{$} பொன் ஏர் தரும் மேனியனே
Civaṉ who has a brilliant body like the gold!
புரியும் மின் ஏர் சடையாய்
who has a twisted caṭai like the lightning!
(1) விரை காவிரியின் நன்னீர் வயல் நாகேச்சர நகரின் மன்னே
and who is the Lord in the city of nakēccaram which has fields fed by the fertile water of the swift-flowing Kāviri.
என
to utter the above-mentioned names.
வல்வினை மாய்ந்து அறும்
the irresistible Karmams will vanish and completely leave us.

{$} சிறவார் புரம் மூன்று எரியச் சிலையில் உற வார்கணை உய்த்தவனே
Civaṉ who discharged a long arrow having fixed it in the bow to burn the three cities of the enemies who had no merit.
உயரும் நறவு ஆர் பொழில் நாகேச்சரநகருள் அறவா என
to praise as the god in the city of nākēccaram which has tall gardens in which there is plenty of honey.
வல்வினை ஆசறும்
the irresistible karmams will quickly leave us.

{$} கல்லால் நிழல் மேயவனே
Civaṉ who is seated under the shade of the banyan tree known as Kallāl!

கரும்பின் வில்லான் எழில் வேவ விழித்தவனே
one who opened the frontal eye to burn the beauty of Maṉmataṉ (Cupid) who has sugar-cane as his bow!
நல்லார் தொழு நாகேச்சரநகரில் செல்வா என
to praise him as the god in the city of nākēccaram which is worshipped by good people!
வல்வினை தேய்ந்து அறும்
irresistible Karmams will gradually decrease and disappear.

{$} நகு (1) வாள் மதியோடு அரவும் புனலும் தகுவார் சடையின் முடியாய்
Civaṉ who has in his fitting long caṭai coiled into a crown, water, a cobra, and a shining bright crescent!
தளவம் நகுவார் பொழில் நாகேச்சர நகருள் பகவா என
to praise as the one who has the six attributes and dwells in the city of nākēccaram which has long gardens in which red arabian jasmine blossoms.
வல்வினை பற்றறுமே
the grip of the irresistible Karmams will be completely destroyed.

{$} கலைமான் மறியும் கனலும் மழுவும் நிலையாகிய கையினனே
Civaṉ in whose hands the young stag, fire and battle are held permanently!
நிகழும் நலம் ஆகிய நாகேச்சர நகருள் தலைவா என
to praise him as the master in the city of nākēccaram where auspicious actions are taking place.
வல்வினை (தான்) அறும்
the irresistible Karmams will be cut at their root.

{$} குரை ஆர் கழல் ஆட
the warriors anklet which can make a sound when moving.
வரையான் மகள் காண நடம் குலவி மகிழ்ந்தவனே
one who rejoiced in bending his leg in dancing to be witnessed by the daughter of the mountain
நரை ஆர் விடை ஏறும் நாகேச்சரத்து எம் அரைசே என
to praise him as the King in nākēccaram riding on a spotless white bull.
அருந்துயர் நீங்கும்
great sufferings which will not leave us otherwise will leave us.

{$} முடை ஆர்தரு வெண்தலை கொண்டு உலகில் கடை ஆர் பலி கொண்டு உழல் காரணனே
the origin of all things who wanders holding a white skull which gives out an offensive odour, and receiving alms in the entrances of houses in the world.
நடை ஆர்தரு நாகேச்சர நகருள் சடையா என
to praise him as the god having a caṭai in the city of nākēccaram where people conduct themselves in the right path.
வல்வினை (தான்) அறுமே
irresistible karmam-s will leave us.
{2:24}__8+
{$} ஓயாத அரக்கன் ஒடிந்து அலற
the arakkaṉ who did not decrease in his cruelty, to roar, his body having been broken.
நீ ஆரருள் செய்து நிகழ்ந்தவனே
you become prominent by bestowing upon him abundant grace
வாய் ஆர வழுத்துவர் நாகேச்சரத்து ஆயே என வல்வினை (தான்) அறும்
the irresistible Karmams of people who praise him to the complete satisfaction of their tongue as the mother in nākeccaram, will leave them.

{$} நெடியானொடு நான் முகன் நேடல் உறச் சுடுமால் எரியாய் நிமிர் சோதியனே
the effulgent light which rose as the great burning fire when Piramaṉ searched for you along with tall Māl!
நடு மாவயல் நாகேச்சர நகரே இடமா உறைவாய் என இன்பு உறும்
the pleasure of this world and the next world will reach us of their own accord if we praise you who dwells in the city of nākēccaram which has big fields in which seedlings are transplanted.

{$} மலம் பாவிய கையொடு மண்டையது உண் கலம் பாவியர் கட்டுரை விட்டு
leaving the fabrications of sinful persons who eat from an earthern vessel using it as a plate, with their hands which is full of dirt.
உலகில் நலம் பாவிய நாகேச்சுர நகருள் சிலம்பா எனத் தீவினை தேய்ந்து அறுமே
evil Karmams will diminish and disappear completely if we praise, one who is seated in the mouth Kayilai and who is in the city of nākēccaram where many good things spread out.

{$} கலம் ஆர் கடல் சூழ்தரு காழியர் கோன்
the chief among the resisdents of Kāḻi which is surrounded by the sea in which ships sail.
தலம் ஆர்தரு செந்தமிழின் விரகன்
ñāṉacampantaṉ clever in chaste tamiḻ which spreads throughout tamiḻ nāṭu.
நலம் ஆர்தரு நாகேச்சரத்தானைச் (1) சொலல் மாலைகள் சொல்ல நி(ல்)லா வினையே
Karmams will not remain with us if we recite the garlands of words which were composed (by him) in praise of the god in Nākēccaram where all good things are available in plenty.
