{$} வரிகொள் மாமணி போற்கண்டம் கரியவன் திகழும் கரவீரத்து எம் பெரியவன் கழல் பேணவே
to cherish with regard the feet of our great god who is in eminent Karavīram and who has a blue neck like the big sapphire which has streaks in it.
நம்வினையுள்ளன ஆசற அரியும்
that act will cut off entirely our Karmams that are still with us.

{$} தாழ்சடை மேலவன்
superior god who has hanging caṭai.
திங்களோடு உடன் சூடிய கங்கையான் திகழும் கரவீரத்து எம்சங்கரன் கழல் சாரவே
as we approach the feet of our god who does good and who is in eminent Karavīram, and who wears a crescent along with the river Kaṅkai.
வினைதங்குமோ
will our Karmam-s stay any longer?

{$} பூதம்பல்படை ஆக்கிய காதலான்
Civaṉ who created many armies of pūtam out of love towards them.
திகழும் கரவீரத்து எம்நாதன் பாதம் நணுகவே
to come near the feet of our master who is in eminent Karavīram.
ஏதம்வந்து அடையா
sufferings will not come and reach us.
இனிநல்லன
hereafter it will be all good things.

{$} மாமணி போற்கண்டம் கறையவன் திகழும் கரவீரத்து எம் இறையவன் கழல் ஏத்த
when we praise the feet of our master who is in eminent Karavīram and who has a black neck like the big sapphire.
நம்வினை உள்ளன பாழ்படப் பறையும்
our acts that are still with us will vanish completely without any trace of them.

{$} பண்ணின் ஆர் மறை பாடலன்
Civaṉ sings the vētams which are full of music

ஆடலன்
performs dance.
விண்ணின் ஆர் மதில் எய்த முக்கண்ணிணான்
god who has three eyes and who shot an arrow on the forts which were flying in the sky.
உறையும் கரவீரத்தை நண்ணுவார்வினை நாசமே
the karmam-s of those who draw near Karavīram where he dwells, will be destroyed.

{$} நிழலின் ஆர்மதி (1) சூடியநீள்சடை அழலினார்
Civaṉ has a long caṭai which is like fire on which he wears a shining crescent

ஏற்றுவலன் உயரிய எரிமருள் அவிர்சடை

ஆர் (2) அழல் ஏந்திய (3) கழலினார் உறையும் கரவீரத்தைத் தொழவல்லார்க்கு இல்லை துக்கமே
those who are able to worship with joined hands Karavīram where Civaṉ who wears Kaḻal and holds a fire of unbearable heat, will not experience any sorrow.

{$} வண்டர் மும்மதில் மாய்தர எய்தவன்
Civaṉ shot an arrow to destroy the three forts of wicked acurar.

warrior whose body glitters like the unbearable fire.
உறையும் கரவீரத்துத் தொண்டர்மேல் துயர் தூரமே
the sufferings of the devotees who are in Karavīram where he dwells, will go far away from them.

{$} புனல் இலங்கையர்கோன் முடிபத்து இறச் சினவல் ஆண்மை செகுத்தவன்
Civaṉ destroyed the valour, which is the cause of being angry with his enemies, of the King of the people of Ilaṅkai to crush his ten heads.

{$} வெள்ளத் தாமரையானொடு மாலுமாய்த் தெள்ளத் தீத்திரள் ஆகிய கள்ளத்தான்
Civaṉ who practised deception by becoming a mass of fire to be examined by Piramaṉ who is seated in a lotus that grows in water and Māl.
உறையும் கரவீரத்தை உள்ளத் (தான்) வினை ஓயுமே
the Karmams will come to an end if we meditate upon Karavīram where Civaṉ dwells.

{$} செடி அம(ண்)ணொடு சீவரத்தாரவர் கொடிய வெவ்வுரை (1) கொள்ளேன்மின்
(Devotees!) Do not accept the very cruel words of the amaṇar of bad odour and buddhists who cover their bodies with a garment called cīVaram

கடியவன் உறைகின்ற கரவீரத்து அடியவர்க்கு இல்லை அல்லல்
there will be no distress for the humble servants of Civaṉ who protects all, and dwells in Karavīram.

{$} வீடு இலான்விளங்கும் கரவீரத்து எம்சேடன்மேல்
on the great god who is naturally free from all bondage and dwells in Karavīram

கசிவால் தமிழ்(1) நாடு ஞானசம்பந்தன சொல் இவை பாடுவார்க்கு இல்லை பாவமே
there will be no sins with those who sing these verses composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ who made researches in Tamiḻ, with a tender heart.
