{$} உரவு ஆர கலையின் கவிதைப் புலவர்க்கு ஒருநாளும், கரவாவன் கைக் கற்றவர் சேரும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where learned people who do not conceal anything at any time, and are liberal towards the poets who possess wisdom and knowledge of arts, gather together.
அரவு ஆர் அரையா! அவுணர் புரம் மூன்று எரிசெய்த சரவா என்பார்
those who praise the god as, one who has on his waist a cobra! one who burnt with an arrow the three cities of avuṇar.
தத்துவ ஞானத் தலையாரே
one people of the first rank in the knowledge of ultimate reality.

{$} மொய் சேர் வண்டு உண்மும் மதம், நால்வாய், முரண், வேழக்கை போல் வாழை காய்குலை ஈனும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the plaintain trees put forth hard clusters of unripe fruits which resemble the trunk of the elephant of great strength, hanging jaw and three musts which are drunk by the swarning bees.
மைசேர் கண்டத்து எண்தோள் முக்கண் மறையோனே, ஐயா என்பார்க்கு அல்லல்கள் ஆன அடையாவே
afflictions will not reach those who praise the god as one who gave the maṟai and who has three eyes, eight shoulders and a black neck! a person of respectability!

{$} கமலத்து ஈன்கள் இளகஇயங்கும்காழிசூழ
being surrounded by the backwater into which the honey produced in the lotus flows as the flowers unfold their petals.
களகப் புரிசைக் கவினார்சாரும் கலிக்காழி
dwelling in Kāḻi of great bustle and beauty of the wall of enclosure which is built with lime mortar.
அளகத் திருநன்னுதவிபங்கா; அரனே' என்று; உள் அகப்பாடும் அடியார்க்கு உறுநோய் அடையா
big diseases will not reach devotees who sing the praise with their minds fixed on it saying God who has a lady of beautiful forehead on which there are a few tresses, and araṉ (haraṉ)

மரகதம் போல் காய்த்து
bearing unripe fruits resembling emerald in colour.
கண் ஆர் கமுகு பவளம் பழுக்கும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the areca-palms of many joints become ripe like coral.
பெண் ஓர் பாகா, பித்தா, பிரனே என்பார்க்கு
near those who praise, one who has on a half a lady! pitta! our master!
வினைகள் நண்ணா
sinful acts will not come near.
நாள்தொறும் இன்பம் நணுகும்மே
happiness will reach them always.

{$} மழை ஆர் சாரல் செம்புனல் வந்து அங்கு அடி வருட
as the red coloured water coming from the mountain slopes where there are clouds, rubs the feet.
கழைஆர் கரும்பு கண் வளரும் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the special Variety of sugar-cane, grows, taller.
உழை ஆர் கரவா, உமையாள்கணவா, ஒளிர் சங்கக் குழையா என்று கூற வல்லோர்கள் குணவோரே
those who utter the names of the god as, one who has on his hand a deer! the husband of Umayāḷ, one who wears the earring made of shining conch are people of good qualities.

{$} வரைகள் நின்றும் குறிஆர் திரைகள் கோடு ஆறு, கறி ஆர் கழிசம் பிரசம் கொடுக்கும் கலிக்காழி
in properous Kāḻi which gives piracam, and where the river flows between banks, and which has waves with distinctive marks, and backwaters full of pepper

வெறி ஆர் கொன்றைச் சடையா, விடையா என்பாரை வினைகள் அறியா
sins will not know those who say, one who has a caṭai adorned with fragrant koṉṟai flowers! one who has a bull as a vehicle.
அருநோய் பாவம் அடையா
incurable diseases and sins will not reach them.

in Kāḻi of great bustle where the boats beaten by the waves of the ocean which has conches which have round shape, climb up the black fields.
இலங்கை மன்னன் தன்னை இடர் கண்டு அருள் செய்த சலங்கொள் சென்னிமன்னா' என்ன
Praising the God, O King who has water on the head and one who made the king of ilaṅkai to suffer and afterwards bestoved grace on him

in equal to performing penance.

{$} ஆவிக்கமலத்து அன்னம் இயங்கும் கழிசூழக், காவிக் கண்ணார் மங்கலம் ஓவாக் கலிக்காழி
in Kāḻi of great bustle where the auspicious acts of ladies whose eyes are like blue nelumbo flowers, are never ceasing, surrounded by the backwater where the swans seated in the lotus of the tank move about.
பூவில் தோன்றும் புத்தேளோடு மாலவன் தானும், மேவிப்பரசும் அரசே என்ன வினை போமே
all the acts good and bad will go away if one praises god, O king who is praised with love by the god who appeared in the lotus flower and Māl.

in beautiful and cool Kāḻi of great bustle where the moon having phases, reaches.
தலைவா! சமணர் சாக்கியர்க்கு என்றும் அறிவு ஒண்ணா நிலையாய் என்னத் தொல்வினையாய நில்லாவே
the old deeds will not stay if one praises chief! one whose nature could not be known at any time by camaṇar and cākkiyār.
