{$} அயில் ஆரும் அம்பதனால் புரம் மூன்று எய்து
Having discharged a sharp arrow on the three cities.
குயில் ஆரும் மென் மொழியாள் ஒருகூறு ஆகி
and having on one half a lady who speaks soft and sweet words like the indian cuckoo
[[குயில்வாய் மொழி அம்மை: is the name of the goddess in this shrine]]
மயில் ஆரும் மல்கிய சோலை மணஞ்சேரிப் பயில்வானைப் பற்றிநின்றார்க்கு
to those who hold the god who is always in Maṇañcēri with prospering gardens in which there are plenty of peacocks, as their support.
பாவம் இல்லை
there is no sin.

{$} விதியானை
god who is the rule laid down in Vētam and Ākamam.
[[it may mean also this: one who creates all things]]
விண்ணவர் (தாம்) தொழுது ஏத்திய நெதியானை
who is the wealth who is worshipped by the celestials.
[[நெதி -- நிதி; இ and எ are interchangeable]]
நீள் சடைமேல் நிகழ்வித்த வால் மதியானை
who causes the white crescent on the long caṭai, to shine.
[[வான்மதி the crescent that shines in the sky is another meaning]]
வண்பொழில் சூழ்ந்த மணஞ்சேரிப் பதியானைப் பாடவல்லார் வினை பாறுமே
the Karmams of those who are capable of singing the praise of the god in the shrine of Maṇañcēri surrounded by gardens with their products, will vanish.

{$} எய்ப்பு ஆனார்க்கு இன்புறு தேன் அளித்து
Having given the sweetness of happiness to those who are weary of the world by life.
ஊறிய இப்பாலாய்
and being this milk which increases in sweetness.
என்னையும் ஆள உரியானை
Civaṉ who had the right to take me as his holy slave.
வைப்பு ஆன மாடங்கள் சூழ்ந்த மணஞ்சேரி மெய்ப்பானை மேவிநின்றார் வினை
the Karmams of those who desired the ultimate truth in Maṇañcēri surrounded by storeys which have hidden treasure.
வீடுமே
will be destroyed.

{$} விடையானை
Civaṉ who has a bull
மேல் உலகு ஏழும் இப்பார் எல்லாம் உடையானை
who has all the seven upper worlds and this world.
ஊழிதொறு ஊழி உளது ஆய படையானை
who has a weapon of spiritual wisdom which exists in every aeon.
பண் இசை பாடும் மணஞ்சேரி அடைவானை அடைய (1) வல்லார்க்கு
to those who are capable of approaching the god Maṇañcēri where people sing music in several melody-types.
அல்லல் இல்லை
there are no sufferings.

{$} எறி ஆர்பூங்கொன்றையினோடும்
along with the beautiful koṉṟai flowers that are shining brightly.
இளமத்தம் வெறி ஆரும் செஞ்சடை ஆர மிலைத்தானை
Civaṉ who were on the red caṭai of divine fragrance dhatura flowers just blossomed.
மறி ஆரும் கை உடையானை
who has on his hand a young deer
இடர் சேரா
sufferings will not join.
மணஞ்சேரிச் செறிவானைச் செப்பவல்லார்க்கு
those who are able to utter the names of the god in the temple of Maṇañcēri.

{$} மொழியானை
Civaṉ who has the form of words
முன் ஒரு நான் மறை ஆறு அங்கம் (1) பழியாமைப் பண் இசை ஆள பகர்வானை
who gave out music united with melody types long ago so that the peerless four Vētam-s and six Aṅkam-s may not be despised

வழியானை
who is the right spiritual path
வானவர் ஏத்தும் மணஞ்சேரி இழியாமை ஏத்தவல்லார்க்கு
to those who are able to praise Maṇañcēri which is praised by the celestials, without being negligent.
இன்பம் எய்தும்
happiness will come of its own accord

Civaṉ who is in the thoughts of all
[[it may also mean: this one who cannot be comprehended by all, thinking about him; He trancends the thoughts of all]]
எண் அமர்சீர் இமையோர்கட்குக் கண்ணானை
who is the eye to the celestials who do not wink and whose fame is limited.
கண் ஒரு மூன்றும் உடையானை
who has three eyes
மண்ணானை
who is the earth.
மாவயல் சூழ்ந்த மணஞ்சேரிப் பெண்ணானைப் பேசநின்றார்
those who praise the god who has a lady as his half and who is in Maṇañcēri surrounded by big fields.
பெரியோர்களே
are really great people

{$} எடுத்தானை எழில்முடி எட்டும் இரண்டும் தோள் கெடுத்தானை
Civan who destroyed the strength of the twenty shoulders and beautiful ten crowns of Iravaṇaṉ who lifted (the mount Kailācam)
கேடு இல்லாச் செம்மை உடையானை
who has the supreme bliss which has no end.
ஆர மடுத்து வண்டு இசை பாடும் மணஞ்சேரி பிடித்து ஆரப்பேணவல்லார்
those who are able to cherish with excessive devotion holding as their support Maṇañcēri where the bees hum like music, having drunk honey excessively.
பெரியோர்கள்
are really great people.

{$} சொல்லானை
Civaṉ who is in the form of words.
தோற்றம் கண்டானும் நெடுமாலும் கல்லானை
who was not known by Piramaṉ, the creator and the tall Māl.
கற்றன சொல்லித் தொழுது
uttering the praises of Civaṉ they have learnt and worshipping him.
ஓங்கவல்லார் நன் மாதவர் ஏத்தும் மணஞ்சேரி எல்லாம் ஆம் எம் பெருமான் கழல் ஏத்தும்
(people of this world!) praise the feet of our Lord who is all things and who is in Maṇañcēri praised by good people of penance and are able to raise themselves due to grace of god.

{$} சற்றேயும் (தாம்) அறிவு இல்சமண் சாக்கியர் சொல் தேயும் வண்ணம்
to destroy the words of the camaṇar and cākkiyar (buddhists) who do not have even a little bit of knowledge.
ஓர் செம்மை உடையானை
Civaṉ who has an everlasting bliss
வற்றாத வாவிகள் சூழ்ந்த மணஞ்சேரி பற்றாக வாழ்பவர்மேல்
to those people who live, having Maṇañcēri as their refuge which is surrounded by never drying tanks.
வினைபற்றா
Karnam will not stick.

{$} கண் ஆரும் காழியர் கோன் கருத்து ஆர்வித்த தண்ஆர் சீர் ஞானசம்பந்தன் தமிழ்மாலை
the garland of Tamiḻ verses composed by Ñāṉacampantaṉ of good fame who filled the noble mind of the King of the people of Kāḻi and who is the spiritual vision.
மண் ஆரும் வயல்சூழ்ந்த மணஞ்சேரி பண்ணாரப்பாடவல்லார்க்கு
to those who are able to sing with melody about Maṇañcēri surrounded by great fields of fertile soil.
பாவம் இல்லை
there will be no sins.
