Kuṟṟālam where in the gardens of east indian Kino trees of many branches which grow in the slopes which exist since a long time and place in the hill (which has) unseasonal rains, the beautiful bees hum like the music produced in yāḻ
[[வம்பு may also mean novelty: Though one may look at Kuṟṟālam the novelty does not wear out, but the former meaning is better]]
அம்பால், நெய்யோடு ஆடல் அமர்ந்தான்
Civaṉ who desired bathing in pure water, good milk and ghee.
அலர்கொன்றை நம்பான் மேய நன்னகர்(போலும்)
is the good city where Civaṉ who wears blossomed koṉṟai flowers, dwells with desire.

Kuṟṟālam where daily festivals are increasing with hoisting of flags, when fame increases and servants of god follow him smearing themselves with many kinds of sacred ash.
கடி கொள் கொன்றை கூவிளம் மாலை காதல் செய் அடிகள் மேய நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city where the god who is partial to the garlands of fragrant koṉṟai and bael leaves resides.

செல்வம் மல்கு செண்பகம் வேங்கை சென்று ஏறி
climbing up the east-indian Kino tree and champak whose flourishing state is increasing, and spreading themselves everywhere.
கொல்லை முல்லை மெல் அரும்பு ஈனும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where the arabian jasmine, of the forest puts forth soft buds.
வில்லின் ஒல்க மும்மதில் எய்து
discharging an arrow from a bow to make the three forts become weak.
வினைபோக நல்கும் நம்பான் நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city of Civaṉ who granted his grace having removed their sins.

{$} பக்கம் வாழைப்பாய்கனியோடு பலவின்தேன் கொக்கின்கோட்டுப் பைங்கனி தூங்கும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where on the sides the spreading fruits of plaintain, the honey of the jack-fruit and the fresh fruits of the mango that are in the branches, hang low.
அக்கும் பாம்பும் ஆமையும் பூண்டு ஓர் (1) அனல் ஏந்தும் நக்கன் மேய நன்னகர்(போலும்)
is the good city where Civaṉ who is naked, who holds in his hand fire and adorns himself with bones, cobras and the shell of a tortoise, dwells, with desire.

மலைஆர் சாரல் மகவுடன் வந்த மடமந்தி குலைஆர் வாழைத் தீங்கனி மாந்தும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where in the slopes of the hills the young female monkeys which came along with their young ones, eat the sweet fruits from the clusters of the plantain tree.
சிலைஆர் சூலம் ஏந்திய கையான்
Civaṉ who holds in his hand a trident of three blades.
எயில் எய்த சிலையான் மேய நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city where he who discharged an arrow from the bow dwells with desire.

the young girls of the kuṟavar tribe whose eyes are like the dark blue nelumbo flowers, having gathered the gems that are found in the slopes.
கொய்ம் மாஏனல் உண்கிளி ஓம்பும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where they scare away the parrots that eat the ears of corn of the big mullet, about to be harvested.
கைம்மா வேழத்து ஈர்உரி போர்த்த கடவுள்(ள்) எம் பெம்மான் மேய நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city where Civaṉ our god who covered himself with a skin wet with blood of the big elephant having a trunk dwells with desire.

in the long garden surrounded by cool mountain springs where blue nelumbo flowers grow.
கோலம் மஞ்ஞை பேடையொடு ஆடும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where the beautiful male peacock plays with its female.
காலன்தன்னைக் காலால் காய்ந்தான் கடவுள்எம் சூலபாணி நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city of our Civaṉ who holds a trident and killed the god of death by kicking him with his leg.

Kuṟṟālam where in the gardens the common bottle-flowers shaped like a doll spread their fragrance, putting forth buds like the teeth which are like the sharp thorn, and are in the mouth of the cobra.
பிரம(ன்)னோடு மால் அறியாத பெருமை எம் பரமன் மேய நன்னகர்(போலும்)
is the good city where our supreme god whose greatness Piramaṉ and Māl could not know.

பெருந்தண்சாரல் வாழ்சிறைவண்டு பெடைபுல்கிக் குருந்தம் ஏறிச் செவ்வழி பாடும் குற்றாலம்
Kuṟṟālam where the bees which have wings and which live in the big and cool slopes embrace their females and claim upon the wild lime tree and hum like the evening melody-type, cevvaḻi.
இருந்துஉண்தேரும் நின்று உண் சமணும் எடுத்து ஆர்ப்ப
the buddists who eat sitting and camaṇar who eat standing to roar slandering words.
அருந்தண்மேய நன்னகர் (போலும்)
is the good city where the cool Lord who cannot be comprehended by them, dwells with desire.

{$} மாடவீதி வருபுனல் காழியார் மன்னன்
the chief of the resident of Kaḻi which has streets of storeyed buildings, and good flow of water.
நாடவல்ல நல்தமிழ் ஞானசம்பந்தன்
Ñāṉacampantaṉ who has good knowledge of refined Tamiḻ which is fit for research.
கோடல் ஈன்று கொழுமுனை கூம்பும் குற்றாலம் பாடம்பத்தும் பாட
if we sing all the ten verses on Kuṟṟālam where the white species of malabar glory lily put forth bud and again close their fertile petals pointedly.
நம்பாவம் பறையும்(ஏ)
our sins will vanish gradually.
