{$} படை ஆர்தரு பூதப் பகடு ஆர் உரி போர்வை உடையான்
Civaṉ has a an army of pūtam-s and a blanket of an elephant skin.
உமையோடும் உடம் ஆய்
being united with Umai.
இடுகங்கைச் சடையான்
[he] kept Kaṅkai on the caṭai
எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர்த்தகுகோயில் விடையான் அடி ஏத்தமேனோவா வினை (தான், ஏ)
acts will not reach those who praise Civaṉ who has a bull and who dwells in the suitable temple of Erukkattampuliyūr.

{$} இலை ஆர்தரு சூலப்படை எம்பெருமானாய்
being our Lord who has a trident of three blades.
நிலையார் மதில் மூன்றும் நீறாய் விழ எய்த சிலையான்
has a bow with which he shot an arrow to make the three forts of the acurar who had the nature of being permanent, fall as ashes.
எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர்த் திகழ்கோயில் கலையான் அடிஏத்த
to praise the feet of Civaṉ who holds a young stag in his hand and who dwells in the eminent temple in Erukkattampuliyūr.
கருதாவினை (தான், ஏ)
the acts will not think of reaching them.

{$} விண்ணோர் பெருமானே, விகிர்தா விடையூர்தி, பெண் ஆண் அலி ஆகும் பித்தா, பிறைசூடீ
the Lord of the celestials, one who is different from the world! who has a bull as his vehicle; pittaṉ! who is male, female and hermaphrodite, who wears a crescent!
அடையாவினை (தான், ஏ)
the acts will not go near those who utter the names.
எண் ஆர் எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர் உறைகின்ற அண்ணா எனவல்லார்க்கு
and as elder brother dwelling in Erukkattampuliyūr which is highly esteemed.

{$} அரை ஆர்தரு நாகம் அணிவான்
Civaṉ wears as a waist-cord a cobra.
அலர்மாலை விரை ஆர்தரு கொன்றை உடையான்
wears a garland of fragrant koṉṟai flowers.
விடைஏறி
who rides on a bull.
வரையான்
who dwells in the mountain Kayilai.
எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர் மகிழ்கின்ற திரை ஆர் சடையானைச் சேர
for people who approach Civaṉ on whose caṭai the Kaṅkai stays and who rejoices in dwelling in Erukkattampuliyūr.

wealth will come to them.

{$} வீறு ஆர்முலையாளைப் பாகம் மிகவைத்து
placing as a major part a lady on whose breasts a goddess dwells and gives them beauty;

the acts, good and bad will not desire to afflict people who meditate on Civaṉ in Erukkattampuliyūr, as different from other gods.

Having pressed down the arakkaṉ to roar saying alas'
தேவா என அருள் ஆர் செல்வம் கொடுத்திட்ட கோவே
the King who granted wealth full of grace when he requested saying my god'!
எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர்மிகுகோயில் தேவே என அல்லல் தீர்தல் திடம் (ஆம், ஏ)
if one says the god in the superior shrine of Erukkattampuliyūr, it is a certainty that his sufferings will be removed.

{$} மறையான் நெடுமால் காண்பு அரியான்
God who cannot be seen by Piramaṉ who learnt the Vētam-s and the tall Māl.
மழுஏந்தி

நிறையாமதிசூடி
wearing a crescent which has not grown to its full size.
நிகழ் முத்தின் தொத்து ஏய் இறையான்
Civaṉ who is like the mass of shining pearls.
எருக்கத்தம் புலியூர் இடம் கொண்ட கறை ஆர் மிடற்றானைக் கருதக்கெடும் வினை (ஏ)
the acts good and bad, will perish in one meditates on the god who has a black neck and who has as his place Erukkattampuliyūr.

we will approach the feet of the god who is the embodiment of all virtues and who is the father always present in Erukkattampuliyūr.

about Civaṉ who dwells in Erukkattampuliyūr full of beauty.
சீர் ஆர் திகழ் காழித்திரு ஆர் சம்பந்தன் ஆரா அருந்தமிழ் மாலை இவை வல்லார்
those who are capable of reciting the rare garlands of Tamiḻ with which one is never satisfied if he studies them many times, composed by Ñāṉacampantaṉ who had the wealth of Civañāṉam, and who is a native of eminent Kāḻi of great fame.
பாரார் (அவர்) ஏத்த வான்பதி உறைவார் (ஏ)
will dwell in heaven as their place to be praised by the people of this world.
