as his abode, Irumpūḷai.
பொன் போல் சடையிற் புனல் வைத்த பொருள் (ஏ)
the idea with which he placed the water of the Kaṅkai on his caṭai glittering like gold.

நமக்கு இது சொல்லீர்
please tell me this thing.
கச்சிப் பொலி காமக் கொடியுடன் கூடி
joining with Kāmakkoṭi who is prominent in Kacci.
இச்சித்து இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
the Lord of the universe, Civaṉ who chose as his abode irumaḷai, desiring it.
உச்சித்தாலையில் ஊண் பலி கொண்டு உழல்
wandering receiving alms for food in the top most head of Piramaṉ.

{$} சுற்று ஆர்ந்து அடி தொழுவீர்
Devotees who worship with joined hands the feet of Civaṉ, surrounding him completely on all sides!.

நல் தாழ் குழல் நங்கையொடும்(ம்) உடன் ஆகி
being united with a lady of distinction who has beautiful tresses of hair hanging on the nape.

of what sort (it is)!
இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
the Lord of the universe, Civaṉ who chose as his abode irumpūḷai.
புற்று ஆடு அரவோடு என்பு பூண்ட பொருளே
the object of wearing as ornaments bones and cobra which dance and live in anthills.

சேடு ஆர் குழல் சேயிழையோடு உடன் ஆகி
being united with a lady wearing beautiful ornament and having beautiful tresses of hairs.
ஈடாய்
matching his greatness.
இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
Civaṉ the Lord of the universe, who chose irumpūḷai as his abode.
காடு ஆர் கடு வேடுவன் ஆனகருத்து
the intention for having taken the form of a ferocious hunter who lives in the forest

பருக்கை மத வேழம் உரித்து
having flayed an elephant having a big trunk and must.
உமையோடும் இருக்கை இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
Civaṉ, the Lord of the universe, who chose as his abode irumpūḷai, along with Umai.
அரக்கன்(ன்) உரம் தீர்த்து ஆக்கிய ஆறு (ஏ)
bestowing his grace after having destroyed the strength of the arakkaṉ, Irāvaṇaṉ.

{$} துயர் ஆயின (1) நீங்கித் தொழும் தொண்டர்
Devotees who worship with joined hands, as your sufferings have left you!

கயல் ஆர் கருங்கண்ணியொடும் (ம்) உடன் ஆகி
being united with a lady of black eyes which are like the carp.
இயல் பாய் இரும்பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
Civaṉ the Lord of the universe, who chose as his abode irumpūḷai, to suit his nature.
முயல்வார் இருவர்க்கு எரி ஆகிய மொய்ம்பே
the valour with which he took the form of fire whose head and feet both Ayaṉ and ari tried to find but could not do so.

பணை மென் முலைப் பார்ப்பதியோடு உடன் ஆகி
being united with pārppati who has soft and big breasts.
இணை இல் இரும் பூளை இடம் கொண்ட ஈசன்
Civaṉ, the Lord of the universe, who chose as his abode the shrine irumpūḷai which has no equal.
ஆணைவு இல் சமண் சாக்கியம் ஆக்கிய ஆறு(ஏ)
the manner of creation of buddhists and amanar who do not come into contact with caivaites.

{$} எந்தை ஈசன் இடம் கொண்ட இரும்பூளை
on irumpūḷai which Civaṉ our father and the Lord of the universe has chosen as his abode.
சந்தம் பயில் சண்பையுள் ஞானசம்பந்தன் செந்தண்தமிழ் செப்பிய பத்து இவை வல்லார்
those who are capable of reciting the ten verses composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ in caṇpai, where vetams are always chanted in refined and cool tamiḻ.
பந்தம் அறுத்து ஓங்குவர் பான்மையினால் (ஏ)
by that nature, will increase in esteem having severed bondage.
