{$} வார் ஆர் கொங்கை மாது ஓர் பாகமாக
the lady who wears a bodice on her breasts being on one half.
வார்சடை நீர் ஆர்கங்கை திங்கள் சூடி
wearing on the long caṭai Kaṅkai which is in the form of water, and a crescent.
நெற்றி ஒற்றைக்கண்
and having a single eye on the forehead.
கூர் ஆர் மழு ஒன்று ஏந்தி
holding a battle-axe which is very sharp.
அம்தண் குழகன்
beautiful and compassionate youth.
கார் ஆர் கண்டத்து எண்தோள் எந்தை
and our father who has eight shoulders and a neck in which there is poison.
குடமூக்கில் காரோணத்தார்
is in Kārōṇam of Kutamūkkil

{$} முடிஆர் மன்னர் மடமான் விழியார், மூவுலகும் ஏத்தும்படியார்
Civaṉ has a body which is praised by the three worlds, ladies who have looks like those of the young deer, and Kings who wear crowns.
பவளவாயார் பலரும் பரவிப் பணிந்து ஏத்த
to be praised with humility praising in the second person by many whose lips are like coral.
கொடி ஆர் விடையார்
who has the form of a bull drawn on his flag.
மாடவீதிக் குடந்தை குழகு ஆரும் கடிஆர்சோலைக் கலவமயில்ஆர் காரோணத்தார்
is in Karōṇam which has many peacocks of big tails in the fragrant gardens and which are exceedingly beautiful in Kuṭantai which has streets of storeyed houses.

{$} மலையார் மங்கை பங்கர்
Civaṉ has on one half the daughter of the mountain.
அங்கை அனலர்
has on the palm fire.
மடல் ஆரும் குலைஆர் தெங்கு குளிர் கொள் வாழை அழகுஆர் குடமூக்கில்
in Kuṭamūkkil which is made beautiful by cool plaintain trees, and cocoanut trees having clusters of fruits and flat leaves.
அணிபொன் முலையார், முளை வெண் நகையார், மூவா மதியினார், கலை ஆர் மொழியார் காதல் செய்யும் காரோணத்தார்
is in Karōṇam which is loved by Umai who has golden beauty spots on her breasts, and white teeth like the sprout, a forehead resembling the young crescent and words in which the art of music is couched.

{$} போது ஆர் புனல்சேர் கந்தம் உந்திப் பொலிய(வ்) அழகு ஆரும் தாது ஆர் பொழில் சூழ்ந்து எழில் ஆர் புறவில் அம்தண் குடமூக்கில்
in cool and beautiful Kuṭamūkkil having beautiful jungle of great beauty and surrounded by gardens full of pollen beautiful when they shine, pushing the fragrant flowers, like lotus that drop on the water.
மாது ஓர் பாகம் ஆக மனைகள் பலி தேர்வார்
will go begging for alms in the houses, having a lady on a half.
காது ஆர் குழையர்
wears a men's ear-ring in one ear.
காள கண்டர்
has a black neck.
காரோணத்தார்
is in Karōṇam.

{$} பூ ஆர் பொய்கை அலர் தாமரை செங்கழுநீர் புறவு எல்லாம்
in the jungle there are red indian water-lily, blossomed lotus flowers in the natural tank full of charms.
தே ஆர் சிந்தை அந்தணாளர்சீரால் அடி போற்ற
the brahmins having minds thinking of god, to worship his feet by uttering his praises.
கூவு ஆர் குயில்கள் ஆலும் மயில்கள் இன்சொற்கிளிப்பிள்ளை காஆர்பொழில் சூழ்ந்து அழகு ஆர் குடந்தைக் காரோணத்தார்
Civaṉ is in Kuṭantaikkārōṇam, having crying indian cuckoo, dancing peacocks and young parrots speaking sweet words, surrounded by gardens inset with parks, and looking beautiful.

{$} ஊர் மூப்பு நலிய
when the sprawling old age afflicts.
நெதியார் விதியாய்
the path which follows the rule of fate.
முன்னே அனல் வாளி கோப்பார்
fixed the arrow of fire in the bow in the distant past to burn (the three cities).
பார்த்தன் நிலைகண்டு அருளும் குழகர்
the youth who granted his grace on seeing the nature of Pārttaṉ's penance.
உடலில் அடுநோய் அவலம் வினைகள் நலியாமைத்தீர்ப்பார்
will remove afflictions by Karmams, anxieties and diseases of the body that slowly kill men.
காலன் அடையாவண்ணம் காப்பர்
will protect men from the approach of Kālaṉ (god of death).
குடமூக்கில் காரோணத்தார்
is in Kārōṇam in Kuṭamūkkil.

{$} ஊன் ஆர்தலைகை ஏந்தி உலகம் பலி தேர்ந்து உழல் வாழ்க்கை மான்ஆர் தோலார்
Civaṉ has the skin of a dear and a life of wandering throughout the world begging alms holding a skull to which flesh is sticking.
புலியின் உடையார்
dresses himself with the skin a tiger.
கரியின் உரிபோர்வை
has as a covering for the body the skin of an elephant.
தேன் ஆர்மொழியார் திளைத்து அங்கு ஆடித்திகழும் குடமூக்கில்
in Kuṭamukkil where ladies who speak words as sweet as honey appear brilliant after bathing, without ceasing, in the holy tanks.
கான் ஆர் நட்டம் உடையார் செல்வக்காரோணத்தார்
who dances in the cremation ground is in flourishing Kārōṇam.

{$} வரை ஆர் திரள் தோள் மதவாள் அரக்கன் மலைஎடுப்ப
when the cruel and arrogant arakkaṉ having globular and strong shoulders like the mountain lifted the mountain (Kayilai)
விரையார்பாத நுதியால் ஊன்ற
when Civaṉ fixed the tip of the toe of the foot which has fragrance of flowers offered by devotees.
சிரம்பத்தும் நெரிந்து
when all the ten heads were crushed.
உரை ஆர் கீதம் பாடக்கேட்டு அங்கு ஒளி வாள் கொடுத்தாரும்
the one who gave at that place a bright sword, on hearing the famous cāma vētam being recited by Irāvaṇaṉ.
கரைஆர் பொன்னி சூழ் தண்குடந்தைக்காரோணத்தார்
is in Kārōṇam of cool Kuṭantai surrounded by the river Poṉṉi which has high banks.

{$} கரிய மாலும் செய்ய பூமேல் அயனும் கழறிப்போய்
the black mal and Ayaṉ who is seated on a red (lotus) flower rebuking each other and having gone separately.
அரிய அண்டம் தேடிப்புக்கும் அளக்க ஒண்கிலார்
could not measure the greatness even when they went searching in the rare universe.
தெரிய அரிய தேவர்
the tēvar who could not be known by them.
செல்வம் திகழும் குடமூக்கில்
in Kuṭamūkkil which is eminent by its wealth.
கரியகண்டர்
one with a black neck.

{$} அமணர் நாணார் நல்லது அறியார், நாளும் குரத்திகள் (1) தூய்மை பேணார் மாசு கழியார்
amaṇar have no sense of shame; do not know what is good; combining daily with old ladies doing penance, do not observe cleanliness; do not remove the dirt on their bodies.

சேண் ஆர் மதிதோய் மாடம் மல்கு செல்வநெடு வீதிக் கோணாகரம் ஒன்று உடையார் குடந்தைக் காரோணத்தார்
Civaṉ in Kārōṇam in Kuṭantai has a place of angles, which has long streets where in the storeyed houses which seem to touch the moon in the sky, increase in wealth.

composed on the god in Kārōṇam which is prosperous and beautiful by being surrounded by dark gardens.
திருஆர் செல்வம் மல்கு சண்பைத்திகழும் சம்பந்தன்
by campantaṉ who is eminent in caṇpai where wealth, which is desired by all is always on the increase.
உருஆர் செஞ்சொல் மாலை இவை பத்து உரைப்பார்
those who recite the garland of verses having words with their primary direct significance and beautiful form.
உலகத்துக்கரு ஆர் இடும்பைப் பிறப்பு அறுத்துக்கவலை கழிவார்
will remove their worries, having cut at the root of birth which has the suffering of living in the mother's womb, in this world.
