in eminent Cikkal where the mansions with fortified walls on which the moon, which moves about in the sky comes and moves about, and the flower-gardens which have honey are in flourishing state.
வேனல் வேளை விழித்திட்ட வெண்ணெய்ப் பெருமான் அடி ஞானமாக நினைவார் வினை ஆயின நையுமே
the Karmams of those who meditate with the knowledge of the supreme being, upon the feet of the Veṇṇaipperumāṉ who opened his frontal eye to destroy Vēḷ who has summer as his appropriate season,

{$} மடம் கொள் வாளை குதி கொள்ளும் மணம் மலர்ப் பொய்கை சூழ்திடம் கொள் மாமறையோர் அவர் மல்கிய சிக்கலுள்
in cikkal where steady-minded brahmins are flourishing, and which is surrounded by natural tanks where fragrant flowers grow and the beautiful scabbard fish leap.
விடம் கொள் கண்டத்து வெண்ணெய்ப் பெருமான் அடி மேவியே
desiring the feet of veṇṇaipperumāṉ who has a neck containing poison.
அடைந்து வாழும் (ம்) அடியார் அவர் அல்லல் அறுப்பர்
the devotees who lead a life approaching the feet and will cut at the root of sufferings.

{$} நீலம் நெய்தல் நிலவி(ம்) மலரும் சுனை நீடிய சேலும் ஆலும் கழனி (வ்) வளம் மல்கிய சிக்கலுள்
in cikkal which has fertile fields in which the fish, cēl, leaps and has tanks where blue nelumbo flowers and white indian water lilies are shining, having blossomed.
வேல் ஒண் கண்ணியினாளை ஓர் பாகன்
Civaṉ who has as his half a lady whose bright eyes are comparable to the weapon, vēl
வெண்ணெய்ப் பிரான் பால் வண்ணன் கழல் ஏத்த
to praise the feet of the Lord veṇṇaippirāṉ who has the colour of milk.
நம் பாவம் பறையும்
our sins will vanish by degrees.

{$} கந்தம் உந்தக் கை தை பூத்தும் கமழ்ந்து சேரும் பொழில்
in the gardens where the fragrant screw-pine blossoms and spreads its fragrance taking precedence of all other fragrances.
செந்து வண்டு இன்னிசை பாடல் மல்கும் திகழ் சிக்கலுள்
in eminent cikkal where the humming of the bees is like the primary melody-type centu and increasing in pitch

It is quite certain that the Karmams of those who meditate upon the fragrant feet of veṇnaippiraṉ who smears well-burnt white sacred ash, will decrease.

{$} மங்கும் தங்கும் மறையோர்கள் மாடத்து அயலே மிகு தெங்கு துங்கப் 1. பொழிற் செல்வம் மல்கும் திகழ் சிக்கலுள்
in eminent cikkal where the wealth from the excellent cocoanut groves are in abundance by the side of the storeys of brahmins where clouds stay for rest.
வெங்கண் வெள் ஏறு உடை வெண்ணெய்ப் பிரான் அடிமேவவே தங்கும் 1. மேன்மை
the superior state of existence will stay with those who cherish with love the feet of veṇṇaippirāṉ who has a white bull of angry looks.
சரதம்; திரு நாளும் தகையுமே
the goddess of wealth will be with them always; it is true.

{$} வண்டு இரைத்து மதுவிம்மிய மாமலர்ப்பொய்கை சூழ் தெண் திரை கொள்புனல் வந்து ஒழுகும் வயல் சிக்கலுள்
in cikkal where the water with clear waves enters and flows into the fields; and which is surrounded by natural tanks which have big flowers with abundant honey for which the bees hum loudly.

விண்டு இரைத்த மலரால் திகழ் வெண் ணெய்ப்பிரான் அடிகண்டு இரைத்து மதியாய்; கதி ஆகவே
to get higher state of existence; you meditate on the feet of veṇṇaippirāṉ which is shining with the blossomed flowers on which bees hum, and offered by devotees; being fascinated due to love, having obtained sight of them.

முன்னும் மாடம் மதில் மூன்று எரியாய் விழத்துன்னுவார் கணை ஒன்று செலுத்திய சோதியான்
the supreme light who discharged an arrow to which was attached many parts, to be consumed by fire simultaneously the fortified walls of the mansions, in the distant past.
செங்நெல் ஆரும் வயல் சிக்கல் வெண்ணெய்ப் பெருமான் அடி உன்னி நீட நினையாய்
meditate for a long time on the feet of the veṇṇaipperumāṉ in cikkal which has fields full of the superior variety of paddy of yellowish hue.

தெற்றல் ஆகிய தென் இலங்கைக்கு இறைவன்
the King of ilaṅkai in the south, who had a clear intellect.

மலை பற்றினான் முடிபத்தொடு தோள்கள் நெரியவே செற்ற தேவன்
the god who destroyed the strength to crush the ten heads and shoulders of (Irāvaṇaṉ) who had in his grip the mountain, Kayilai.
வினையாயின ஓய
our Karmams to come to an end.
நம் சிக்கல் வெண்ணெய் பெருமான் அடி உற்று நினையாய்
meditate on the feet of our veṇṇaipperumān in cikkal, reaching them mentally.

{$} மாலினோடு அருமாமறைவல்ல முனிவனும் கோலினார் குறுகச்சிவன் சேவடி
Māl and the sage (Piramaṉ) who was well-versed in the abstruse vētams chalked out a stratagem to reach the feet of Civaṉ.

சீலம் தாம் அறியார்
they did not realise his nature of easy accessibility.
திகழ் சிக்கல் வெண்ணெய்ப் பிரான் அடிபாலும் நன் மலர் (உம்) தூவ நம் பாவம் பறையுமே
our sins will decrease gradually if we bathe with milk and scatter flower at the feet of veṇṇaippiraṉ in eminent cikkal.

{$} பட்டை நல் துவர் ஆடையினாரொடும் பாங்கு இலாக்கட்டு அமண் கழுக்கள் சொல்வினைக் கருதாது
without paying heed to the words of the amaṇar who committed such heinous acts as to be impaled on the stake; and buddhist who dress in red ochre robes soaked in the bark of marutam (மருதம்) tree
நீர் சிட்டன் சிக்கல் வெண்ணெய்ப் பெருமான் செழுமாமறைப் பட்டன் சேவடியே பணிமின் பிணிபோக
(People of this world!) pay obeisance only to the lotus-red feet of the great scholar of the great vētam which are eternal, who is veṇṇaipperumāṉ in cikkal and well-versed in vedic lore so that your diseases may leave you.

{$} கந்தம் ஆர் பொழிற் காழியும் ஞானசம்பந்தமன்
ñāṉcampantaṉ of Kāḻi which has gardens full of fragrance.
செந்தண் பூம் (1) பொழில் சிக்கல் வெண்ணெய்ப் பெருமான் அடி
at the feet of the veṇṇaipperumāṉ in Cikkaḻ which has cool and flourishing flower-gardens.
சந்தமாச்சொன்ன செந்தமிழ்வல்லவர்
those who are able to recite the refined tamiḻ verses composed by him with rhythmic movement
வானிடை, வெந்த வெண்ணீறு அணியும் பெருமான் அடிமேவர்
will reach the feet of the Lord who smears well-burnt white sacred ash, in Civalōkam.
