{$} ஒள்ளிது உள்ளக் கதிக்கு ஆம்
if one thinks of good things it will be of help to a higher state of existence
ஒளி வெள்ளியான் இவன் உறை வேற்காடு உள்ளியார் உயர்ந்தார், இவ்வுலகில் தெள்ளியார் அவர தேவரே
those who think of vēṟkāṭu of this god who is white in colour, are great people, they have clear knowledge in this world; they will be definitely considered as tēvar in this world.

{$} ஆடல் நாகம் அசைந்து அளவு இல்லது ஓர் வேடம் கொண்டவன் வேற்காடு பாடியும் பணிந்தார்
those who made homage by singing and dancing vēṟkātu of Civaṉ who has countless forms, having tied a cobra which can dance.
சேடர் ஆகிய செல்வரே
are great persons possessing wealth.

{$} பூதம் பாடப் புறங்காட்டிடை ஆடி, வேதவித்தகன்
Civaṉ the dancer in the cremation ground outside the village, when pūtams sing; is well-versed in vētams.
வேற்காடு போதும் சாந்தும் புகையும் கொடுத்தவர்க்கு ஏதம் எய்துதல் இல்லையே
sufferings will not reach those who offer him in vēṟkāṭu flowers about to blossom sandal-paste, and incense.

{$} ஆழ்கடல் எனக்கு கங்கை கரந்தவன்
concealed the Kaṅkai, like the deep ocean.
வீழ் சடையினன் வேற்காடு தாழ்வு உடை மனத்தால் பணிந்து ஏத்திட
if people pay homage to, and praise, with humble minds, vēṟkāṭu of Civaṉ who has a caṭai like serial roots.
அவர் பாவம் பாழ்படும்
their sins will be ruined.

{$} காட்டினாலும் அயர்த்திரு அக்காலனை வீட்டினான, உறை வேற்காடு பாட்டினால் பணிந்து ஏத்திட வல்லவர்
those who are able to praise and pay homage to, by singing songs about vēṟkāṭu where Civaṉ who killed that Kālaṉ who forgot the fact though civan ear before him Civaṉ was the sole cause when mārkaṇteyaṉ worshipped Civaṉ.
ஓட்டினார் வினை ஒல்லையே
drove away the acts quickly.

{$} தோலினால் உடை மேவ வல்லான்
Civaṉ who is able to make a dress of a skin.
சுடர் வேலினான் உறை வேற்காடு நூலினால் பணிந்து ஏத்திட வல்லவர்
those who are able to praise, and pay homage to, according to rules laid down in ākamams, vēṟkāṭu where Civaṉ who has a bright trident dwells.
மாலின் ஆர் வினை மாயுமே
the acts which are born out of confusion, will be destroyed.

{$} மல்லல் மும்மதில் மாய்தர எய்தது ஓர் வில்லினான, உறை வேற்காடு சொல்லவல்ல சுருங்கா மனத்தவர்
those who are large hearted and can praise vēṟkāṭu where Civaṉ who has a bow from which he shot an arrow on the fertile three forts to destroy them.
செல்ல வல்லவர் தீர்க்கமே
will live long in this world.

{$} மூரல் வெண்மதி சூடும் முடிவுடை வீரன் மேவிய வேற்காடு வாரமாய் வழிகாடு நினைந்தவர்
Those who worshipped with love and intention vēṟkāṭu of the herd who wears on head a smiling white crescent.
சேர்வர் செய்கழல் திண்ணமே
will definitely reach the feet of Civaṉ.

{$} பரக்கினார் படுவெண்தலையில் பலி விரக்கினான் உறை வேற்காட்டூர்
in the shrine of vēṟkāṭu where Civaṉ who has the ability to receive alms in the white skull of those who wandered searching his head and feet

அரக்கன் ஆண்மை அடரப்பட்டான் இறை நெருக்கினானை நினைமினே
meditate on the Lord who pressed down a little to crush the valour of the arakkaṉ.

{$} மாறு இலா மலரானொடு மாலவன் வேறலான்
Civaṉ who gained a victory over Piramaṉ who has no equal and mālavaṉ
[[வேறலான் can be split into வேறு அலான்: one who is not dfferent from Piramaṉ and Māl.]]
உறை வேற்காடு ஈறு இலா மொழியே(1) மொழியா எழில் கூறினார்க்கு இல்லை குற்றமே
there will be no defect to those who speak eternal words of the Vētams, upon the beauty of Vēṟkāṭu where noone dwells.

{$} விண்டமாம் பொழில் (1) பொழில்சூழ் திருவேற்காடு கண்டு
visiting tiruvēṟkāṭu surrounded by mango-groves which have blossomed.
நம்பன் கழல்பேணி
cherishing with love the feet of Civaṉ.
சண்பை (2) ஞானசம்பந்தன் செந்தமிழ் கொண்டு பாடக்குணம் ஆம்
it is a meritorious act to sing the praise of Civaṉ with the help of the songs done in refined Tamiḻ by Ñāṉacampantaṉ of Caṇpai.
