thinking with eminent love, The feet of the god who has a strong flag on which is raised the form of a bull, is my refuge.
நா இயலும் மங்கையொடு நான் முகன் தான் வழிபட்ட நலங்கொள் கோயில்

வாவி தொறும் வண் கமலம் முகம் காட்ட
when the fertile lotus flowers appear like face in every pond.

{$} பெருந் தடங்கண் செந்துவர்வாய்ப் பீடு உடைய மலைச் செல்வி பிரியா மேனி, அருந்த கைய சுண்ண வெண்ணீறு அலங்கரித்தான் அமரர் தொழ அமரும் கோயில்
the temple where the god who adorned his sacred person from which the daughter, of the eminent mountain who has big, long eyes, and lips as red as coral is never separated, with powdered sacred ash of rare greatness.
தரும் தடக்கை முத்தழலோர் மனைகள் தொறும் இறைவனது தன்மை பாடி
praising about the qualities of the Lord in every house of the brahmins who maintain the three fires and are munificent.
கருந்தடங்கண்ணார் கழல் பந்து அம்மானைப் பாட்டு அயரும் கழுமலமே
is Kaḻumalam where the girls who have black and big eyes sing appropriate songs when they play with molucca beans, balls and the game of keeping a numbers of (wooden) balls in the air.

{$} அலங்கல் மலி வானவரும் தானவரும் அலை கடலைக் கடைய
when the celestials wearing garland profusely and tāṉaVar (acurar) churned the ocean (of milk) which is playing in the wind
பூதம் கலங்க எழு கடுவிட முண்டு இருண்ட மணி கண்டத்தோன் கருதும் கோயில்
the temple which is considered important by the god of beautiful neck which became blue by drinking the poison of detestable taste which rose to make all living things confused.
விலங்கல் அமர் புயல் மறந்து
when the clouds resting on the mountain fail to rain.
மீன் சனிபுக்கு ஊன் சலிக்கும் காலத்தானும்
even at that time when the planet saturn enters into makaram (capricorn) of the zodiac, and when the bodies of living beings become lean (even at that of famine)

அமரர் பயம் எய்தச் சயம் எய்தும் பரிசு
as they were victorious so as to make the immortals seized with fear.
வெம்மைப் போர் இசையும் புரம் மூன்றும் பொன்ற
to completely destroy all the three cities which gave cruel battle.
ஒரு சிலை வளைத் தோன் பொருந்தும் கோயில்
the temple where the god who bent the pearless bow, dwells.
வார் இசை மென் முலை மடவார் (1) மாளிகையின் சூளிகை மேல் மகப் பாராட்ட
when the ladies of soft breasts on which bodices are worn are fondling their children in the open terrace of the mansion.
கார் இசையும் விசும்பு இயங்கும் கணம் கேட்டு மகிழ்வு எய்தும் கழுமலமே

the temple where the god of red matted hairs on which there are the crawling snake, the shining crescent, the leaves of vaṉṉi (indian mesquit tree) permanently in addition to perennial water of Kaṅkai, and laughing skull.
ஏர் தாங்கி மலர் நிலவி இசை வெள்ளிமலை என்ன நிலவி நின்ற, (சுதை மாடம்), கார் வண்டின் கணங்களால் கவின் பெருகு சுதை மாடக் கழுமலமே
is Kaḻumalam where the storeys of white plaster are shining like the famous silver mountain (Kailācam), which are beautiful and which have shining flowers and their beauty increases on account of the swarm of black bees settling in the flowers.

தழல் அணைந்து தவங்கள் செய்த பெருஞ்சதுரர் பெயலர்க்கும் பீடு ஆர் தோழமை அளித்த பெருமான் கோயில்
the temple of the great god who granted his highly esteemed friendship to the great and able person who has a complexion like the raining cloud, who performed many times penances in the midst of fires (பெயலர் : It is not clear whom this words refers to)
அரிந்த வயல் அரவிந்தம் மது உகுப்ப, அது குடித்துக் களித்து
having drunk the honey which the lotus flowers poured in the field which was harvested, and being intoxicated
வாளை கருஞ்சகடம் இளக, வளர் கரும்பு இரிய அகம் பாயும் கழுமலமே
is Kaḻumalam where the scabbard fish leaps in that field to make the big carts to break and the sugar-cane to leave way for them

Being the five elements beginning with the earth,
புலன் ஐந்தாய்
being the sensation of the five senses.
நிலன் ஐந்தாய்
being the five regions of land
கரணம் நான்கு ஆய்
being the four inner seats of thought
அவை அவை சேர் பயன் உருவாய்
being forms of the combination of the elements etc. mentioned before.
(2) அல்ல உருவாய் அமர்ந்தான் கோயில்
the temple where the god who has the form of knowledge which has no tangible form, other than those dwells.
தவம் முயல்வோர் மலர் பறிப்பத்தாழவிடு கொம்பு உதைப்ப
when the branches hit after being lowered to pluck flowers by people who train themselves to do penance, and then released
கொக்கின் காய்கள் கவண் எறி கற்போல் சுனையிற் கரைசேரப் புள் இரியும் கழுமலமே
is Kaḻumalam where the unripe fruits of the mango-tree reach the banks of the tanks like the stones thrown from the sking, to make the birds living in it run in disordered haste

the temple in which the god who pressed his toe to crush the twenty strong shoulders of the King of arakkar (Irāvaṇaṉ) who was wandering, having subdued the earth and defeated the immortals of great strength.
நடவந்த உழவர் இது நட ஒணாவகை பரல் ஆய்த்து என்று துன்று கடல் வந்த சங்கு ஈன்ற முத்து வயற்கரை குவிக்கும் கழுமலமே

the temple of the god who rose as a big column of fire whose head and feet could not be found by the husband of the goddess seated in the lotus flower, and ayan (Piramaṉ), after transforming themselves into a pig and swan, dug the earth and flew into the sky, though they went in both ways to the ulmost of their capacity

மணம் மருவும் வதுகை ஒலி விழவின் ஒலி இவை இசைய மண்மேல் தேவர் கணம் மருவும் மறையின் ஒலி கீழ்ப் படுக்க மேற்படுக்கும் கழுமலமே
is Kaḻumalam where the sound of the music during marriage when couples are united in wedlock, the bustle of the festivals combine and rise above, drowing the sound produced when the groups of brahmins chant the vetams

{$} கற்றவர்கள் பணிந்து ஏத்தும் கமுமலத்துள் ஈசன்தன் கழல் மேல்
on the feet of the god in Kaḻumalam who is bowed and praised by learned people.
நல்லோர் நற்றுணையாம் ஞானசம்பந்தன் (தான்) நயந்து சொன்ன சொல் துணை ஓர் ஐந்தினொடு ஐந்து இவை வல்லார்
those who are able to recite these ten verses which are helpful to devotees and which were composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ of noble character and the good friend of good people.
தூமலராள் துணைவர் ஆகி
will become the husband of the goddess of wealth seated in a pure lotus flower.
உலகு முற்று (உம்) (அது) ஆண்டு
and rule over the whole world
முக்கணான் அடிசேர முயல் கின்றார்
are trying to reach the feet of the god who has three eyes.
